So Mandy started asking if everything was all right between me and Norm which, of course, it was. I did tell her he’d started staying at the office later and later, and the things she said and the way she was looking at me got me thinking. She called me an ostrich because she said I had my head buried in the sand. I didn’t agree. Mandy had divorced her husband years earlier, and she came across as being bitter. She said it was obvious Norm was having an affair, because this was how it started with her Peter, and that I needed to do something about it sooner rather than later.
