The Cruel Alpha's Mate!

Tensions...

"When we fight we are you and me opposite the problem and not you opposite me! Especially when the problem is an enemy..."

Mira's pov

"I still can't believe how someone can be so shameless! I want to kill him so much... Damn it!" Liam screams as we get inside our room.

We decided to give his room to Lucas and he to come and stay with the kids and me. We brought all his things here so... I think you can imagine that now I will have to deal with his fair frustration and madness and believe me I don't know how...

I close the door and lock it, I am glad that Ethan and Angel are not here with us or else we would have a big problem. Liam is still shaking and to be completely honest he is worse than before. Moira feels Phobos who is trying to take full control but as I see Liam is holding him with difficulty and his rage has reached its top.

"Mira talk! Don't let me speak alone like an i***t!" he yells and turns to look at me.

I sigh and shake my head as I walk to him. 

He is standing in front or the balcony's door and the sun is making his hair shine looking brighter than it is. He is still wearing only trousers and he has some small cuts from Cooper's nails. Fortunately he has no bites or else I would have killed Cooper in a second with my own hands.

"What do you want me to say in order to make you and Phobos calm down? You know that whatever I say I won't change your mind now that you are so mad!" I say as I reach him and place my hands gently on his bare chest.

"Yes, sure..." he speaks back angrily and sighs avoiding looking at me.

I roll my eyes and I force him to look at me with my one hand under his chin. I give him a small shy smile but he is not changing his angry expression at all... His eyes are black, his jaw is clenching, his chest is going up and down and I feel his heart beating fast like it is ready to explode.

"Liam Holder, can you try to calm down? You are not helping me like this! I am still a bit shocked and nervous and I can't feel better with you like this..." I say softly and move close to him to kiss him but he pulls back and takes my hands off of him.

"I am angry with you, you know... I told you to stay away from him and you even hugged him especially after the suspicions we have about him! Can you tell me how would you have reacted if I had done the same?" he shouts and I stiffen walking backwards with my hands on my ears as his voice this time was too loud and wild.

Shit!

I had seen it coming but I was trying to avoid it...

"Tell me!" he roars and turns to the wall and hits his fist with power.

"i***t man you will break your hand!" Moira roars taking full control over me in a second and grabs his hand as he is ready to hit it on the wall again.

"Moira step back!" Liam growls but in fact is Phobos that now has full control as well as Moira.

Shit!

"NOW!" he roars some seconds later when Moira doesn't move an inch.

"What are we going to do?" I ask her worried.

I don't want to take control when I see him like this, I feel horrible and I don't think I will be able to make it any better.

"Yes... You made the stupidity and now I have to calm him down and explain... Nice miss Mira." She replies frustrated and I stiffen awkwardly in my head.

She frees his hand and takes some steps back breathing harshly and then she sits on the bed and sighs.

"Moira, can you tell me what were you both thinking? Damn it!" he screams and punches the wall with both of his fists.

"Can you stop it because I am about to lose my patience and if we fight you know who is going to lose!?" she roars and stands up in an attack mode.

"Mira thought that he was sad because his mate rejected him. She hadn't thought about him lying. You should be happy that this happened because now we know for sure that he was the one behind the photos. He wouldn't have been so mad, he wouldn't have confessed it like that otherwise." She continues without leaving him time to speak.

"Do you think that she will ever take his side now? That I will believe him? Do you think that he can fool me and Mira? Do you think that we are so idiots?" she screams and begins walking up and down the room trying to breathe and stop shaking.

Oh, at least she said it...

She keeps on doing this for about a minute when Phobos takes some steps to us and stops and I perk my ears.

"Moira... I..."

"You what? Don't you both know what you mean for us? Do you have doubts?" she cuts him off and stops walking looking at him in the eyes.

"No, we were just jealous and worried about you..." He whispers and walks to us.

Moira takes some steps back to avoid him but she stops as she hits on the cold wall and he reaches and stops some inches away from us. He places his hands on the right and left side on the wall trapping us and leans closer while looking straight into our eyes.

