Casey POV
I headed towards my car to get home so that I could do some planning and preparation for tonight's party.
When I got home, I was greeted by my grandmother, who was sitting on the coach.
"You are home early today, darling," my granny said.
"Yes Nana, I am home early today because I have to attend a function tonight, which is at 8 p.m., so I need to get ready."
My granny got up from the coach and headed towards me with her walking stick, "What kind of party?" my granny asked me with a serious expression on her face and a strict tone.
"Yeah, it's a party, Nana, why can't I go?" I asked her.
"First, answer my question. "Casey, what kind of party? Because you always informed me well in advance if there was a party, but this time you are telling me the day the party is held, and I need an explanation."
"Okay Nana, it's a party which is very important to me, you can say it's related to my work."
"Casey, don't tell me that you are putting your life at risk by interfering with the wrong people".
"Nana,Please don't be tense because of me, it's not good for your health".
"Casey you don't understand how dangerous they are, I lost my daughter because of them, and now I cannot lose you, please don't go Casey",My Nana," she said, while tears rolled down her cheeks.
I couldn't see my Nana cry. My heart aches when she cries.
So I rushed towards her and gave her a tight hug.
"Okay Nana, please don't cry. I won't go okay. "Please stop crying".
"Are you sure, Casey?" You won't go. "
"I won't go, Nana."
"Promise me, Casey."
"I promise," I said while I crossed my fingers behind my back because I was going to break my promise which I made to my nana.
"Come on, Nana, let me take you to your room. You need to get a lot of rest. "
I helped my Nana get to her room and made her lay on her bed.
"Go to sleep Nana, you need to take a lot of rest".
"Yes I will, Casey but don't forget about your promise."
"I won't, Nana, don't worry about me," I said while I sat next to her on the bed.
"I am sorry Nana, but this is the only way I can find out about my dad. If he is involved in this illegal business, I hope he is not".
I put my grandmother to sleep and then headed towards my room.
I headed towards my wardrobe and took out a red slit dress, it was a gift from a man who stays in my neighborhood.
It was one of my favourite dresses, I had never worn this dress because I never attended any parties or functions.
I took a warm shower and got ready for the party. I had already decided what I was going to do next.
I am going to wear this black mask to hide my identity.
I will try to find out what is going on at that party.
My grandmother was fast asleep, and it will take hours for her to wake up, so this is my chance to shine.
I got ready for the party, and I left my hair open.
I grabbed a change of clothes and walked to my car, where I drove to my friend Monica's house.
I parked my car and rang her bell, waiting for her to open the door.
She then opened the door for me, "Casey," with a surprised look on her face.
"Heyy Monica", I said with a smile.
"Come in Casey".
I entered her house and she closed her door behind me.
I took a seat on the coach, "you want to have something?".
"No , please sit. I want to talk to you"
She sat beside me, "okay tell me Casey".
"I need your help".
"What kind of help??".
"My granny got to know that I would be going to a party and she is totally against it, I don't know what to do Monica."
"Neither do i Casey. You need to figure this out all by yourself, i won't be able to help you".
"I just need a small favour".
"What kind of favour??"
"When my grandmother calls and asks you if I am at your place, tell her that I am working on an important project along with you".
"No, Casey, I can't lie to her".
"Please Monica, I need your help. Please help me out".
"Okay fine, I will help you out, but you need to promise me one thing".
"What kind of promise??".
"You will return home early and you will take care of yourself. If you don't return home early, I will be forced to tell the truth to your Granny".
"Okay fine, I will return home early and I will take care of myself. Now will you help me??".
"Yes I will but why did you get your clothes here?".
"I got my clothes here so that I can change, if my grandmother finds me in these clothes, she will surely have a doubt, so after the mission before going to my place, I will stop by your place."
"Okay fine Casey, i have no problem as long as you are fine".
"Monica, I will be okay, please don't worry about me, I am strong enough to take care of myself, okay".
"Okay fine, have a cup of coffee before leaving"
"Yes, I will," I said with a smile.
She then brought a cup of coffee for me, I had the coffee and then left her place.
I then drove towards the mansion.
It took 2 hours for me to reach there.
I was a bit nervous, but I had to do this, I had to prove myself.
"You got this, Casey,You can do this, You need to find your dad and gather as much information as you can," I said to myself.
I took a deep breath, wore my mask and then headed towards the mansion.
