2. it's magical.

Luke pov.

I held her hand the whole time. Everyone had left only me and her. “let’s dance,” I asked her.

She smiled. “But....”

I put a finger on her lips and smirked. I snapped my fingers and soon both of us were on the rooftop of the palace.

She was not new to teleporting but she was new to what she will soon see.

Then I snapped my fingers twice. Soon little fairy flies lit up the rooftop. She watched in awe.

“Wow. What are these?” she gasped.

“Fairy flies,” I told her.

“Can I see one closer?” she asked. I nodded and took her hand in mine. Sparks erupted each time I held her hand. I smiled. We had grown up together. We must have held hands a countless number of times. But never did we feel the sparks.

I sighed and opened our hands so that a fairy fly can land perfectly in the centre of her hand. Soon one of them was sitting on her hand. She watched in awe at the little fella.

“Wow. Luke. This is amazing. Her body is glowing and has wings. Look at her. I think she smiled. She looks just like a little fairy.” She gasped in amazement.

“Of course my love. They would smile to their queen.” I told her. Her eyes never left the little fairy fly.

"She is so beautiful.” She gaped at the little fella.

“You are much more beautiful Sophie,” I told her.

She looked at me and smirked. “Luke, I didn’t know you were such a tease.” She said as she watched the firefly go and join the rest of them.

I pulled her close to me. My eyes gazed deeply into hers. “Do you want to know how much I can tease?” I said in a lower voice, still maintaining eye contact.

I could feel her heart racing. “Luke....” She gasped.

I placed my hand on her cheek and caressed her cheeks. My eyes kept darting from her eyes to her soft lips. Soon the fairy flies started to hum their song.

“What is that?” she asked.

“The fairy flies are singing,” I told her. “Now about that dance.” I stepped back and held out my hand. “May I have this dance with my queen,” I asked.

She was still in awe. She took my hand and smiled. I held her waist and she kept her arms on my shoulders and we swayed with the song.

“Like this whole place is so magical.” She said.

I smirked. “Welcome to the magical realm babe,” I said.

Her smile faltered and she looked away. I frowned. “What happened?” I asked.

She looked upset. “Luke.” She whispered. “ I don’t have any magical powers. Do you think that I can be a good queen?” she asked silently.

“Sophie. Don’t think like that. Of course, you will. Otherwise, you wouldn’t have been my soulmate. You are a part of me. You complete me. Without you, I will not be my best. Besides you have your special powers.” I told her.

“Remember when the citizens cheered for you? They love you already.” I said. She smiled when I said that and she rested her head on my chest.

I sighed in content. I took on hand and caressed her arm. I needed to feel her skin. Sparks erupted at once.

“I love these sparks,” I said as I kissed her head.

“Me too.” She sighed. “Those are sparks of the mate bond.”

“And there is a mark too right?” I asked. “I remember my sister having a mark on her neck. Our moms were over-excited about it.” I told her.

She looked at me and smirked. “That is the mating mark.” She waited for some time. “Do you want a mark on you?” she asked.

“Of course I want your mark,” I replied. “Let’s do it,” I said.

She giggled. “I wouldn’t do it here.” She said. I furrowed my eyebrows. “Why not?” I asked.

Still smirking she traced my chest seductively. I gulped as I watched the movements of my little enchantress.

“It is called the mating mark for a reason.” She whispered and looked me in the eye.

I drew in a sharp breath and licked my lips. “Really? I so want that mark on me. I want the whole world to know that we belong to each other.” I said.

She giggled and bit her lips. That is it. I can’t wait any longer.

I snapped my fingers. Soon we were in my room.

This was going to be the best night of my life.

Jaime pov.

It was the annual day for us so we didn't have any training today.

I went to the river bank and stared at the far horizon. I occasionally threw a rock into it. I kicked the dirt now and then to let out my frustration. I groaned and screamed and held to my hair.

I had watched them go all lovey-dovey last night when council member Kira and the knight commander left the hall. He whispered something into her ear and then put his fingers on her lips. Then he teleported themselves somewhere. My blood boiled when I thought that they would go to their room.

"Aaaaaargh" I screamed.

It was not fair. I hate this. I hate my life. Everything was going the way I wanted it to until this ridiculous she-wolf had to ruin it.

“Jaime?” I heard my friend, Nina's voice. “Why are you screaming?” she asked.

“ugh. I just hate my life.” I groaned.

“What are you doing here anyway?” I asked.

“I just went for a walk. Then I heard screams so came to check it out. And you are here tearing your hair and screaming. Something really bad must have happened.” She said.

I huffed. “Bad? It couldn’t get worse. Don’t you think it is unfortunate for us to have a werewolf as our queen?” I told her.

She raised her eyebrows and looked at me surprised. She had never seen me like this or never heard me say anything against any decision taken by our king.

“Whoa. Jaime. They love each other. We all saw that in the coronation ceremony yesterday. The way he looked at her. And the way they held hand.” She shook her head in awe.

“I wish I can find someone who would look at me like that.” She added. “Besides, you never questioned any decision he took. So why do you question it now? It is personal life anyway. Not our business.” she said as if it was a fact.

I facepalmed. I am surrounded by idiots. I suppose there would be someone who would agree with me.

“Hey Jaime, we have knights' annual buffet tonight. You should come.” She said giving me a friendly pat on the back.

"Maybe we might someone for ourselves too," she added.

“You know, I think sir William has his eyes on you.” She said wiggling her eyebrows at me.

I groaned and paused my lips. I didn’t want any of this. Knights’ annual buffet is for knights and I want to be queen.

I rolled my eyes as I remembered that stupid William. He had always been trying to go on a date with me. I am not stupid to not know that he has his eyes on me. I think everyone in the knights’ quarters knows about it. He doesn’t even try to hide it from anyone. And the worst part was, that I had to go on missions with him the whole time since I was the female knight major and he was the male knight major. After the knight commander, we were the next highest in rank.

“Can you please not talk about that William?” I said as I made a face.

She giggled. Of course, she knew how I felt about him. I don’t like him. When would he get it?

“I think our king and queen will make an appearance in the buffet tonight.” She said. I scoffed.

Queen. She needs to leave, not be our queen.

“I think she would address the Knights tonight. I am super excited about it.” Nina squealed.

Address us huh? What would be better than making a fool in front of all the Knights on her first day? I smirked evilly. I think I know what to do.

“So will you come?” She asked. “Sure,” I answered as sweetly as I could.

Oh, I think I definitely will go to the buffet. And I’ll make sure that I am the most beautiful girl there. I need to make his head turn towards me.

And I will make sure that this pathetic she-wolf leaves the magical realm alone.
