Third person's pov

Mira opened her eyes the moment the cell's door opened making noise and lifted her head up. 

The woman that was sharing the cell with her and Cassie got in with a tray in her hands and the door got locked again from a guard.

The woman was so pale and skinny with so dirty clothes and so many marks, cuts and bruises that made her heart hurt. She couldn't see her face at all because it was always bended and the quite dark cell wasn't helping her but from what she could see the woman should be around her 40s or a bit more. Her scent was also strange, a mix of wolfbane but she was still smelling like a werewolf and that was making Mira too curious and confused.

Mira turned her head and looked at Cassie who was also staring at the woman in sympathy and Cassie feeling her eyes on her turned and met her gaze nodding like she knew that Mira was feeling sympathy for that woman also.

"I can't imagine what she had lived in here..." Cassie whispered through their link.

"And for how long." Mira added shortly.

"Today you are staying locked in here, there is no work for you to do." The guard from outside shouted to the woman who turned and shook her head in understanding.

He was staring at her from the small, tall window at the door and Mira with Cassie bended their heads trying not to growl again from anger. Some seconds passed in silence until the guard finally turned and left with his footsteps echoing as he was walking out of the dungeon's corridor leaving his Alpha's victims completely alone without supervision.

"He left..." Cassie whispered and lifted her head up again sighing relieved.

"For now." The woman replied and turned to them.

"Does it hurt?" she asked some seconds later shaking her head and pointing Mira who was heavily yet tightly chained.

Mira blinked her eyes surprised and shook her head confused speechless. She was feeling something weird growing inside her seeing the woman's wary for her condition. She didn't have Moira to ask her what that could mean but she was sure that the woman that was standing shaking next to her was special. She was already feeling something pulling her to that woman and that was too rare to happen.

"Mira?" Cassie asked worried watching her being too silent.

"Oh, sorry. I am fine, it hurts a bit. Thank you for your interest." Mira said quickly and the woman took some steps to them and then stopped nervously.

"I...I brought you your food. Which one of you do I feed first?" the woman asked trembling turning from Mira to Cassie and again to Mira waiting for their answer.

"My Alpha." Cassie replied almost immediately.

"No, I am not hungry. I am not eating. You can feed Cassie and share my food with her." Mira stated and Cassie opened her eyes widely surprised.

"Mira, eat! You need it! You..."

"I am fine Cassie, really. Do not worry about me." Mira cut her off immediately.

"Have you lost your mind? Don't you want to get out of here and go back to your kids and Liam? They need you, cut the bullshit!" Cassie almost shouted making Mira growl annoyed.

"Beta do for once what I am telling you and close your mouth! Why did you come with me? You could have informed the others, you could have followed that psycho and nothing of these would have happened!" Mira said in her alpha tone harshly.

"Are you f*****g crazy? You are my sister, I wanted to help you. I am with you my whole life, I can't live without you. This is how you thank me?" Cassie yelled hurt ready to cry.

"I am sorry Cas, okay? But I told you nothing because I didn't want to put your life in danger. You have a life with James and you threw it away!"

"But you kicked away your life with Liam and your kids also." Cassie protested in frustration.

"But that asshole threatened me!" Mira screamed and both the two young women stopped talking completely breathless.

The woman that was standing some steps away from them with her head bended opened her eyes widely the moment she heard that Mira had kids and left some tears fall from her eyes emotional. Her wolf began howling in frustration trying to tell her something but she was in too much tension to even care.

The woman in front of her was a young mother with kids and a mate loving her and from what she had heard she was also an Alpha. She didn't know for what Shadow was blaming her but she was feeling warmth for that young woman and the other one next to her. They seemed kind and descent...

That woman couldn't have done anything bad to anyone...

"Do you have kids?" she managed to ask Mira trembling and shivering even more than before still with the tray of food in her hands.

"Yes, there are twins..." Mira replied and her expression softened with her heart melting as their images popped in her mind.

"Kids are the biggest blessing... Which are their names?"

"Angel and Ethan. They are five years old." Mira responded and began crying uncontrollably.

The woman took a step back and sighed in desperation. Those kids needed their mother... They were too young, not like... Him...

But again, they needed her.

"Are they with their father now?" She asked again.

"Yes, they have him now, fortunately." Mira said trying to stop crying but it became worse as she soon began sobbing.

"Mira... You are killing me as well like this." Cassie murmured joining her as she began crying slightly.

"What are they going to think? Huh? That I left them and runaway, that I don't love them or their father... I won't see them growing up, I won't see them laughing again, I won't keep them in my arms, I won't sleep with them hugging me, I won't take their scents again... And Liam? He is heartbroken like James, we found them to lose them again. And..." Mira said through her sobs and stopped unable to breathe gasping for air.

The woman bended immediately and placed the tray with the food on the cold, dusty floor and then took some steps to Mira stopping some inches away from her. She lifted a bit her head and Mira opened her closed eyes and smiled slightly at her warmly.

"Do it!" her wolf howled encouragingly knowing what she wanted to do.

