Cody
Jasmine was having a ball and completely wasted. She was currently dancing on the table, all eyes on her. I didn’t particularly appreciate how some of the guys were looking at her. They were practically drooling. I was an asshole, yes, but some of the other guys were worse than me. By that I mean, they would happily take advantage of someone that was wasted. That is a line that not even I would not cross. I see Jasmine stumbling, and a couple of the guys were about to grab her, but that wasn’t going to happen.
I barged by them, grabbing Jasmine and throwing her over my shoulder. I think she has had enough.
“Cody, out me down, right now!” She said, battering on my back.
I ignored her and took her away from everyone else. I looked around for someone who wasn’t drinking.
“Dane, could you give us a ride home, please?” I asked.
Dane was one of those guys that just got on with everyone. He didn’t drink, but he was a stoner for sure, but he looked fine tonight.
“Sure, buddy,” He smiled.
“You haven’t had too much to smoke, have you?” I asked.
“No, come on, let’s get her drunken ass home,” Dane laughed.
“I am not going home, put me down,” Jasmine said.
“Yes, you are, so hush,” I said, swatting her thigh.
“I can walk,” She hissed.
I ignored her, letting her continue to hit me. She did calm down after a moment, and we headed out.
“Nice ass, Cody,” She giggled, slapping it.
She changed her tone quickly. I wasn’t surprised, though. Jasmine can’t stay mad at anyone when she is drunk.
“Thanks, sweetness,” I laughed.
“I still hate you though,” She laughed, biting on my shoulder.
I chuckled and shook my head. Dane and I got her to the car. I sat in the back with her, and she moved to rest her head on my lap.
“Dizzy, feel sick,” She whined, “Why did you let me drink so much, Cody,” She added.
Yes, blame it on me. I had nothing to do with it. Dane looked behind at us, laughing, and I did the same.
“Yes, I am sorry that you drink too much,” I said.
“Hmm, too much,” She slurred, “Sleepy now,” She added.
Jasmine soon fell asleep. I sighed, looking down at her. I wish she didn’t get herself so drunk, but that was her choice. I am the last one to be judging anyone for anything. Dane and I chatted, as Jasmine snored slightly.
“Do you want a hand in with her?” Dane asked.
We pulled up outside the house, and luckily it was in darkness. Yes, Jasmine’s parents knew she was at a party, but I don’t think they would like seeing her like this.
“No, I got her, thank you for the lift, buddy,” I smiled.
I moved her head from my lap, getting out of the car, and scooped her into my arms. Jasmine snuggled into me, wrapping her arms around my neck. I grabbed the key that her parents gave me if no one is in when I get home. I held onto her tightly and let us in.
I stayed as quiet as I could, carrying her to her bedroom, and laying her down on the bed. I slipped her shoes and her coat off. She barely even flinched when I did. I headed back downstairs, grabbing her some water, and painkillers because she will need them in the morning.
“When did we get back?” She said as I entered the room.
She has woken up and was looking confused.
“Only a moment ago,” I laughed.
“OK. Will you help me get into my pjs, my head is spinning,” She said.
I nodded, making my way to the bed, and sitting the things down.
“No peeking though, Mr,” She said firmly.
“I need to keep my eyes open to see what I am doing,” I laughed.
“Fine, fine,” She said, rolling her eyes.
I helped her get her clothes off, kept her underwear on, and slipped her PJS on for her. She smiled brightly at me before getting back into her bed and pulling the covers up.
“Goodnight, Jasmine,” I said.
I went to walk away but stopped when she said my name. I stopped, turning to face her.
“Yeah?” I asked.
“I don’t feel good, will you lay with me?” She asked, “And tickle my back, the way you used too?” She added.
There was a sadness in her tone when she said the last part. I wanted to tell her no because she will end up freaking out at me when she was sober.
“Please?” She said, batting her lashes.
I let out another sigh and nodded. I will end up regretting this. Jasmine gave me her best smile. I slipped my shoes and jacket off and lay down next to her. I know tomorrow everything will be back too ordinary, and she probably will not even remember any of this.
Jasmine moved close to me, resting her head on my arm. I slid my free hand over her hip and onto her back. I gently stroked her back through her tee, but she pushed her top up so that my fingers were caressing the skin. I was feeling a little awkward. I had not done this in a long time.
Jasmine used to make me do it all the time. It helped her get to sleep or relaxed her if she was stressed. It was her back on her hair. It depends on how she was feeling.
“Thank you,” She said tiredly.
It didn’t take long until she started drifting off.
“I wish you didn’t change Cody, I miss you,” She said.
I didn’t respond at first because sleep took over and she had crashed out again.
“I miss me too, and you,” I whispered, kissing the top of her head.
I wish I could go back to that guy. The nice guy that would do anything for anyone. The guy that Jasmine trusted and loved, but I was in too deep. I have messed up way too many times to come back from it all. I have learnt to accept that. I was who I was.
I thought because she was sleeping, I could move. I was wrong. The moment I went to, she snuggled closer to me and draped her arm over my stomach. I think I may be stuck here for the night, or at least until she moves. She will move at some point. She can’t stay still at night.
I lay, staring at the ceiling. I probably wouldn’t sleep because I was slightly on edge. I don’t want Jasmine to wake up, see me and then get mad. And I don’t want either of her parents catching me in her bed either as long as I can get away before morning comes. Then no-one will need to know what happened. I don’t even plan on telling Jasmine about this. I was hoping that she wouldn’t remember. If she does, I hope she remembers it was her that asked me to lay with her.
It was going to be a long night.
