Chapter Two: Isaac

Jasmine's POV 

It was dark and the only thing I could feel was helpless. I couldn't move but just stood there staring into plain darkness. I look behind me feeling a presence close to my body but I didn't see anything. 

I looked forward seeing him. He had a nice tone body and dark brown hair with beautiful brown eyes, he had a smirk placed on his lips looking at me up and down. I don't know who he is but I've seen before and every time I was about to ask him I would wake up but this time was different. 

"Who are you?" I tried saying showing no fear. He just looked at me and the smirk disappeared turning into a frown. "Jasmine I need you to understand who we are." He spoke. "We?" I asked confused. He looked down then looked up at me. His eyes were a different color, they were almost gold making the expression on his face send chills through my spine. Evil. 

"Get away from me!" I yelled and the feeling came back were I was helpless and couldn't move again. I closed my eyes shut hoping he would go away. "I'm not going to hurt you." He whispered in my ear. I felt relaxed when I heard his comforting voice. I opened my eyes and saw nothing but only darkness filling the room. 

I woke up with the car jerking me forward banging my head on the dashboard realizing Lexi just slammed on the brakes. "What the hell Lexi?" I shouted but I'm sure she didn't hear me from all of her obnoxious laughing. "Oh god that was hilarious and don't blame me I've been trying to wake you up for half an hour." She calmed down after her laughing episode. 

"Well what is it?" I yawned out. " uh we're almost there to our new apartment!" She screamed excitingly. "Lexi take it down a notch I literally just woke up." I moaned.

"Well sorry but we have an apartment! And I can't help that I am so excited!" She smiled pushing down on the peddle as we flew down the street.

"Yeah officer I just moved down here you see I met my roomy yesterday and she's  a little quiet haven't got a word out of her yet I'm so sorry I didn't see the speed limit signs anywhere" Lexi spoke to the police officer as she got pulled over for going 20 miles over the speed limit. Her voice came out flirty and she batted her eyelashes. "Be more alert next time I'll let you off with a warning this time" he sighed and Lexi's lips curved in a smirked slightly before she smiled. 

"Thank you so much officer, people here are so nice" she smiled putting her hand on his that was resting on her door. She smirked as he walked away and pulled off back towards our apartment. "Your horrible." I laughed as we flew down the street.

We arrived at our apartment looking at the three bedrooms side by side. The first was mine having my own bathroom and directly next to Isaac's. Isaac was our other best friend well he's a little more to Lexi. Most would call them friends with benefits but I call them the reasons I won't be getting any sleep for the rest of college. 

Isaac's and Lexi's room sit next to each other having one bathroom that connected their rooms. "Do you and Isaac really need to have a connected bathroom?" I asked and Lexi smirked. 

"Yep when is he supposed to get here anyways?" Lexi asked I shrugged. "He said after work and his shift ends at five. Maybe 7" I spoke and she nodded. 

"Sweet well we'll go shopping in the morning" Lexi spoke setting down her keys. "We could go now it's only two" I offered setting my suitcase next to my bedroom door. "And listen to Isaac complain about how we forgot his favorite snacks no way I'm going through that again" she shook her head and I laughed remembering our camping trip where we forgot to bring his jolly ranchers. 

"Good point well I'ma go unpack" I told her and she nodded saying she'd do the same and we headed to our rooms.

Lexi and I sat on the couch watching TV until Isaac got here. "It's 8 where is he?" Lexi groaned moving her position on the couch and I laughed. "Why missing your boyfriend?" I teased and she groaned. "Not my boyfriend but yes". 

"I don't understand that. He's had a crush on you forever and you obviously like him so why don't you two date already?" I asked and she sighed. "It's complicated it just won't work" 

Before I could answer the lights in our apartment went off followed by the TV. "What the hell?" I spoke trying to turn the TV back on. "Maybe it's a blackout- what why won't my phone turn on!" Lexi groaned and I tried mine getting the same results. 

Lexi dugged in one of the moving boxes until she pulled out a flashlight. She turned it on holding it up so we could see each other. "What's going on" I asked and Lexi shrugged. 

A chill ran up my spine as my bedroom door slowly creaked open. Lexi looked at me wide eyed and I gasped as her door did the same. We watched in horror as Isaac's door followed and I could feel someone other than Lexi looking at me. 

"Hello?" I called standing closer to Lexi. Getting no response we sat there in silence listening to the quiet room except for the quiet footprints getting closer to us. 

Before we could turn a voice came from right behind us. "BOO!" Me and Lexi screamed and I watched Lexi turn and punch Isaac in the stomach. "God Dammit Lexi" he groaned as the lights flickered back on. 

"What the hell Isaac" I screamed mad at myself for not knowing it was him. Pranking Lexi and I was his favorite thing to do last year he dyed my eyebrows sliver when I was asleep. 

"Priceless" he laughed and Lexi glared at him. "Aw come on princess don't be mad me" he pleaded kissing Lexi's cheek. "I hate you" she groaned but a small smile took over her lips. "You two disgust me. I'm going to bed before you jump each other's bones. Night" I laughed getting a 'night' from both of them and headed off to bed.

I looked at my two best friends as we danced in the kitchen while putting the food away. Nothing can ruin this. At least that's what I thought.
