Mira's pov

Three days have passed since the day I got up from the bed and everything is back to normal.

Fortunately...

We are all good, safe and happy. 

Ethan and Angel are excited, we are spending lots of hours together and we slept all together with Liam two nights. My parents (the four of them) are calmer now. My mom still scolds me with every chance although but she stops quickly because Liam is constantly by my side and she feels better and surer. April is the same sweet, kind and caring woman like always and became Liam's biggest weakness from the four of them. She likes him very much and they discuss a lot together, they laugh and she was the first one that saw the good in him. Ryan and Jacob from the other hand are a bit tensed sometimes because of what happened. Jacob asked me to be stricter with the guards back at the pack and I asked from Owen and my uncle to do so. He is right, I know, I mean if something like this had happened to either of my kids I would have gotten crazy.

Cassie and James are great, they mated two days ago and they look happier than ever. They spend lots of time with Liam and me and Lily with Colton and Paul join us most of the times with Dom and Cilia. Paul is the craziest uncle there is and Lily with Colton play with Ethan and Angel when we need some time alone with Liam.

We all continue training David's fighters. I am glad that the others were doing it in my place for as long I couldn't and the progress they made is amazing. I feel relieved because I was a bit worried about this and Liam was missing the training too but fortunately everything is well. Tomorrow, we decided to send the half of our fighters back to our packs as everything is easier now and we will have less things to deal with.

What makes me more worried and I didn't know anything about it is that Cooper is missing from the day I got attacked and it has been six days in total from that moment. They all believe that this is suspicious. His pack is a mess and his Beta is holding everything under control with difficulty. The only thing he told us is that Cooper sent him a message that night and was writing him to take care of the pack until he comes back and he had some serious personal reasons and needed time alone. 

I am really worried to be honest, Liam is too mad at him, cold and distant when it comes to Cooper. He believes that Cooper is not an innocent man even if he acts great in front of me and he keeps reminding me what Cooper tried to do even when he knew that I was too close with him. 

I admit that Liam has a big point here, I mean that I was mad at Cooper and his behavior was anything but respectful but since that day he never got close to me and respected my wish. It's true that he was too persistent and looked very selfish for the first time but I can't say that he is that bad. I don't understand his passion for me after all these years and I hadn't realized it before but he is a kind man, he always was. I am trying to convince myself to wait until he comes back then and I want to talk to him about it but this is going to be difficult because now they are all against him and David is thinking about telling Cooper's Beta to leave back to their pack. He doesn't want to see him either and finds his behavior very disrespectful and rude as he had to inform him for his absence.

Anyway...

Moira is very happy these days. Since the moment we marked Liam and he marked us the bond is in the strongest condition and Phobos with her are very excited and satisfied. She asks to go for a run with Phobos these days and he does the same thing to Liam and we promised them that these days we will let them take full control and spend time alone because we understand they really need it. 

Moira is also very supporting when it comes to the most serious matter, this psycho called 'Shadow' or 'Nightmare'. They are all very strict when it comes to my safety giving me a headache and she is surprisingly by my side. She is a proud and strong wolf, I always knew it, I had no doubt but it is important that she believes so much to both of us like I do. She says that we have to deal with it smartly and patiently, if he comes back we have to be ready like I said to Liam and I am ready to let myself exposed if I have to in order to catch him for once and for all. Thanks the Moon Goddess that I have her or else I would have gotten completely crazy!

And Liam...

Well, let's just say that I am crazy in love with this man and he is the only one that I ever wanted and needed in my life. I had no idea that someone would manage to change so much and his transformation is out of every limit. He is a great father and the kids are more than excited with him. We are a true family even if everything is too recent and sudden and I love it. The nights we stay all together and sleep on the same bed are magical, first we play, talk and have fun, later we tell stories from all these years that we were separated and we sleep hugged with Angel and Ethan in the middle. 

At least we are all together now and we have a strong bond like a family!