She raised her hand timidly yet slowly and touched Mira's cheek making her laugh slightly. Mira felt a connection with her, she loved immediately her warm, soft, gentle touch and felt quite relieved. That touch was like a breath for her, she felt a pull to that woman and she couldn't explain or understand why.

"I am so sorry... I really am." The woman whispered while caressing Mira's cheek.

"Thank you. It means a lot." Mira replied and Cassie nodded smiling much calmer than before.

"Can we ask you some things about that psycho?" Mira asked realizing that it was a good chance to learn about the man that was keeping them now that no one was guarding them.

"I do not know his real name either. I have seen his face some times but not that clearly... I am not allowed to look at him or lift my head when I am in the same room with him. He has too dark brown hair and he is young. I met him for the first time when he was about 10 years old. HE... Brought him here..." she replied and began shaking again.

"Who? Who brought him here?" Mira asked confused and impatient.

"HE..." she replied again and began crying panicked leaving Mira and Cassie speechless.

"It's okay. Calm down! If you don't want to tell me his name then don't. Just calm down. Can you tell me how many years are you here? Who did this to you?" Mira asked again in hurry.

"I do not know how long I am here... Years, lots of years. HE... He did this to me, he betrayed me, he... How could I be so fool?" she said gasping for air terrifying Mira and Cassie who were observing her breathless.

"Shh... It is alright! Don't pressure yourself. Take some deep breaths and try to calm down..." Mira whispered and smiled at her encouragingly.

The woman nodded timidly and tried to breathe as she had been told with her wolf purring relieved.

"They are very kind and caring... They are different." Her wolf told her touched and she signed in agreement.

"Thank you! You are the first that treat me like this." The woman whispered some seconds later after her breath came back to normal and gradually stopped shaking.

"It's the least we can do in this condition..." Cassie replied smiling melancholically.

"Let me feed you now. You must be hungry and you need strength." The woman stated immediately and turned to take the tray and feed Cassie.

"Did you understand any of what she said? I am too confused." Mira asked Cassie worried.

"The only thing I understood is that we have two psychos to deal with... One was not enough and... I really want to be wrong but this woman might be a bit crazy. She seems lost."

Mira shook her head in frustration watching the woman walking to Cassie in order to feed her. Something was telling her that Cassie was right at the first point, there were two men behind everything but she knew only one. Maybe Cooper was the second one but he couldn't be the one that met Shadow to the woman, Cooper was too young for it, one year older than her, it wasn't logical. And the woman was too old to have any kind of relationship with Cooper to say that he betrayed her.

And from the other side she couldn't agree with Cassie about the woman. She didn't seem to be crazy like she had said. She was just too scared, terrified and frustrated to tell them everything they wanted. She was surely still in pain about that man's betrayal and she was too broken. She was suffering for years and she seemed to have lived many things so it was logical to act like that. She was scared and that was breaking Mira's heart into pieces.

She kept observing the woman that was now feeding Cassie and smiled weakly trying not to think the condition they were. She tried not to think about Liam and her family's condition or Ethan and Angel that would have been surely asking for her, she also tried not to think about the fact that she wasn't feeling threat next to Shadow and most importantly about the warmth she felt when he touched her the previous day.

She did her best to push away these thoughts because the pain was unbearable and her body was too sore as she had been chained on the walls for over 24 hours and she was surely bruised at the places when the chains were pressuring her. She didn't know how much she was going to hold on under those conditions without Moira and she was even more worried about Cassie because she was always more fragile, more sensitive, more impatient and she wouldn't be able to stay calm for too long.

"Thank you very much... Um, your name?" Cassie asked the woman bringing Mira back to reality.

"I have no name anymore... I am not allowed to say it to anyone. It is for your own safety as well as mine..." the woman replied nervously and Cassie turned and looked at Mira in a meaningful way.

"I told you..." she told her through their link and Mira groaned annoyed.

"Didn't you try to get away?" Mira asked her some seconds later and the woman shook her head positively.

"Lots of times but I was too weak to go that far. They were always finding and bringing me back. The tortures were too rough as punishment... But..."

The woman paused as she remembered what her wolf had told her some days before and opened her eyes widely in realization. She had told her that she had had a good feeling and they would find the help they needed soon and she was eventually right. Those girls seemed to be a gift from the Goddess, they were strong, Mira had already scattered fear to lots of men and even Shadow. She was too strong as she had heard and she really liked her so she could...

"Yes! You know what we have to do! This is it! We can do it! We know everything we have to do." Her wolf encouraged her excited for the first time after lots of years and shook her tail in joy.

She nodded to herself and took a deep breath taking the decision to make the big step. 

She had to make it!

She lifted a bit more her head and looked at Cassie and then Mira more determinate that ever in her life, it was time...

"I am going to help you get free. I have a plan!" She stated in a low, steady, strong tone that made Cassie let out a surprised scream and Mira sighed while smiling at the same time.

"Really?" she asked breathless with her eyes shining from hope.

"Yes, I know everything that is happening here. I know the entire house and dungeons. I can do something that will help you get free or I can even try to steal the keys from your chains but I think that you won't need it anyway... I know that you are stronger than the usual, they are all discussing about it, they are all afraid of you." She said looking at Mira.