"I don't know how you changed the condition like that but I am glad. You are the one that could think so clearly between us." I whisper with guilt and she smirking rolling her eyes.

"Really, you should accept to take some lessons from me, I know that they were jealous and worried but not trusting us is driving me crazy. We never gave them any right to think like that about us..." she replies and I nod.

"I am sorry mate... I didn't mean to upset you and Mira like that..." Phobos growls in a low tone and touches his forehead on ours.

"Tell your human to apology to my girl as well... He is not going to get away so easily, she is hurt. She was worried about you two!" she whispers and raises her hands to caress the smaller now cuts on his chest.

"Liam... He is sorry mate... He will..." he murmurs as he touches his lips on ours and starts kissing us softly at the beginning.

I purr relieved and Moira groans and responds quickly. The kiss turns wild with passion and I feel her ready to lose control and push it farther but I have other plans...

"Moira... We have to stop it, Liam has to say sorry..." I remind her and she nods in agreement.

"I give you full control. Do anything you want with him!" She says and steps back as I take one step forward and get in lead again.

I push gently Liam's body and break the kiss. He opens his eyes and raises his eyebrows surprised that it is me. 

It is still Phobos...

"Mira... I am sorry for before, you understand..." he growls and I nod frustrated.

"I know you mean it... You are forgiven already. You were always good to us, I can't stay mad at you, unlike someone else..." I say annoyed and he smirks knowing that I mean Liam in the end.

"I know, I am leaving you with your mate then... Take it easy..." he says and smiles as he closes his eyes.

I take a deep breath and move away from the wall and Liam heading to the bathroom, I need a bath and space. His behavior when he is getting angry is making me feel insecure, desperate and helpless. I can't deal with it anymore, I mean I was facing it for too many months back at the college and I can't accept it now. 

I won't let him hurt me again!

"Mira...I..." I listen to him whispering when I open the bathroom's door.

I turn slowly and look at him. 

His eyes are light blue again, he looks calmer and I think I can distinguish regret in his eyes but still... I just don't know what to do and say... I tried to enlighten his mood before but in vain, I made it worse, I feel terrible. I can't face this reaction every time he gets angry with something.

He doesn't even say sorry now...

I stay like this looking at him for some more seconds waiting for something but he does no move to come closer or talk. He just keeps on staring at me in the eyes with a blank expression that is driving me crazy. I sigh, shake my head ironically and I roll my eyes that are already wet trying not to cry. 

My heart is breaking...

Damn it Liam!

I turn and get in the bathroom like a flash banging the door behind me and start fighting with myself in order to take off my clothes. I feel so dirty and cheap, Moira was right, he doesn't trust me... He keeps on proving me that he does not trust me! 

First he wanted to come with me and deal with the rogues that we had in prison, then he wanted me to leave my pack and Alpha's title and become a good Luna locked in a house, thirdly he believes that I can't protect myself from that psycho, now this... 

Again... 

The third time that he is acting like this about Cooper!

Shit!

I throw the last type of fabric that is left on my body, my underwear in the basket for the dirty clothes and I get in the tab quickly. I turn on the hot water with shaking hands and get down of the water with my eyes closed facing the marbled dark wall.

"I think I can stay in here for the rest of my life..." I murmur under my breath and Moira groans nervously.

"Try to relax now! You are shaking again and your heartbeat has risen once more. Clear your mind and stop thinking because you are frustrating me too." She whispers with wary and I sigh defeated.

I stay like this for I don't know how much time. 

I don't wash my hair or body, I don't move or think. 

I am just following Moira's advice, my mind is blank, empty. I just breathe and listen to the water and my heartbeat.

Thankfully after some time I am much calmer and I don't feel like shaking anymore, my legs are not weak, my stomach is okay now because before was a mess and for some seconds I wanted to throw up.

I sigh and decide to begin washing myself when I feel two strong, hard hands getting wrapped around my waist. I know whose these hands are, the sparks are betraying him.