Right now I am standing at the balcony of my room observing April and my father playing with the kids. We finished training for today and in about two hours it's lunch's time and we have a break from everything. Liam had some pack things to do with James and I am waiting for Cassie and Lily to come and decide what we want to do until lunch. It is such a lovely day and I really like it, it makes everything seems even more beautiful and peaceful.

I hear the door opening and I take immediately Cassie and Lily's scents. I roll my eyes and giggle on my own as these two aren't even trying to be discreet...

"We are here baby!" Cassie yells and jumps out of the room with a funny expression on her face.

"I could, hear you, smell you, and feel you i***t! Calm and silent as always!" I tease her and Lily laughs punching her arm playfully.

"Well... I am being very offended these days... I think I will leave you two alone and do something better on my own!" she replies annoyed and crosses her arms in front of her chest.

"We love you too! The best Beta ever... And the best sister!" I say and hug her.

"Okay, what are we doing now?" Lily asks thoughtfully.

"I..." I begin but James calls us and we listen to him getting in the room.

"Hey girls..." he says smirking as he gets out at the balcony as well.

"Where is Liam?" I ask immediately with curiosity and they start giggling wickedly making me narrow my eyes annoyed.

"Okay, okay Alpha-Luna!" James says quickly defeated.

"Well... He asked me to come and inform you... It was sudden Mira, don't freak out..." he continues and pauses nervous.

"The hell James! What is it? Where is Liam? What happened?" I ask frustrated.

"His father is almost here... He called us five minutes ago, he wanted to make us a surprise. Liam is down waiting to greet him and he asked me to come and take you to him. They want you there." He says smiling warmly.

FUCK!

I raise my eyebrows surprised and feel my heartbeat raising from nervousness.

His father?!

"Um... you mean... he is here? His... father?" I whisper trembling.

"Don't tell me you are nervous! Mira, he is a nice man and he already loves you! That's the main reason he is coming!" James says encouragingly.

"Well, go! You look great in this dress anyway. You don't have to do a thing!" Lily says quickly in a strict tone.

I sigh a bit worried and I nod nervously. 

Well... Okay, I know that Lucas likes me but still, he is Liam's dad and...

I look at myself and think about Lily's comment about my clothes. I like them, they are appropriate, she is right. The dress is quite formal, narrow but not too much, it reaches my knees, it has long sleeves, it's neckline is not that deep and it is dark blue.

Um... Yeah, I can go!

"Okay, let's go!" I say sighing for one last time.

James signs for me to walk first and we leave the room heading downstairs. 

As we reach down I feel more nervous and stop suddenly turning to James that narrows his eyes at me and crosses his arms annoyed.

"Alpha cut it! You have no reason to be worried about. I mean it Mira, this is ridiculous, I am telling you Lucas already likes you!" he says and softens his expression in the end.

"Okay, come on or else I will never be able to make it!"

Third person's pov

The two men were standing at the big entrance of the palace. 

They were smiling and Lucas had tears on his eyes while Liam's face was shining, it was one of the most important moments on his life. He was feeling like he finally had his father, he was feeling always alone but now he wasn't.

"Dad, you have no idea how happy I am! I am glad you came, it was the best surprise of my life." Liam told him emotional.

Lucas smiled to him and pulled him in his arms. 

Both of them were very tall and strong men with dark, almost black hair. Their eyes weren't the same though, Liam's were light blue and Lucas' were brown.

"I really needed to see you son! I am sorry for always being distant, I want to change this, I want my family around me, I need my children and grandchildren, I need you all!" Lucas whispered and tapped his back.

They broke their hug slowly but stood on their places smiling. They were not alone anymore, they had each other and a family now.

"Dad... I wanted to ask you... Mira is Jacob Adams' daughter..." Liam stated suddenly awkward.

Phobos was asking him the last two minutes to do it and he wanted to talk to Lucas about it too. He wanted to know and he was the only one who could give him the answers he needed.

Lucas' face seemed that he was surprised. He raised his eyebrows and took one step back opening his eyes widely. He couldn't breathe and after some seconds be sighed frustrated and confused.

"Jacob had never met his daughter... I knew from others about it but he never told me so... I never wanted to make him feel bad... He was trying to keep it simple with Zoey... I respected it..." he trembled and shook his head nervously.