"But how? I mean, I don't think I understand what you are going to do." Cassie murmured confused.

"The dungeons are full of young she-wolves... And, I can't say many things, we have to be careful and patient. All I want you to do is to act like you are in great pain every time they inject you with wolfsbane and keep your wolves under control when you get angry." She whispered in a low tone and Mira opened her eyes widely in excitement.

She turned and looked at Cassie who was even more enthusiastic and was doing her best in order not to scream.

"Mira, we have still hope!" she exclaimed in a low tone and Mira nodded with tears blurring her vision.

"Your wolves will be soon here with us..." the woman whispered and caressed Mira's cheek.

"Everything is going to be alright my child, this time..."

"You are our angel!"

~at the same time at the top floor of that pack house~

Shadow's pov

"Uncle they are both heavily chained. Adams is a really big trouble, bigger than you had told me! She is unstoppable, she even dared to kick me while she was chained on the wall. I am really worried, she is a living bomb in my hands, the men are afraid of her!" I say through my teeth and tighten my hold around my phone ready to break it.

"I knew that she was tough but not that much son. I am sorry to hear that, I hope you are good now."

"It's not about the kick uncle. I have a bad feeling about it. What if she manages to get unchained?"

"Don't you inject her with wolfsbane? Without her wolf she is not that strong..." he states thoughtfully and I sigh in desperation.

"The men injected her again, they do it every night but something feels wrong. Are you sure that it's her fault? Her mother's and that i***t's?" I ask him once more.

"Trevor what is wrong with you? We have talked about it so many times. You know the whole story! What is happening to you?"

I can distinguish the wary in his voice and this is really breaking my heart because this man is everything to me, he is like a father for me, he did everything for me and my behavior seems that I am ungrateful to him but I do not know what is happening to me. I can't understand why I feel this way. I do not know why it feels wrong hurting her, I mean she is my enemy but it feels not right anymore.

"Trevor? What is wrong?" he asks me again and I sigh confused not knowing what to answer and don't get him sad again.

"Nothing uncle. I am just a bit upset, that's all! I want everything to be perfect and I am worried about everything with no important reason..." I murmur and continue.

"How are the things going there? How are they?"

"Well... This is quite interesting... Her mate is getting crazy, he is trying not to seem upset in front of their kids but I see how difficult it is for him. It won't be difficult for me to fool him for good, he is a mess. And about the others, well... Jacob Adams is desperate with that b***h, Zoey. They are crying all the time, their nerves are broken and April with Ryan are trying to stand by their side and help but they both push everyone away. They have also informed every pack about what is happening. We have to be extremely careful, also... The asshole 'king' saw the cameras with their mates and saw the time they left the palace but of course Cooper is nowhere. They still have him being followed by guards all the time so we are perfect. Everything is going according to the plan. You don't have to worry, okay?"

"Yeah... I am glad uncle. So, if anything else happens just tell me. Uh, what about any trails? Did they manage to take any smell?" I ask in hurry.

"No, you burned the area perfectly. They all got crazy when they saw it. They are desperately trying to catch any scent but now it is not possible so you continue like we have told. Now, I have to go, okay?"

"Yes uncle. Call me whenever you can. Take care."

I hang up the phone immediately without waiting for his reply and throw it on the desk with power. I am tired of it, it is wrong! My wolf was right and I realized it yesterday when I touched Adams for the first time.

"I told you. I did but you never listened!" He growls annoyed through his teeth and I shake my head in desperation.

"What is going on with her? She is not our mate, we are both sure about it but the feeling is too strong." I murmur confused.

"I do not know. It's like I need to protect her. When you touched her yesterday I felt warmth, like I know her and I have a bond with her."

"I know! I was so angry when I saw her but when I touched her I forgot about everything. But when she kicked me she... What a dangerous woman! She felt nothing, I am sure! We can be wrong, I mean..." I pause not knowing what to say and roll my eyes.

"Maybe if you stop injecting her and her wolf wakes up I can communicate with her and figure out what is happening..."

"i***t asshole! I knew you wanted to surely defend her and help her get away! You are in love with her!" I roar and jump up hitting my fists on the desk and breaking it into pieces.

"Stop being an i***t! You know I am right this time. It is the only way we have!" He screams but I block him immediately and start screaming and cursing.

I can't believe him! I really can't! 

I lost my mother because of her, I know that she is the main reason about everything that has happened and he is trying to convince me that there is something between us.

My uncle was right, she is evil but hides it perfectly! 

She seems innocent, sweet, kind but she is a b***h and her actions are still proving it. I have to stay strong and keep in mind that she is a great actor. I have to stop being close to her, stop seeing her, thinking her, I have to focus on my revenge. She is going to be dead soon and her puppy eyes won't stop me. I worked so hard with my uncle to make it and I won't allow her  destroy everything.

I need to punish her for my mother and the pain that caused to my uncle and me. I grew up without her, I never even met her, she is responsible for everything!

"Mira Adams, you are not going to fool me. You are dead!"
