Aries/Aarini's Point Of View The next morning… When I woke up around 4 am, I had to rush to my house to take a shower. I head back to Dianna’s condo in my casual clothes and a freshly ironed black suit. Last night, she cried so much that I wanted to find that bastard and rip his head off. I never understand people. Why are they willing to cheat instead of leaving? I started making Dianna’s breakfast around 6 am. Something I knew she loved. Though this isn’t a part of my job as her bodyguard, she is still going to be my future wife one day down the line. I hated seeing her sad, especially if that sadness came from the man she was dating. She walked out of her bedroom with her short robe wide open. Beneath it was a pair of shorts and a tank top. Now was definitely not the time to be looking at long legs, the way the shorts hugged her wide hips so perfectly. Her small, firm breast moves with her. Her hair is now in a bun and I couldn’t look away. My c**k twitched in my sweatpants and I have never been happier to be behind a counter. “Good Morning, Aries,” Dianna greeted. “Good Morning. Are you hungry?” I asked her. “I would say no, but you are making my favorite breakfast meal,” She said to me, taking a seat on one of the stools. “What time are we leaving?” I asked, putting down a plate of fresh toast with freshly sliced fruits along with eggs and bacon. “I am not heading into the office until the afternoon. You can head home and take a shower. I don’t want to keep you,” She said, taking a bite from her eggs. “I already went home and showered. I also brought back a suit just in case,” I told her. She gave me a small smile and swallowed her food. “Do you only wear white T-shirts?” She asked. “Not all the time, but I mostly have more white than black and gray,” I admitted. She laughed and it was genuine. “Reminds me of my brother. He only buys white T-shirts. I don’t even know why,” She said, licking her lips. We had breakfast together and she didn’t say much. I understood why and I didn’t want to be the guy to say ‘I told you so’. He was just an asshole and she deserved way better than him. As soon as her friends called, she excused herself to speak to them. It is so funny to me that of all the girls in her friend group, I only ever talked to one of them. Ava Christian. I first sensed it when Dianna went to lunch with her friends a week after I started as a bodyguard. Ava is a lone wolf. She was abandoned by her pack over 10 years ago and she chose to make a life for herself amongst humans. I don’t blame her. “Aries, do you think you can go get me a donut from the shop across the street?” Dianna asked me. “The first donut shop is 5 minutes away, not across the street,” I pointed out. “Right, but will you get it? Please?” She asked me “I can have it delivered if you want. Is that okay?” I asked, taking my phone from my pocket. “Yes. I want the chocolate one with the sprinkles on top,” She said to me. I texted one of the guards waiting downstairs telling him to go get a box of donuts. “It will be here shortly,” I said, going back to my breakfast. “Thank you,” She said. “No problem,” I said to her. She smiled. She was silent the entire time but I could tell something was on her mind. I tried my best not to pry because I didn’t want her to think I was being nosy at all. She didn’t have her phone with her, which is weird. She always has her phone in her hand. Always. She grabbed her laptop on the kitchen counter and started answering emails. The doorbell rang and I set my mug down heading to the door. A familiar cologne lingered outside the door. I opened the door with a cold expression and the bastard stared at me as if he was expecting me to move. I stood in the doorway waiting for him to state his purpose here. “Are you going to move or stand there all day?” Chadrick asked me. “Why are you here?” I asked. “To see my f*****g girlfriend. Today is not the day to mess with me dude,” He said. I looked at him amused and chuckled humorlessly. “You are a cheating bastard. I didn’t think delusion came with it too,” I said, taunting. “Dianna, we need to talk!” He called out. A few seconds later, I heard her heartbeat getting closer and closer. “What are you doing here, Chad?” Dianna asked him. “I want to talk to you,” He said to her. I looked at her and she nodded slowly for me to let him in. I walked away from the door, refusing to close it behind him. I made my way back to the kitchen, checking my phone to see if the other bodyguard had got the donuts. He said he got them and is on his way back. “So what did you want?” Dianna asked from the living room. “I wanted you to know that I am sorry for the way things went down. It wasn’t supposed to happen like that at all,” He said to her. “You mean you were supposed to continue cheating, with me thinking you were a good guy? Chad, you are making no sense and you walked into my apartment to piss me off. Haven’t you done enough?” She asked him. “Can you even blame me for cheating, Dianna? Think about how long we have been together and you have yet to take a step forward. We are not kids. I want children of my own. You made up all these excuses not to move in with me because of what? Huh?!” He snapped. “So instead of breaking up with me, you went and f**k the next b***h that is available? You are in no position to point f*****g fingers, Chadrick. I supported you and loved you. I wanted our relationship to be on a healthy level before I dropped my home to come to live with you!” She yelled at him. “That is total bullshit. You had no intention of moving forward with me. You always acted as if you were better than me. You know how much I wanted kids. You knew all of this but your career always comes first,” Chadrick yelled. She laughed. “My career always came first? How many f*****g meetings have I been late for because of you? How many times did you use my name to get what you wanted? How many times Chadrick? You used me and want to justify your actions by talking about how I put my career over you? When are you going to stop f*****g lying? You got caught now. You cheated on me for one whole year. One year! I have never looked at another man when I was with you and you went ahead and built a relationship with someone else,” She said. I am glad she was keeping her composure because I didn’t want her crying in front of him. He doesn’t deserve to see her vulnerable at all. I f*****g hate the bastard. I wanted to rip his head off and leave it in front of his w***e of a mistress’ house. She was also a friend of Dianna and still betrayed her the way she did. “You know what, you are right. Jess did not deserve to be a secret anyway. She was too good for that. She wants to move forward in our relationship and we have recently decided to move in together. I am done feeling guilty now Dianna. She wants children. You are the one that pushed me in her direction,” He said. I heard a pause and then a hard slap. “Get the f**k out of my house!” She shouted. I looked at the entrance of the living room and he walked out holding his face. There was a knock on the door and I figured that was the donuts. I made my way to the door just as the bastard walked out. “Thank you, Sergei,” I said, taking the box of donuts. “No problem,” he responded. “Make sure you don’t let anyone else come up to the suite. Ask the man at the desk to call the room before he sends anyone up,” I instructed. He nodded and walked away, then I closed the door. I made my way to Dianna’s bedroom and knocked on the door. I could hear her crying on the other side and it would be rude to just barge in. Her footsteps approached the door and then she opened it. “Yes?” She answered. “The donuts are here when you are ready,” I said to her. She nodded and smiled. “Thank you, and I apologize for being so unprofessional. Crying and arguing with my ex-boyfriend while you are around,” She said, laughing. “It is not unprofessional. It is normal and please stop doing that,” I said to her. “Stop doing what?” She asked, confused. “You are trying to make it seem as if everything is fine when I know it’s not. You don’t have to pretend with me,” I reassured her. She smiled. “I will be ready to leave in 3 hours. I am going to take a nap,” She said to me, grabbing the box of donuts from my hand. I nodded and walked off to the living room. Today will be long and emotional.