"Dad, why did you never tell me about him? I mean that it is okay, now you know that Mira is that girl but I never knew about Jacob..." Liam told him confused.

"Um... He lost his mate, she was kidnapped and she was pregnant, I knew her too and they were very close friends of mine. When I was about to tell you that happened and we couldn't find her... So... Jacob felt the pain when she died and... Well... I know the pain, we couldn't deal with it so... He left and never accepted to communicate with me. I thought it was better to try to stop thinking about all of this... It was reminding me of the day we lost your mother, his pain was just like mine, well, it was worse for Jacob. I had you, my son but he... He didn't have his son... I am sorry..." he said emotional with his voice cracking in the end.

Liam had a painful expression on his face, he could feel the pain, the sadness, the desperation... He was right and his father was right, Jacob's condition was much worse and he needed to stay away from everything and everyone that was reminding him of Angelica and his son...

"It's fine dad, we..." Liam paused when they heard steps and turned to look at Mira and James.

They were walking down the stairs with Mira one step in front of James. 

She was smiling a bit nervously, Liam knew it but he was very happy. James was smirking pleased and Lucas got stoned and smiled immediately tapping his son's shoulder friendly.

"Our Alpha-Luna is here. Your wish, my command! I will leave you alone..." James said once they finished the stairs and left outside smiling.

Mira smiled awkwardly and stopped after the stairs staring at the father and son in front of her. Liam took some steps to her and pulled her in his arms kissing her forehead.

"Calm down love! He likes you already." He told her through the link.

They broke their hug and he took her hand in his leading Mira to his father. They stopped some inches away from Lucas who smiled at them warmly and Liam moved his hand and placed it on Mira's back softly. Next he cleared his throat and gave her a big bright smile.

"Father, this is Mira Adams, my mate, our Luna, an Alpha, my kids' mother and your daughter from now on!" he announced proudly and kissed the top of her head again.

"This is my father, Lucas Holder." He continued and pointed his father.

"It is nice to meet you Alpha." Mira said raising her hand for a handshake smiling.

"Sweetheart, you can't call me Alpha, I am Lucas or even father for you. Don't be formal, please!" Lucas told her smiling encouragingly and pulled her in his arms gently.

Mira smiled relieved and hugged him back. 

She was more that satisfied now that she had seen Lucas' behavior and reaction. He seemed such a sweet and kind man, so calm and confident, wise and mature. She knew how important was for Liam and Lucas hers and their kids' existence in their lives and she was feeling lucky.

Liam was smiling proudly next to them, his eyes were full of adoration and his heart was beating fastly in his chest. His wolf, Phobos was howling excited in his head and he was finally feeling whole and completed.

Mira and Lucas pulled back from their hug and Lucas caressed her arms smiling.

"I am very happy to finally meet you my dear! Thank you for your decision to trust Liam and give him one more chance. You are the only one that managed to change him. Thank you for everything! I know a lot about you, you are remarkable and I am looking forward to meet my grandchildren as well..." Lucas told her excited.

"Sure Lucas. We can go and see them now if you want." She replied and looked at Liam who nodded.

"Of course, let's go!"

~at the same time, somewhere far away~

He was locked inside that underground basement and he was like a lion in the cage. 

He had no idea where he was, why, who was keeping him and when he was going to see him. 

He was confused, he had all the amenities he wanted but he wasn't allowed to leave, he was imprisoned as two men were guarding him but they were denying giving him any information. 

He was getting crazy and he wanted to know what was happening.

"Who the hell ordered you to take and lock me in here? How did you know who I am and where I was?" he roared and hit his fist on the wall next to the bars.

"Sorry but we can say nothing. Alpha's orders!" The tall one man replied shortly with an emotionless expression.

"I am an Alpha too! I demand to know NOW!" he screamed again and his eyes turned black from anger.

"You are not our Alpha and you are lucky enough you are not in a dirty dark cell. Look around you and shut up!" The shorter man spoke back with annoyance.

This made him even angrier. Who was he and dared to talk to him like that? 

