Chapter Six

1875 Words
After shopping, we go to a restaurant with food Rebekah has never tried, and then we return to Gloria’s. Rebekah tells Gloria that the necklace is missing, so now Gloria is trying to locate it, and we are just waiting for her when Stefan finally rejoins us. Rebekah: “You left us.” Stefan: “Yeah, sorry. Retail therapy was making my head explode.” Klaus: “Tell me about it.” Allison: “It’s not like we forced you to come with us. You could’ve left with Stefan. It’s your own fault, Klaus.” He gives me an annoyed look while Rebekah giggles at my comment. Stefan: “What’s she doing?” Klaus: “She’s failing.” Gloria: “It’s hard to find something when you don’t have anything to go on.” Rebekah: “So use me. I only wore it for a thousand years.” She walks over to Gloria. Gloria: “See? Now, this one offers a solution. Alright, give me your hand, sweetheart.” Stefan: “She’s, uh, she’s looking for the necklace, huh?” Allison: “Yup.” I know why Stefan is nervous about this, and I am, too. I don’t want them to find out Elena is still alive. Gloria: “I can sense something.[Chanting in Latin] I found it.” Rebekah: “So where is it?” Gloria: “It doesn’t work like that, doll. I get images. There’s a girl with her friends--” Rebekah: “Yes, a dead girl with dead friends if I don’t get my necklace back.” Gloria: “Well, I’ll have to dive back in to get the details.” Klaus: “So dive.” Klaus walks over to Gloria. Gloria: “I need more time. And space. You’re harshing my juju.” Klaus: “We can wait.” Gloria: “I’m sure you can. But that’s not what I asked.” Stefan: “Hey.[Pats Klaus on the back] Hey, you know, why don’t we just come back later? I’m hungry anyway. I’ll let you pick who we eat.” Knowing they will drink blood, I groan and don’t want to go. Klaus: “Allison, stay here with Gloria, and we will return soon.” Allison: “Alright.” I silently thank god he’s not making me go with them as they leave. Gloria gets up from her seat. Gloria: “At least he’s a little considerate of you.” Allison: “Yeah, although it’s usually only when it comes to their eating preference or killing. It’s better than nothing, I suppose.” Gloria: “Right.” After a little while, I got a text from Klaus to meet him at a restaurant that Rebekah wanted to try. After the restaurant, we helped Rebekah catch up on the last 90 years she missed. Although, Stefan is not with us at all, the whole time. We end up at a music festival, and I am having fun, going to different vendors with wine and beer to try out while listening to the music. Eventually, Rebekah returns to the warehouse, and Klaus takes me with him to check on Gloria. To our surprise, there is no sign of Gloria, and Klaus checked the whole place. He’s angry now and vamp-speeds us to the warehouse, where we find Stefan and Rebekah. Klaus: “Gloria’s gone. She’s cleared out. We need to find a new witch immediately.[He stops when he sees Stefan acting weird and Rebekah’s serious face] What’s going on?” Rebekah: “Something’s wrong. He was asking about Mikael. He’s not with us, Nik. I can sense it.” Stefan: “She’s wrong. Klaus…” Thankfully, Klaus lets go of his death grip on my arm, but vamp-speeds toward Stefan and snaps his neck. He turns back to me, still angry. Klaus: “Do you know why Stefan was asking about Mikael?” Allison: “Who the hell is Mikael? I don’t even know what Stefan has been doing lately. You’re always guarding me, so Stefan and I haven’t talked without you around, Klaus.” Klaus: “Right, well, it’s a good thing I know another witch. Since Stefan is hiding something from me, why don’t we go back to Mystic Falls and find out what that is.” Honestly, now that Stefan is ‘dead’ in the truck with all the coffins, I’m worried, and Klaus won’t let me leave his side. If I have to use the restroom, Rebekah has to go with me now. She thinks it’s a bit overkill, too, but Klaus is on edge enough that she’s not going to fight him for getting a little girl time. We are in the back of the SUV going to Mystic Falls. I’m terrified for Elena right now, and my friends and sister. Once he decided we were going to Mystic Falls, he took my phone as a precaution, so I can't warn anyone that he is on his way there. I am surprised, however, that he didn’t try to compel me. When we arrive in Mystic Falls, it doesn’t take long for Klaus to discover that Elena is still alive. He waits until nightfall, when all the teenagers are in the school for senior prank night, to enact his plan. Klaus: “I will go in there, find Bonnie, and get her to save my hybrids. Allison, you are coming with me. Having you in there will help the others have the motivation to do what I want. Just remember one thing, love.” He gently holds my chin while looking me