Liam...

I am not surprised I didn't realize that he got in the bathroom and I didn't smell or listen to him. I was too lost to use my senses and show interest.

"I am sorry... I love you more than anything and anyone. I know I am hurting you when I am getting so angry and I lose control. You are getting panicked and overwhelmed. I am truly sorry my love." He whispers and kisses my shoulder gently as our bare bodies touch each other's under the water.

I just can't realize what he just told me. 

I mean... He understands me?! 

Did he just admit that he is hurting me?

"Yes, so stop being so hard on him!" Moira growls impatiently in a strict tone.

"At least you understand it..." I murmur under my breath and she growls again warningly.

I try to move in his arms and turns to face him. He softens his hold and once I turn I open my eyes with some difficulty and look into his eyes. He has a broken expression, his eyes show pain, regret, wary, desperation...

"I am really sorry and I will try to change this! I can't feel you in pain because of me." He whispers with a voice that breaks in the end ready to start sobbing.

"I know. Can you please hold me now?" I ask him sniffling as I move closer to him and bury myself in his arms.

"I love you Mira." He murmurs as he tightens his hold around me and presses me on his body.

"I love you too Liam."

~at the same time~

James' pov

I am sitting on the couch trying to read some newspapers in my or better mine and Cassie's room. 

Once we came in our room I went straight in the bathroom to take a bath and when I got out she got to take hers. Don't blame me, she ordered me to go first, she was too angry to try to even say a word to her. I may know her for some weeks but believe me I already know how she reacts and how she feels so I have no other choice but to be patient with her.

Cassie is a very 'easy to get mad' woman once she gets to know and trust you enough and as I am her mate she feels completely comfortable now that we mated and marked each other. She stops at nothing once she wants or thinks something and right now I know that she is mad at Cooper. 

I have never seen her like that. She loves Mira so much and she acts so protectively over her that she saw red once she saw him and he tried to touch Mira. 

Well... Unfortunately she still sees red...

All I just have to do is try to be calm and not get frustrated now that she is not stable mentally and psychologically. We will talk after she calms down enough...

I turn back to the newspaper and continue reading. 

After some minutes the door opens and Cassie gets out dressed in casual jeans and a white crop top. I want to make a comment and tell her how pretty she is but I know that it is very possible to get into troubles so I decide to keep my mouth shut. She walks and sits on the small table inches opposite of me and crosses her hands on her chest staring at me angrily.

"James how on hell are you so calm after everything that has happened?" she shouts and raises her eyebrows.

"What will I earn if I get frustrated or mad baby? It is over now..." I say without looking at her pretending that I am reading.

"Really James? That maniac was about to attack me and Mira! He is the one that was sending all those photos to Mira... Who knows what else this bastard has done and what else he is planning and you are acting like we are perfectly fine?" she yells and stands up like a flash shaking from anger.

"Sweetheart, Liam and I stopped him, we gave him a small lesson, he also took a great lesson now that Mira and Liam marked each other, he confessed by mistake everything, we are all against him, even David doesn't believe him... He will scold him badly if he doesn't punish him or tell him to leave so... Try to relax." I say softly and give her a weak encouraging smile.

"James he is dangerous! The man is insane, he could hurt Mira!"

"But he didn't Cassie! He is going to get what he deserves. Try to calm down, we are all safe and sound except from Cooper. He is alone now!" I say and turn to my newspaper again.

"Stop ignoring me with this stupidity!" she screams, takes it from my hands and rips it into pieces with mania.

FUCK!

"Are you crazy woman?" I exclaim trying to act calmly while she throws the pieces on me.

"I am because you are making me like this! Stop ignoring me!" she screams.

"Am I? Really? I am ignoring you babe?! I am talking to you, what am I doing wrong?" I shout and stand up but she pushes me and I fall back on the couch again.

She is going to kill me!

"You are trying to get rid of me! You don't want to talk about it! Our friends may be in more danger! Have you ever thought about it?" she yells and her eyes turn black.