He was not in the same rank, he was nothing in front of him and he offended him that easily and shameless.

"I want your f*****g Alpha NOW!" he roared and began breaking everything in front of him ready to shift.

"Hahaha..." a devilish laughter sounded suddenly and the two men lowered their heads immediately.

He stopped breaking the things in front of him and walked to the bars with his eyes locked on the long dark corridor in front of him. The two men were standing on the right and left side at the beginning of it and they seemed scared. The scent hit him, someone was getting closer and he tried to control his anger and stay logical. 

He had to act wisely.

"Alpha Cooper... An honor..." the male voice said and a man's shadow appeared.

He was almost and the end, almost in the middle of the two men when he lifted his head up and Cooper gasped. 

Hazel, almost orange big eyes... 

He took some steps back breathless and sighed. He had a bad feeling about this, something was wrong, something...

"Leave us." The man ordered in a harsh tone.

The two men bowed in hurry and left like a flash leaving Cooper with the mysterious man in front of him. 

His eyes were shining and he was laughing in a low devilish way that made Cooper's body shudder, the energy of this man was by far not pleasant, he was frustrated for the first time in his entire life and this man was making him worse.

"Relax my friend..." the man said smirking and took two more steps towards him revealing himself.

He was a tall young man with dark brown hair that easily seemed to be black, big eyes, full lips and a cold and blank expression with a well build body. Something on him seemed familiar but again he couldn't be someone he knew or had ever met...

Cooper blinked his eyes confused, took some steps and stopped some inches away from the bars that were keeping him imprisoned.

"Friend? That's how you treat your friends? I am locked in here for about a damn week. No one informs me about anything and now you are coming here to play with me?" he asked through his teeth and his hands turned to fists.

"Well... You are a bit coward but still..." the man murmured annoyed and raised his eyebrows disappointed.

"Who the hell ARE YOU?" Cooper screamed and hit his fists on the bars shaking from anger.

The young man seemed unaffected from his sudden outburst and took one step closer to the bars with confidence.

"I am Shadow for you." He replied and signed for Cooper to calm down.

"I don't f*****g know you! What do you want?" he screamed.

"Calm down if you want us to talk..." he replied shortly with a casual, cold expression.

Cooper took one step back and crossed his arms in front of his chest and took some deep breaths trying to calm himself and his wolf with his eyes never leaving the man in front of him.

"Good, now back to business." Shadow said after some seconds.

"I know you and this is enough! I know everything about everyone... Especially for the Alphas that live at the palace right now..." he continued calmly.

"How?" Cooper asked him confused.

"I have my ways, my sources... This is not the point Cooper. The point is that I know what you want... Or maybe... Who you want, right?" the man said smirking wickedly and his eyes shined in the end.

Cooper shook his head speechless yet nervous. He couldn't have heard it, no... He really knew and...

"Leave her out of it!" he roared and his eyes turned black again.

"I am afraid I can't. Stop going so fast and listen... I can help you..."

Cooper narrowed his eyes in wonder and signed for him to continue. The man laughed a bit and shook his head in agreement.

"If you want her, she will be yours. I will help you, if you help me..." he said looking too certain about his words and sighed bored.

"Mira? Help you with what? What do you want?"

The young man sighed again but this time from anger. 

Cooper was too stupid but he was his only hope, he had no choice. He had to be patient, now that he was watching him he was sure that it wouldn't be difficult to convince him and make him believe all of his words.

"You won't talk again until I am over! You will understand soon..." he ordered through his teeth.

Cooper raised his hand warningly but after some seconds left it fell on his side and shook his head frustrated in agreement defeated.

"So... I know you want her and she doesn't want you because she has a mate. What if I tell you that I hate her mate and I want to catch him and kill him? She will be alone and all yours! I can help you present to her like a savior and then it won't be difficult to win her. Holder will be dead, she will be devastated, a woman with so many responsibilities and two kids that need a father so..."

Cooper was ready to fall down on his knees from the shock. He couldn't believe his ears and eyes, everything seemed like a dream, bad dream...

