I Need To Find My Dad!!

Casey POV

I awoke to the sound of my alarm clock, turned it off, and massaged my eyes since I was still tired.

It's another tense day; I need to figure out who my father really is.

It's been a month since I attempted to locate him.

Everyone said my father was involved in some illicit activity, but I didn't believe them since my mother always encouraged me to love my father and never listen to others because they only know how to speak and don't know the reality.

I have to figure out who he is

"Open the door, sweetheart, it's morning." My granny knocked at my door trying to wake me.

"Yes Nana, I am coming, Please give me some time."

"Okay darling, I am waiting for you near the dining table."

"Yes, Nana".

I headed towards the washroom, brushed my teeth, and took a warm shower.

I changed my clothes and headed towards my living area, where my grandmother was waiting for me.

"Take a seat, darling."

I took a seat near my Nana. She served me the breakfast that she prepared for me.

"You look so exhausted every day, darling. Are you stressing yourself during work?"

"No Nana," I said in a soft voice while staring at the toast on the plate".

"Tell me, darling, you know you can't keep anything from me, don't you?"

I looked at my nana, "You didn't tell me anything about dad, why Nana??".

"I cannot tell you anything, sweetheart, because I promised your mom".

"My mom is not in this world Nana, so does your promise, so please tell me Nana what my dad does."

My granny replied, "Casey, don't talk about him."

"He is my dad, Nana. I have the right to know what he does."

"I know he is your dad, Casey, but I don't want you to meet him. He is not a good guy now, I made a mistake allowing your mom to marry him. He ruined my daughter's life, I don't want your life to be ruined now, Casey."

"Why don't you tell me the truth, Nana??".

"I can't, Casey, Your mom won't forgive me".

I said, "Okay fine Nana, don't tell me."

I didn't have my breakfast and headed towards my car.

My mood was off, I just asked my grandmother a question about my dad but she didn't reply because of her so-called promise.

I then drove towards my office, I parked my car and headed inside my office.

I work for the police as a secret agent, I find out everything that is related to the underworld, like the Mafia, and businessmen who are involved in illegal business and who are murderers.

I took up this job because I feel that my dad is involved in this.

"Heyy Casey!" my friend said as she headed towards me.

"Heyy Monica!" I said with a smile.

"You look worried. Is everything okay?"

"Yeah, everything is okay Monica, I was just worried if I would find anything that is related to my dad".

"Come on, Casey don't worry. You will surely find some clue about him and I will help you."

"I know, Monica, that you are helping me with this."

"You are my friend, that is the reason why I am helping you".

"Yeah, I know"

Suddenly, our boss arrived, and he took everyone to gather around him.

"I want everyone here now," he said with a loud voice.

We all gathered around him. I was standing near my friend, "He's got a new task for us," she said.

"I wonder who is going to be assigned this, I am so excited."

"I called you all here because I have another mission, and it's a very important one, and I want success in this task."

"It's an important one, so it will be a difficult one," Monica said.

"A party is going to be held." Tonight all the Mafia's and businessmen who are involved in illegal business will be arriving at this party, I have no idea for whom this party is and why it's held, so i will assign one of you this task. I will declare the name shortly, so everyone get back to work"

"Yes sir", we all headed towards our seats, and began to work.

I love this job, I always wished to be an undercover agent and finally my dream has come true.

I resumed my work and waited for our senior to arrive so that he could tell us who was chosen for this task.

"Excited Casey??" My friend Monica asked me.

"I am very excited Monica, I don't know who is chosen, I wish it would be me".

"It's a difficult task, Casey, and I don't want this task. Actually, here none of them wants the task except you. Why are you so excited about this, Casey?" She questioned me.

"It's a difficult one, which is why I'm excited; you know I'm not afraid of anyone, right?"

"Are you serious??"The mafia is fine, but have they heard of the Devil Prince?"

"No, I didn't, Who is he??", I asked her.

"He is known as the prince in the mafia world and he is very famous and dangerous. Everyone is afraid of him, I am surprised that you know him."

"Yeah, i never heard about him."

"Monica, I am not afraid of him."

"I bet you will laugh when you confront him in real life."

"No, I won't; when I confront him in person, I will undoubtedly kick his ass for all the crimes and murders he committed."

"Let's see Casey." She laughed.

Our senior then headed towards us with a file in his hand.

"The decision is taken. I will now announce the name," he replied.

We stood at our places and waited for him to reveal the name.