in the eyes. Klaus: “You will never truly be in danger.” Allison: “What does that mean? Are you going to threaten them?” He drops his hand from my chin and starts walking into the school. I follow behind him, wanting to ensure he doesn’t hurt any of my friends or sister, while Rebekah stays with Stefan in the truck. The first person we run into is Elena. Klaus: “There’s my girl.” Elena: “Klaus!” Allison: “Elena, run!” Elena tries to run, but Klaus vamp-speeds in front of her. Klaus: “You’re supposed to be dead. What are we going to do about that?” Allison: “Klaus, please don’t kill her again.” Klaus: “I won’t; not yet, at least.” He takes Elena by the arm, and I follow right behind him as we head to the gym. Klaus: “You put a rather large kink in my plans, sweetheart. The whole point of breaking the curse and becoming a hybrid was to make more hybrids. I haven’t been able to do that. Now, my bet is it has something to do with the fact that you’re still breathing.” Elena: “If you’re going to kill me, just do it!” Klaus: “Not till I know I’m right. But I do have ways of making you suffer.” Allison: “Klaus, no!” Klaus: “Allison, remember what I said outside? You are on thin ice, love. Don’t push it.” When we enter the gym, he uses an American accent. Klaus: “Attention, Seniors. You have officially been busted. Prank night is over. Head on home.[Goes back to his normal British accent] You two. I remember you.” Dana: “I’m sorry, who are you?” Klaus: “Oh, don’t worry, I wasn’t in my right head the last time we met.[Compels] Lift your foot, please, Dana.[She does] If she drops her foot, Chad, I want you to beat her to death. Understood?” Chad shakes his head yes after the two have been compelled. Elena: “Don’t, Klaus. You don’t have to hurt anybody.” Klaus: “Oh, come on, sweetheart. Of course, I do.” Elena: “Allison, you have to stop him.” Allison: “I can’t. He doesn’t listen to me.” Klaus takes his phone out and texts someone. Dana is getting all wobbly, and I want to help her, but Klaus grabs my arm, keeping me by his side. Klaus: “Keep it up.” Elena: “Where’s Stefan? What did you do to him?” Klaus: “Stefan’s on a time-out.” The gym doors open, revealing Bonnie and Matt. Elena: “Bonnie, get out of here!” She stops, confused, and Klaus drops my arm before vamp-speeding behind her as she turns around. Klaus: “Ah, I was wondering when you’d show up. Now, we can get started. Uh, Dana, why don’t you relax? You and Chad sit tight.” Dana falls into Chad’s arms. Klaus: “I assume you’re the reason Elena’s still walking around alive?” Bonnie: “That’s right. If you want to blame someone, blame me.” Klaus: “Oh, there’s no need for blame, love. Just your witchy interference seems to have caused some undesirable side effects. And since you’ve caused the problem, I’m going to have you find the fix.” Rebekah comes in, dragging Tyler right up to Klaus. Tyler: “Get off of me!” Rebekah: “Hush now.” Klaus: “I’d like you all to meet my sister, Rebekah. Word of warning, she can be quite mean.” Rebekah: “Don’t be an ass.” She pushes Tyler towards Klaus, who grabs him by the back of the neck. Allison: “Klaus,” Klaus: “I’m going to make this very simple.” He brings him to the middle of the gym. Klaus: “Every time I attempt to turn a werewolf into a vampire hybrid, they die during the transition. It’s quite horrible, actually.” He bites into his wrist and feeds his blood to Tyler. Allison: “Klaus, no. Please don’t.” He ignores me. Klaus: “I need you to find a way to save my hybrids, Bonnie. And for Tyler’s sake…[Snaps his neck] You better hurry.” Allison: “No!!” I start crying. How am I supposed to tell my sister I watched as her boyfriend was killed? Elena, Bonnie, Matt, and I are struggling to keep ourselves together while Klaus & Rebekah sit on the bleachers to give us a moment to look over Tyler. Matt: “He killed him.” Elena: “He’s not dead. Klaus’ blood will turn him into a vampire.” Klaus: “And if Bonnie is successful, he’ll live through his transition.[He walks toward us] Go on, then. Go and fetch your grimoires and enchantments and whatnot. I’ll hold on to these two…[He grabs my arm and Elena’s] for safekeeping.” Bonnie looks worried, but we nod, telling her to go, and Matt leaves with her. Rebekah comes to check out Elena. Rebekah: “So this is the latest doppelganger. The original one was much prettier.” Klaus: “Enough, Rebekah. Take the wolf boy elsewhere, would you?” Rebekah gives him a look and then drags Tyler out of the gym. Klaus: “Just ignore her. Petty little thing.” Klaus lets go of Elena, so she can check on Dana and Chad. He pulls me, so I am flush against his body and whispers in my ear. Klaus: “As for your deception, I will punish you once this ends.”