Great! All I want now is her wolf out of control...

"I am trying not to make you worse baby, I am avoiding this topic because you won't calm down like this and I am thinking about Liam and Mira and especially Ethan and Angel but getting panicked won't help. We are like brothers for them, we won't help if we overreact. Our role is to protect them, not make it worse! If we want to act smartly we have to pretend like everything is perfect and we are not suspicious of Cooper."

Once I end my words her eyes turn back to normal and her expression softens. I sign for her to sit on my lap and she quickly sits on my legs with her arms and legs wrapped around me. She smiles blushing and gives me a quick kiss on the lips and then buries her face in my neck.

"What a crazy woman you are?! Huh? I am being scared of my life..." I murmur giggling and kiss her shoulder as she chuckles.

"I am sorry... It is just that I am really worried... Mira and I had a talk before Cooper's appearance. James, she acts like she has a bad feeling, like she knows something and I am having a weird feeling as well. I am scared James... Something bad is getting closer and Mira is the target. That's why I am so angry, I feel desperate!" She whispers and pulls back to look at me.

She has tears on her eyes, her hands are shaking around my neck and she is ready to cry. 

My wolf growls frustrated but not only for Cassie... He is worried about Mira and Liam as well as we have a close connection with them, we are their Betas, we are like brothers, we can feel each other in a great lever and the more I think about it the more it seems to me that Cassie is right.

"We will never leave them alone baby. We will talk with the others and we will see what we can do! I will have Liam's back and you Mira's. Don't be like this now, we have to be clever. Okay?" I ask smiling softly and she nods.

"What would I do without you?" she asks blushing.

"Mm... I do not know baby but I know that I can't live without you even when you are too crazy sometimes and I am getting scared." I say laughing and she chuckles punching my arm playfully.

"I love you James! I am glad I found you again."

"I love you too crazy woman!"

~King's (David's) office~

Third person's pov

David was sitting on his big, black leathered chair behind his office with his hands on it and his fingers tapping nervously the cold, black wood under his skin. 

He was trying to keep his wolf in control as he didn't trust him at all. 

He knew that Cassie and Mira were telling the truth and he could understand Liam and James' reaction. He was already extremely pissed off with Cooper for his lack of responsibility and he wanted to dismiss him from his duties as a trainer of his fighters but his wolf told him to be patient and act smart.

Cooper and his Beta from the other side were standing opposite of their King with their heads facing the floor in complete silence.

Cooper's Beta knew that his Alpha was in big troubles and it was fair. He had left him alone without informing him and he had to deal with everything and everyone on his own. He even called him all of the sudden to fight against Liam's Beta without having informed him first that he was coming back. He wasn't agreeing with him, he was mad but Copper was his Alpha and his duty was to stand next to him under any condition, he couldn't do otherwise...

Cooper from the other hand was way too calm and there was a very good reason about it...

Mira...

The only thing that he was thinking of in order to play his role correctly was that woman! The woman he wanted for years from the first time he had seen her and the woman he had lost so many times because of Liam Holder.

But all those were going to stay in the past... 

Soon Mira would be his and he would have the perfect opportunity to kill Liam with 'Shadow'.

"Where have you been all these days?" David asked him suddenly and he lifted his head up to speak.

"I took a scent in the forest the day I left. I had gone for a run and I followed the scent... I realized it was my mate and I... She asked from me to follow her... She is a rogue and lives in a neutral land alone... She rejected me..." he said and paused nervously.

David growled and his wolf began murmuring angrily something but David stopped him and turned his interest again to Cooper.

"Did she reject you immediately?"

"Now... After two days... I was trying to get to know her better, a mate is a mate, you can't just leave it like this but she was unwilling to try and she said that she wanted to stay alone. I tried to change her mind but she was listening to nothing. After she rejected me I left to stay alone for some days, I needed time. I am sorry, I really am! I didn't think about informing you, I didn't have time..." Cooper murmured with a defeated expression.