He then opened the file, "Okay, so the person who has been chosen for this task is Casey." Saying this, he looked towards me.

"Yes, sir," I replied with a smile.

"Follow me, Miss Casey." He told me.

I did as he said, and that's when my crush entered the office; he's my boss's son, and he's a really nice guy.

As I entered he smiled at me and I smiled back.

"So you are chosen for this task??", He said.

"Yes sir, I am chosen for this task," I said while lowering my head in a soft voice.

Travis is my crush. I have liked him since the first time I saw him.

"Great then, follow me", He told me to follow him.

I followed him towards the cabin of my boss.

He opened the door for me and I entered inside.

My boss was sitting in his seat and he kept turning the pages of his file.

"Hello, good morning, sir," I said.

"Yes good morning"He wished me back.

Travis headed towards his dad and took a seat next to him.

"Are you aware why I called you here?" he inquired.

"Yes sir, I am aware of that."

"So let me tell you what you have to do but before that I want to ask you if you are ready to do this job".

"Yes sir, I am ready to do it".

"Great then, take a seat in front of me".

I took a seat in front of him, he then opened his file and began to turn the pages of his file.

"I want you to find out about the Devil Prince."

"The Devil Prince??".

"Yes Casey, the devil Prince".

"Where will I find him??".

"Tonight at 8 pm, you need to attend a party. We got news that today there will be a party at the king's mansion for his son, but we don't know anything about this because they keep it hidden, so I want you to go there and collect as much information as you can".

"Okay sir, I will go there and I will try my best".

"

You need to be careful because if they find who you are, they will surely kill you".

"I got this, sir, They won't be able to find anything about me".

"Then get ready for the party tonight, you can take a leave so that you can do preparation, and you can do some planning on what you are gonna do there".

"Yes sir".

I then left his cabin and headed towards my place.

Monica was waiting for me, "Casey, What did our boss tell you??"She questioned me.

"He told me that I needed to gather information when I got there."

"Casey, tell me everything in detail, not in bits darling".

"All right, so when I arrived, I was greeted by Travis," I smiled as I took his name.

"Ohh Travis??, He was in there??".

"Yeah he was in there, He was sitting near his dad"

"I don't know what you liked about him, Casey, he is just his father's spoiled brat".

"Monica, please, he is not like that. You know that I like him, and I have developed some feelings for him".

"Casey there are so many men in this world, why don't you choose someone good, who is not useless like Travis, he doesn't work nor is he capable of doing anything good. He is using his dad's money, He doesn't work nor does he help his dad in his business".

"He is not ready yet, but when he is ready, he will surely take up his dad's business"

"Anyways, I don't want to argue or fight with you because of that useless fvcker, now tell me what did boss say exactly??".

"He told me that there is a party tonight at the mafia king's mansion. He told me that gathering information about what was going on there was a difficult task."

"Yes, Casey," she said sternly, "and now I want you to go in there in our boss's cabin and tell him that you can't do it and that you will not go there."

"Why??What is wrong, Monica??,Why can't I go there??"I questioned her.

"Do you know who he is, Casey??"She said while her expressions looked worried.

"Yes, He is the king of the Mafia".

"Yes exactly Casey, He is very very dangerous, he is capable of doing anything. He can do anything".

"I am not afraid of him Monica, I am going to go there and gather as much information as I can".

"Please Casey, Don't go there. I don't know why our boss is sending you to that mansion. There is something going on in his head which is vicious, Please listen to me, don't go there Casey"

"I have to go there Monica, its my only chance to prove myself, I want to be the best in my profession, so please wish me good luck".

"Okay, I won't say anything else, but please take care of yourself, okay darling."

"Yes I will, Monica, don't worry about me, you know I am strong", I said while holding her hands.

"Please take care of yourself, I am so scared for you, return back safely home"She said while giving me a tight hug.

"Don't worry Monica, I'll be fine okay," I hugged back.

"Yeah, just be careful Okay", she said while tears rolled down her cheeks.

I wiped her tears and told not to worry.

Monica is my loyal friend and she is my best friend.

She helps me when I am in need and she takes care of my nana in my absence.

"I need to head home now Monica because I need to prepare for the party. I need to do some planning regarding that".

"Yes I can understand, do you want me to come along with you??".

"No, Monica, you should stay here because I received a leave but you did not." will cut your salary".

"I don't care about my salary, I care about you, I will help you with the planning."

"It's okay Monica, I got this handled."

"Are you sure??", She asked me.
