Jaime pov. I went to the salon with Nina to get ourselves pampered for tonight. We waxed got our manicures and pedicures. We decided to do our makeup so we went home and took a bath. I had the perfect dress for tonight, a black maxi dress decorated with sequins. It had a slit on one side that would reveal my smooth legs and a low cut v neckline which revealed the right amount of my cleavage. If that couldn’t turn heads in my direction tonight, I don’t know what would. I managed to just get out of the bathroom when the doorbell rang. It must be Nina. She must be here with her dress. We had agreed to get ready together. We got in our dresses. She wore a green dress that fit her body perfectly. With her red hair and beautiful freckles, I thought she looked attractive. I did her makeup just enough to highlight her natural beauty. I looked at my piece of art and smiled in satisfaction. “You look so beautiful Nina,” I told her honestly. She checked herself out, satisfied at her look. “You are so good at this Jaime.” She got up and looked at me. “My turn.” She said. I wore my black maxi dress. She stared at me with her mouth hung open. “Wow. Jaime. You honestly don’t need makeup tonight.” She exclaimed. I giggled. “You think the guy I’m interested in will look in my direction?” I asked. She widened her eyes in surprise. “Jaiiimeeee. Girrrrl who is the lucky guy?” she asked. “It is a secret.” I winked. She came to do my make up. “I’ll do minimal makeup ok? You look stunning already. A smokey eye and red lips will look great with this outfit.” She said. When she was done she stepped back smiling at me. “Wow honey, you look like you are from another world.” She told me. I checked myself in the mirror. I did look nice. I hope this would be enough for him to take some interest in me. “I kind of feel bad for sir William.” She said. “I know for sure that it is not him. He is hopelessly crushing on you.” She giggled. I rolled my eyes. “Don’t ruin tonight by saying his name.” I gagged. “I honestly hope I didn’t have to go in front of him.” I sighed. That was impossible. I had to do everything with him. Being at the same rank as he has made this job harder than ever. And tonight, I will have to set the stage with him. Ugh. I wish I could do it alone. I smirked. I actually should do it alone. Then perhaps I can do something that would make that wolf look like an i***t. I wanted her to make a fool of herself. Perhaps I can find something for William to get busy with. Just then someone knocked on my door. “Come in” I called out. My mom entered and gasped as she saw me. “Wow. My baby looks like a princess.” She exclaimed. I blushed. “You too look stunning Nina. Your parents must be proud of you.” She said. She smiled sadly. She had lost her parents during the years of tyranny of Visior. Those days, lots of wizards who rebelled against him lost their lives. Some were locked up in the dungeon. But Luke had released them. After the dark lord took over, no one was forced to do anything for him, but still, it was the scariest day. Unknown dark creatures lurked on the streets, especially at night. They will attack without warning. “Thank you,” Nina whispered. She looked down and smiled sadly. “Look mom she might start crying and ruin my masterpiece,” I whined. She giggled and I smiled at her. “I am not crying. I am trying my utmost best to make my parents proud. They died fighting for this realm and I will do the same.” She said. My mom caressed her on the back. “My dear. They would be so proud of you.” She said as tears filled her eyes. “Now go out there and break some hearts.” She said wiping a tear. We giggled and snapped our fingers. Why waste our time walking on the road while we can just teleport to the palace garden where the buffet was held? Besides I had a lot of work to be done. Nina went to join her group of knights while I went towards the makeshift stage. William was already trying to make it perfect. He most probably sensed my presence and looked at me. His eyes bulged and his mouth hung open. I rolled my eyes. Not for you dude. I need to get rid of him. I looked around to look for anything that I could use to send him away. My eyes searched around the garden that was decorated beautifully with magical lights. I had an idea. I need to make it stop working for a while. Long enough for him to attend it and for me to carry out my plans. “Masskaaa” I whispered keeping my eyes on the lights a little bit further from the stage. Just then two cold hands gripped the bare skin on my shoulders. I jumped in fear and turned around, only to face a grinning William. “You look splendid Jaime.” He said. I rolled my eyes. “You smell good too.” He added. Why can’t he take a hint? “You are lucky that I don’t knee you in your balls, creep.” I hissed. “You know what they say beautiful. If you hate to this extent, someday you will also love to that extent.” He smirked. I scoffed at him. “Not happening dude. Not even in your dreams.” I said. “Hey, Sir William. Something is wrong with these lights.” Someone called. William groaned before rushing in that direction. I smirked. So along i***t. I looked around. The stage was set and the seats for the king and queen were already put on the stage. William had done a good job. I walked to the queen’s seat and looked at it with much hatred. “Tialleessaa” I whispered. Let’s see how she gets up from that seat now. I smirked. Then I walked to the special drinks for the king and the queen. I looked at it. Perhaps I should try to put king Luke under a spell so that he would be in the illusion that he loves me. He will then soon forget about this stupid werewolf. Hmm. I’ll save that for later. Tonight, I will watch this woman make a fool of herself and make sure the Knights lose respect for her. Luke pov. I looked at the mark Sophie had put on my neck last night. I couldn’t help but smile at it. It was the most memorable night of my life. And this mark is proof of our love. Of course, we had to listen to lots of throats clearing and see lots of wiggling of brows throughout the day. I chuckled as I remembered how Sophie went bright red when Kira exclaimed in her excitement about the mark right in front of our parents. I felt her hands around me. “Still thinking about it?” she asked. I chuckled. “How can I not think about it?” I asked. I turned around to face her and gasped. She was all dolled up for tonight. She looked amazing in her gold and black dress had an A-line skirt. I absolutely loved it. Her golden tiara made it even look better. She swirled around. “What do you think?” she asked. I blinked and sighed. “Wow. You look amazing.” I said as I kissed her hand. She giggled. “Is it time to go there yet?” she asked. Just then there was a knock on the door. “It is time,” I told her. We walked towards the door hand in hand to go to the garden where the buffet was held with our escorts. We sat on our seats when we arrived at the venue. Some of the Knights came to greet their queen. Sophie was handling being queen well. you are doing great babe. I mind link her. Ever since she marked me we have been able to link each other. This was a completely new experience for me. Everything went pretty well. And it was time for us to address our knights. I got up from my seat and addressed them. Ever since Sophie helped me five years ago with my first speech, I had done numerous speeches. Now I am confident at giving speeches. Sophie also was to address them today. She was always an expert when it comes to speeches.  And I’m sure she will rock it tonight. However, she suddenly seemed to be in distress. I looked at her and raised my eyebrows. Luke, she mind linked. I can't move.