"And what about the incident that happened some time ago? What about what Cassie and Mira said?" the Kind asked him shortly running out of patience.

"My King, I have to be honest with you... I was always in love with Mira but I was hiding it! Then she disappeared and I lost her and now that I found her again I saw her with Liam. I tried to understant what is happening between them, I want her happy but it is still difficult for me."

"Are you kidding me? You were sad about your mate's rejection and now you almost tell me that you still want her?" David screamed and stood up getting sure that Cooper was just lying like Cassie and Mira had told him before.

"These days were enough for me to realize that everything happens for a reason. I mean, my mate rejected me but I was still thinking of Mira, I have true feelings fot her and I got mad when I saw that she was marked from Liam. I want her happy, I won't cause them any problem, I won't disappoint you, I will stay away from Mira. If staying with Liam makes her happy then... Then I am stepping back, I am really sorry." Cooper replied quickly and David groaned annoyed.

He turned and looked at his Beta and raised his eyebrows impatiently.

"You are free to go and wait for your Alpha out! I have some things to say to him." He said in a harsh tone.

"Yes my King." He replied immediately and bowed.

He took some steps back and after he gave one last quick look at his Alpha he got out and closed the door leaving Cooper and their King completely alone. David sat again and crossed his arms in from of his chest trying to think what he should do.

"Keep him close... We need to know what he is up to! Liam was right for not liking him. He is hiding something and it is obvious." His wolf said and came one step in front revealing himself from the darkness.

His big, dark green eyes were shining from anger and he was showing his teeth growling in a low deep tone that was making David understand how much his wolf hated Cooper.

"I think you are right... He is lying, I can feel it but I don't understand why he is acting like this. He had never acted so stupidly..." David said confused.

"It doesn't matter now. We will have time to find out what is happening."

David nodded, cleared his throat and lifted his head up to look Cooper.

He knew what he had to do...

"I am forgiving you this time but be careful! Act like an Alpha and not like an i***t spoiled man. Stay away from Liam, Mira, their kids and Betas because the next time I will be the one with whom you will fight and in the end you will end up dead! Am I clear?" he said in his strong, clear deep voice and Cooper nodded immediately and bowed.

"Yes my King. Thank you for your understanding and generosity!"

"Dismissed!" The King ordered shortly.

Cooper bowed again and got out of the room leaving David alone and rushed to his room, he had lots of things to do...

David sighed worried and stood up nervously as his wolf was still growling giving him a headache. He was thinking so many things and he was afraid about his choice to allow Copper stay at the palace after what had just happened.

"Call the elders, they have to know what we decided in order to have their eyes open and help us with Cooper! The more people we have looking at him the better." His wolf said and he nodded.

"I hope it ends well because if anything happens it will be our fault that allowed him to stay here so close to us... And... I hope that the other two have found what we need... I don't trust the other man either but we have to be discreet if we want to know the truth... "

At the meantime Cooper got in his room and walked quickly to his bedside table. He opened the drawer and pulled out a secret phone he had always with him in case he would need anything and he was right... 

This phone was now saving him! 

He quickly opened it, created the number he had learnt and smirked as he began writing the message: "Everything is going according to the plan... In two days we start."

He then turned off the phone and headed to the bathroom to take a hot bath.

"Idiots... If you only knew about me, you would have treated me differently... You all believe that I am weak and a bad actor... No one believed me, you know that I am lying but still you let me stay close to you and this will be Holder's end... Like Lucy's..." he said inside himself and smirked.

"Lucy, Lucy... I killed you so quickly five years ago when I first saw you at the college... It was so easy to trick you and kill you with only one nip... I was a great liar, wasn't I? I should be sorry but nah... I would never leave Mira for anyone even if..." he paused and laughed as he stood naked in the bathroom in front of the mirror staring his marks from Liam's wolf's nails.

"... This one was my true mate..."

You asked for it so the 18th is here and...

Fights, anger, suspicions, revealings and lots of hatred and plans are back!
