Chapter Thirteen

"L-Lorden... Aahhh!"

Agad na 'kong t-in-ext ni Lorden matapos ang klase ko, saktong sakto pa.

Lorden: Hi, Kate. I'm here in front of your school. I miss you already.

Napangiti naman ako at agad na nagreply.

I just giggled and immediately put my phone in my bag. Inayos ko na rin agad ang mga gamit ko dahil excited na akong makita si Lorden.

"Kate, kumusta na 'yung masungit mong Tito–este boyfriend?"

Natigilan ako nang bigla akong tanungin no'n ni Milan bago pa ako makalabas ng classroom. Almost everyone in the class looked at me. 'Yung iba ay naglapitan pa para makiusyoso.

"Hala, may boyfriend ka na pala, Kate?"

"Malulungkot 'yung mga nagkakacrush sa'yo rito."

"Pakilala mo naman sa'min 'yung boyfriend mo."

Nahihiyang napakamot na lang ako sa batok ko. Hindi ko alam kung magandang ideya na ipakilala ko si Lorden sa kanila. Lorden can be bad-tempered and irritable. Mabait naman si Lorden... kaso sa akin lang.

Pero hindi ko rin naman sila matanggihan.

"S-sige. Kung okay lang sa boyfriend ko, ipapakilala ko siya sa inyo," sabi ko na lang saka ngumiti sa kanila.

"Pero bakit akala ni Milan, tito mo raw? Matanda na ba?" biglang tanong ng kaklase ko rin na si Roger.

"Uhm, not really... He's older than me, pero hindi naman sobrang tanda," I muttered and smiled awkwardly.

"Sus, baka pogi pa kami ro'n, ha."

"Baka sugar daddy?!" sabi ni Lucille.

"Hala, oo nga. Nakita ko kanina, naka-kotse pa si Kate. Sugar daddy nga yata?"

"Okay lang 'yan, Kate. We won't judge you naman. Nasa right age ka naman. Saka as long as hindi ka naman kabit or something, okay lang 'yon."

Napakamot na lang ako sa batok ko dahil kung saan-saan na yata napunta ang imagination nila.

Napabuga na lang ako ng hangin dahil tila wala silang naririnig at hinila pa ako palabas. Mukhang gusto talaga nilang makita si Lorden.

Paglabas namin, natanaw ko kaagad ang kotse ni Lorden. He was leaning on his car while looking at his watch. Natigilan pa ako at hindi napigilang i-appreciate ang kagwapuhan niya kahit sa malayo.

He was just wearing a plain white fitted shirt and pants. The tattoos in his arms were visible. He looked at my direction and smiled when he saw me. He even waved his hand at me.

"Hala? Siya 'yung boyfriend mo, Kate?" biglang tanong ni Lucille.

Ngumiti na lang ako sa kanila at tumango.

"Saan ka nakahanap ng ganiyan ka-gwapong boyfriend?!" Impit na tumili si Madi.

Natawa naman ako. "Ritwal ritwal lang," pagbibiro ko na lang.

"Ritwal reveal naman, beh!"

"Akala ko ba matanda, Milan?! Hindi naman sugar daddy 'yan, e! Hot daddy 'yan!" asik ni Lucille saka hinampas si Milan.

Napailing na lang ako at halos patakbong lumapit kay Lorden. He welcomed me with a warm embrace and kissed my forehead.

"Hi, love. I missed you all day... How's your day?" he asked in a soft tone and caressed my arm.

"Okay lang naman. Namiss din kita nang sobra," sabi ko saka yumakap nang mahigpit sa kaniya kahit ilang oras lang naman kaming hindi nagkita.

Napatingin na lang ako sa mga kaklase ko. Biglang nag-init ang pisngi ko dahil titig na titig sila kay Lorden. Parang gusto ko na lang tuloy itago si Lorden sa kanila.

"Uhm... ito nga 'yung boyfriend ko... si Lorden," sabi ko na lang.

"H-hi, Daddy Lorden—este Lorden, hehe," sabi ni Lucille saka kumaway.

Napakunot ang noo ni Lorden. Tumingin na lang ako sa kaniya saka hinaplos ang braso niya. "Lorden, mga kaklase ko sila. Gusto raw kasi nilang makilala 'yung boyfriend ko."

Napatingin sa akin si Lorden. He just smiled and nodded at me. He looked at my classmates again and gave them a small smile. "Hi, I'm Lorden, Kate's boyfriend... It's nice to meet you all... Please take care of my girlfriend," sabi niya saka umakbay sa akin at marahang pinisil ang balikat ko.

"Siyempre naman! Pati ikaw iingatan namin," banat ni Madi. Siniko naman siya ng isa ko pang kaklase.

Pinaningkitan ko siya ng mga mata... Aba.

"Joke lang!" dugtong niya agad.

Bigla namang sumingit si Milan saka hinarap si Lorden. "Hello, pare. Sorry nga pala sa nangyari sa mall noong nakaraan. Akala ko talaga tito ka ni Kate or something. I didn't mean to offend you."

Napakunot nang bahagya ang noo ni Lorden. "What do you mean?" tanong pa niya.

Napanguso ako... Oo nga pala, nangyari iyon noong hindi pa siya nakakaalala.

"Oh..." Napahawak si Milan sa batok niya. "Nakalimutan mo na yata... pero okay na tayo, pare, ha. Happy ako para sa inyo ni Kate," sabi na lang nito.

Tumango na lang si Lorden, ni hindi niya nginitian si Milan. Napangiwi na lang si Milan at lumayo na rin agad kay Lorden.

Pagkatapos no'n, umuwi na rin agad kami.

"Hey, love... Why are you pouting like that?" Agad na yumakap si Lorden sa baywang ko nang makauwi na kami.

"Dapat hindi na kita pinakilala sa mga kaklase ko. Kilig na kilig pa sila sa'yo. Tapos crush ka nila sigurado," nakangusong sabi ko.

Marahang humalakhak si Lorden saka humalik sa noo ko. "Ikaw lang naman ang crush ko, Kate."

Napakagat na lang ako sa loob ng pisngi ko para magpigil ng ngiti. "Sabi mo pa dati, childish lang 'yung crush."

Lorden chuckled and kissed the side of my eye. "I was just too prideful that time."

Nagyakapan na lang ulit kami. Hindi maalis ang ngiti sa labi ko. "Lorden... Mahal na mahal kita."

Mas lalo akong ikinulong ni Lorden sa mga bisig niya. "I love you more, Kate... You're my everything."
