Chapter Twenty Five - Exclusive?

Jasmine    I was sitting on my bed doing my homework. I didn’t have much to do, but I wanted it out of the way.    “Hey, baby girl,” I hear from my bedroom door.    I smile, looking up and see Cody standing there, smiling.    “Hey, how was detention?” I reply.   He rolled his eyes and made his way over to me. He reached down to kiss me softly. I whimpered gently into his lips. He pulled away, but I wasn’t having that. I quickly pull his lips back to mine; homework was soon the last thing on my mind. Cody didn’t seem to have any issues with it, though. I couldn’t help myself. His lips were good.    I thought the change in our relationship would be strange, take some time to adjust, but it all just seems to feel natural.    “Mmm, easy, sweetness,” He mumbles into my lips.    “Fine,” I groan, pulling away, and pouting at him.    “Do not pout at me, Jasmine,” He chuckles, “We can get back to doing that in a few, but I want to talk to you about something first,” He added.    I nod, gathering my things and setting them aside to make room on the bed for him. I don’t know what he wanted to say to me. It was making me slightly nervous.    “What is on your mind?” I ask.    Maybe he has changed his mind. I see him start to get a little antsy.  “I have been thinking a lot since this morning about the question we were asked,” He said.    I knew he was referring to when we got asked if we were together. I nod, encouraging him to continue.    “And you said we were still working it out,” He said, and I nodded, “And what I am wondering if maybe, you want to, um, try to be together, exclusively,” He added, stammering his words.    I didn’t know what to expect, but I wasn’t expecting him to say that.    “I understand if you aren’t ready, but I thought I would be it out there anyway,” He said.    I thought it all through for a minute. Could I be in a relationship with Cody? If someone asked that question a couple of weeks ago, I would have said no, but things have changed rapidly, but still changed, for the better.    “I would like to try, but Cody, if you hurt me in any way, we are done,” I said, “And before you get into this, you need to know we take things slow because I am not ready for what you are used to,” I added.    I wanted to make sure all of this was clear. He is used to getting s*x, and he will not be getting that from me, not soon anyway. I am not rushing into it.    Cody moved, kneeling between my legs.    “Jasmine, I promise I am not going to hurt you,” He said, “And I wouldn’t dream of rushing you into anything until you are ready,” He added.    “Are you sure because it is no secret how much you love s*x, Cody?” I spoke.    “I can go without it because you mean more to me than s*x,” He responded.    “Promise?” I ask.    “I promise,” He smiles, kissing me, “I want to be with you, Jasmine,” He added.    “Then OK, we can give being together a go,” I mumble into his lips.    I feel his lips turn up in a smile against mine when I said that. I snake my arm around his neck, kissing him harder. He moans, running his hand up my thigh. I groan into his lips, laying down and pulling him on top of me. No, I am not ready for s*x, but that doesn’t mean I don’t enjoy making out.    Cody grips my hip in his hand, and I gently tug at his hair as we kiss. I like the feeling of him close to me. Things were soon becoming heated, and we parted at the same time.    “We should probably stop because my mum and Lily are downstairs,” I giggle.   “Yes, good idea, especially since Lily likes just to walk in,” He laughs.    Cody pecks my lips a couple of times before moving next to me. Who knew that Cody would end up being my boyfriend? I rest my head on his shoulder, and he wraps his arm around me, kissing the top of my head.    Suddenly, Lily came bursting into the room.   “We are getting pizza for dinner tonight,” She announces, excited.    Cody and I looked at each other, laughing. It is a good thing we pulled away when we did.    “Awesome!” Cody responds, meeting her excitement.    Lily comes over, climbing onto the bed. She sits in front of us.    “Will you two play with me after dinner?” She asks, batting her lashes.    “Of course, what do you want to do?” I smile.    “Hmm, play football,” She suggests.    “Sounds good,” Cody smiles.    Lily grins and comes to sit between us, looking between us with a curious look on her face.    “Jassy, is Cody your boyfriend yet?” She asks, looking at me.    “It would seem so, princess,” I smile.    “Yay!” She said happily.    It must say something if my little sister has been rooting for us. Cody and I chuckle, shaking our heads. Lily stayed with us for ten minutes before getting bored and went back downstairs to play until dinner was here.    “You do know my parents will know now, right?” I laugh.   Lily wasn’t the best at keeping secrets. Well, this wasn't a secret. We just hadn’t told anyone since we only worked it out ourselves. I wouldn’t have lied to Lily anyway when she asked about us.    “I know. Please tell me your dad will not sit me down and have a talk with me?” He laughs.    “I don’t know, hopefully not,” I giggle.    Surely, he will not since he has known Cody for years. Then again, Cody is my first real boyfriend, so my dad may want words with him.    “I guess we will find out, won’t we?” He chuckles.    I nod and kiss him. I pulled away after a moment before we ended up getting carried away. Cody grabbed his phone.    “Come here, sweetness. I need a new profile photo,” He smiles.    I move in close to him, and he snaps a few photos. One of us being silly, another of us kissing and then a cute one. I hope he will use the cute one. He went onto his f*******: and changed his profile photo, and thankfully he chose the cute one.    He then goes into his information, and I watch as he changes it from being single to in a relationship—my phone pings with a notification from f*******:.    “Hmm, to accept or not to accept,” I tease.    “Hey! Don’t be mean,” Cody pouts at me.    I messed with him for a minute before accepting it.  We are f*******: official now. I am sure people will have a lot to say, and I don’t think everyone will be happy, especially since Cody is off the market now. I don’t know if that will stop some of them trying with him, though. I need to trust that he will reject them.    “Ha, you are stuck with me now, gorgeous,” He states smugly.    “I wouldn’t have it any other way,” I reply, stealing another kiss.    The notifications started coming through on both of our phones, but we ignored them, putting them in silent for now.    I am officially in a relationship with the schools’ bad boy, but more than that, with my best friend. I hope it works the way we expect.