There were many guests around, all were involved in illegal business.
I had to know the reason behind this party.
I had to also find my dad, I scanned my surroundings trying to find my dad.
I had to get some answers from him, I want to know why he left me and mom.
I entered the mansion and stood in a corner.
I tried to search for my dad but unfortunately I couldn't find him, that was when I got to know something.
The so-called king of the Mafia announced that his son will inherit his company and will take over the company immediately.
I wanted to know who the Prince was but he was nowhere to be found.
Suddenly, a guy caught my hand and pulled me towards him.
"Heyy young lady wanna dance?", He asked me.
I pushed him behind, "no I am not interested in dancing. You can carry on please don't bother me".
"You don't wanna dance, everyone here is crazy for me and they all want to dance with me, who the hell are you?"He questioned me.
"Casey you don't need to bring any trouble to yourself, it's better if you dance with this freak at least he won't bother me later, it's just one dance.
I agreed to dance with him, suddenly a guy with grey mask headed towards us and he asked the guy if he could dance with me
The guy congratulated him and he called him Prince.
"So he is the Devil Prince that Monica had mentioned today", I thought to myself.
The guy left and the prince began to ask me different questions, my Mission was failing because he got to know that I am an imposter.
He then called his guard and asked him to check the guest list.
They all got to know that I am an imposter, the guards headed towards me but I confronted them and defeated them all, they were lying on the floor wounded, thanks to my martial arts skills.
I then escaped from the mansion and ran towards my car.
I couldn't tell them who I was.I drove to my friend's house.
I drove as fast as I could, I reached her place and rushed towards her house. I rang her bell multiple times while looking behind to make sure that they had not followed me.
"Please let me in quickly, Monica," I said, my breathing heavily.
"Yeah come in soon Casey"
I got inside and took a seat on the coach,
"can I get a glass of water".
"Yeah, just a minute", she rushed towards her kitchen and she poured a glass of water for me.
She handed the glass of water to me, I had it and started to calm myself down.
"Is everything okay Casey??", She questioned me.
"No, everything is not okay".
"What do you mean Casey??Tell me everything I'm detail please.
"They got to know that I am an imposter".
She didn't say anything and she just stared at me.
"Are you serious Casey??", She questioned me.
"Yes I am Monica, they tried to attack me but I fought them, I am surprised that the prince didn't do anything. He just stood there while I fought with them, maybe he was scared of me".
No, Casey, there will be a reason for this, and he will come looking for you. He is not a person who is afraid of anyone. People are afraid of him, and no one dares to mess with him. But today you did, and he is not going to leave you that easily.
"Don't worry he doesn't know who I am because I told him a fake name and I wore a mask, so he has no idea who I am"
"That's a relief, Casey, you are safe then, it will be difficult for him to find you".
"Yes , Monica, don't worry".
"Did you gather any information??", She questioned me.
"Not much, but I got to know something important."
"What is it??".
"The king is gonna retire because his son is not the owner of his company, I heard the king mentioning that he will no longer be here".
"That is great news, at least he won't bother anyone".
"Yeah he won't bother anyone but his son will, and don't forget that his son is worse than him"
"By the way, tell me how the Devil Prince looks; is he handsome and dashing, or does he appear to be very dangerous?"
"Honestly, I have no idea how he looks".
"Are you serious, you went to the party right then and you have no idea??".
"He was wearing a grey mask, that is the reason why I don't Know how he looks".
"No one saw him, his identity is hidden".
"Yeah you are right".
"By the way your Granny called me??".
"Nana called you".
"Yup she did".
"What did you tell her??", I questioned her.
"I told her that we were working on an important project together, and she said she wanted you home as soon as possible."
"Okay fine then i need to get home then"
"Yes you need to hurry Casey".
"I will first change and get this makeup off my face".
"Yes you know the way to the washroom".
"Yes I do Monica".
I then headed towards the washroom and washed my face and wore my clothes which I had carried before leaving home.
I was still disappointed because I didn't find anything about my dad.
I went there specifically to get some answers to my question but I didn't find him there.
Maybe he is not involved in this illegal business.
I put on my clothes and then headed towards the living area.
Monica was waiting for me there.
"Do I look fine, like myself??".
"Why are you asking me this question?? Casey??"She questioned me.
"That is because my granny is very smart. She will surely notice the slightest details. That is the reason why I am asking you".