Winning Mira might was his dream but not like this, this was sick and crazy, he couldn't harm her.

"What has he done to you?" Cooper whispered lost and confused.

"He killed my mother... It doesn't matter how exactly... The point is that I hate him and I want to kill him, I need revenge! I can't reach him without Mira in the middle... She is his biggest weakness and I need you to help me get her, then she is yours." He replied calmly and rested his hands on the bars casually and relaxed.

"How? I mean how do you plan to kill him and how am I suppose to get her?" Cooper asked becoming way too curious and interested in this man's words. 

He couldn't stop himself, it was addictive and mysterious, it had to do with Mira and...

It was more than enough as he was realizing it second by second...

Some minutes ago he couldn't accept to even hear a thing but now... He wanted to know and a wave of desire for her was blinding him, he wasn't able to think right and clearly, he was desperate.

"I will tell you later how you will help me get her. If I manage to kidnap her then Liam will get crazy. He will lose his mind, he will stop at nothing to find her and keep her safe. I will keep her for some days and then I will send him a note about where she is and what I want. He will come to save her, I will trap him, kill him and then... You are coming, 'save' Mira, Holder is dead and she is yours. You can thank me after everything is over..." he concluded laughing ironically.

"You are crazy..." Copper murmured and rubbed his face speechless.

"I am smart and you know it! And kind with you... I can trap her and harm her but I don't want to make a mess... We can help each other and make our lives easier... You want her too much, don't you?" he asked smirking.

"From the first time I saw her. Before the private collage... When I had visited her pack with my father. She was fourteen then, I was dreaming about her every night. She was always in my heart even if we weren't mates..." Cooper murmured and sighed overwhelmed.

He was feeling heartbroken and desperate. The pain was killing him, the disappointment was unbearable. 

She had never seen him the way he wanted, she was too innocent and then when he tried to show her... Liam appeared and before he was able to react she was gone. Now that she was back she had his kids but he didn't care. He would love them because it was Mira's kids as well and that was enough for him. He would be the best mate for her and the best father for her pups.

"Do it Cooper ! You want it, you love her and she can be easily yours! Without Holder she won't resist you..." Shadow murmured like the devil.

Cooper looked at him without talking or moving. He was trying to think but he couldn't. In his mind there was only one thing, Mira. He needed her and he had to win her for once and for all. 

And...

Suddenly it wasn't difficult for him to decide.

"I will do anything you want me to but no one will harm her and she will have the same and more amenities that I had! You will inform me every day about her and once you kill Holder you will give her to me the next second." He stated strictly yet passionately as the idea of having her was appearing in front of him.

"Perfect! It's a deal then!" Shadow replied smirking pleased and unlocked the door which was keeping Cooper inside the underground, luxurious basement.

He walked to him and raised his hand for a handshake. 

Cooper took his hand quickly and smiled with eyes shining from hunger. 

He was sure, Mira would be his soon. She hadn't accepted him some days ago at the forest when he asked her to leave Liam and be with him. 

Now Liam had to pay for all the pain he had caused to him and most importantly to his Mira. 

His end was too close...

But Cooper...

Little did he know about 'Shadow's' true intentions and plan. 

Shadow was right, convincing Cooper was a very easy job. His uncle had done a great work, his information was more than detailed and true.

He had tried three times to kill her after she had come back from Australia. 

The first time with the attack, the second time was at the forest that night when she was trying to block his fighters' way and the third was six days ago when she was alone in the forest. She was too tough for him, she was not an easy opponent, he was getting crazy from her strength and abilities.

And he decided to act smart the next time...

He wasn't going to chase her or attack her. 

He would kidnap her and then everything was going to be easy in order to take his full revenge from everyone...

His uncle and he had been waiting for years and now it was the right time to act and end this torture for once and for all...

"Mira and Jacob Adam's you will be dead after I kill everyone else in front of you..." he thought and smirked pleased.

"Soon..."

And hello for the second time for today!

This is the 16th chapter everyone and as you see... Weird things are happening with Mira being the main target and Cooper an easily manipulated man unaware of Shadow's true intentions!
