Rion It’s been two weeks since we got back home. After our kiss, I had to distance myself from her. I might tell myself it’s for her sake, but I know that’s a lie. It’s for me. Maybe I’m being selfish, keeping her at a distance. Watching her from afar, but as soon as I claim her, make her mine, everyone will know. Our bond will be no secret and it will be open for all to see. I want to keep her to myself for just a bit longer. I look over my paperwork, the maps of the borders, there are small bandit camps set up just on the outskirts that we’ve been keeping a close eye on. Each day, they move closer. Vampires are sneaky creatures, lurking in the shadows. They think they have gone unnoticed, but I do. They are testing the borders, seeing where we are weak. So far they have found nothing, no openings to pass through. Aiolus, leader of the Vampires, has been around for hundreds of years. He’s always pushing the limits to see how far he can go, so far I’ve let him step gingerly around the borders. But now I have something important to protect. I cannot have him tip toeing around like the snake that he is. He retreated once before, after the war. He knew he was beaten, he slithered into the mountains to the north and for a while we heard nothing. Until about fifteen years ago, he resurfaced. He has not come to see me, but I’ve been watching. Waiting for him to make his move. I hear something outside. Looking out my office window, I see Elara. She is dressed like a man. Tight suede pants and a long black sleeved shirt with a leather vest, hugging her curves. Her breasts seem to spill out the top of the vest, the shirt covering them loosely. I swallow as I watch her. She moves gracefully in the field behind the castle. What is she doing? The way she moves reminds me of a waterfall, cascading into a pool of water. Her movements are fluid and precise, though the aftermath is wild and unpredictable. Her footing is unbalanced and if I were to blow in her direction I fear she may topple over. I leave my office and go find her. “What are you doing out here?” I ask as I approach her. She doesn’t even give me a glance as she huffs, “I’m becoming one with the wind”, I watch as a bead of sweat slides down her temple. “Why?” I walk up to her and stand behind her, reaching out to her. My hands find their place holding her by the elbows as I guide her. I gently kick her feet apart, shifting them into a better position. She allows me to adjust her without arguing. She takes note of how I plant her feet, “Because Yazier said he'd only show me how to use my dagger once I become one with the wind.” “I see. So this is where you’ve been every day.” “Yes. I’ve been practicing”. Her hair has become undone from her braid and blows softly in the wind. Small bits of it blow towards me, into my face as I breathe her in. “Why have you been avoiding me?” She asks out of nowhere. “I haven’t.. I’ve been very busy is all.” “I am not stupid Rion”. She spins in my grasp and our legs tangle. She tries to remove herself from me but ends up falling into me when she goes to step out of my grip and her foot catches on my own. I allow myself to fall onto the ground, she lands on top of me and I hold her in place. “No. You are not stupid.. I have been avoiding you” I admit. She’s so close to me now, her hair falls around her face. If I move forward just an inch, our lips would collide. “Then why?” Her eyes narrow at me, she tries to get off me but I don’t release her. “Because I want you so badly. Ever since we kissed I’ve been avoiding you, because all I want to do is rip your clothing off an f**k you. Right here, right now. I want to f**k you, hard and unapologetically. I don’t care who sees or who hears you. I want to make you scream my name, to make you beg me for more. I want to wreck you, completely make you come undone for me. But I cannot. Not when I have enemies lurking around at every corner, just waiting for a weakness. Something to use against me” My voice is hoarse, thinking about bending her over my knee and inserting my fingers inside her to make her c*m. “Won’t you always have enemies? When is it ever going to be a good time? Are you saying it will always be like this?” She argues. “No, it will not always be this way. Just give me until the Summer Solstice. I promise after that I will shout it to the entire world, that you are mine.. Just give me a month”. I feel myself begging. This is the only person who will ever make me beg. For anything. She nods and leans down, kissing me softly before pushing off, I let her go this time. “I have training to do.. I’ll see you at dinner?” She glances at me. “Yes.. I’ll see you at dinner” I get back to my office and can’t help but think about it. The idea of f*****g her right there in that field, the way she felt against my body. How badly I wanted to make her skin red from my touch. I unlace my pants and grasp myself in my hand and start to pump, slowly at first. Her soft skin turning red from me slapping her ass, my finger wet with her juices, as I lift it to my lips and taste her. I pump faster, feeling release washing over me fast. I groan and let my seed spill over my desk in a hot mess. I clean up and toss the soiled papers into the fire, watching them burn. I get to see her in a few hours, I try to focus on my work until then. Waiting for her to join me in the dining hall, I feel uneasy. Nervous. I was very honest with her earlier and I feel vulnerable because of it. The door opens and I expect to see her walking through the door, but instead it is Yazier. “What do you want?” “Dinner” He gives me a sideways glance, “You look all spiffed up. What’s going on?” He sits down on my left side. “You were not invited.” I snap, taking a sip from my goblet. I look up and see Elara entering the room. I stand and Yazier gives her a curt nod. I smack him on the arm and he hisses before standing. “I believe you’re sitting in my seat”, She says to Yazier. He chuckles and moves, pulling it out for her. “Just keeping it warm for you My Lady” He smiles and pushes her in as she sits. “Leave us” I order him, he sighs, “Where does a guy go to have a decent meal around here?” He jokingly grumbles. “Oh come on.. Into the kitchens with you”. Rosa pushes him in front of her, he gives her a coy smile. “Oh, if you insist dear.” Rosa blushes crimson and giggles, they disappear from our line of sight. “Is something going on with them?” Elara asks “They have been mated” I shrug.
