Dianna’s Point Of View
-Date Night
Chad and I are currently on a date. He demanded to take me out, and I wanted to be out of the paparazzi’s sight but that never happened. The countless amount of questions, with them asking Chad when he is going to propose. He chuckled and said ‘Who knows? I guess we will have to wait until tomorrow’. That made me a bit uncomfortable.
“Why did you say that to the reporter?” I asked Chad as I sipped my wine.
“Say what?” He asked, taking a bite from his steak. I sighed and looked over the table where Aries was seated.
“You made it seem as if you were going to propose. Now they will start asking me too many questions that I don’t need” I said to him. He chuckled and washed down the steak with his wine.
“Baby, are you opposed to the idea of us getting married?” He asked me. I laughed and put some of my salad in my mouth and then bit a piece of my chicken.
Am I opposed to the idea of getting married? No. Am I having doubts about my relationship with Chad? Yes, I am. We have been together for almost 3 years, and we don’t live together. He would spend time at my place and I would spend time at his, but that is about it. I am not against committing to Chad, it is just that our relationship has a lot of bumps that he refuses to discuss with me.
I don’t ever want to come off as if I am bothering anyone. Not only that, but I spoke to him about the issues three times already, and he shut me down telling me he doesn’t want to talk about it. It annoys me, but I chose to let it go, but he is crazy asking me if I am opposed to the idea of us getting married, Of course, I was with the way he shuts down when it comes to serious conversations.
“You should ask yourself if we are ready for marriage. We have been together for almost 3 years, and we haven’t had a serious conversation about anything. Moving in together, marriage or kids. You don’t make it seem like you want a future with me” I told him. He reached across the table and grabbed my hands.
“Baby, let us take this one step at a time. Also, we could have been living together a year ago, but you refused my offer” He said to me.
“No. I told you that we should get a place for both of us and you refused. I need office space as do you. We are adults and your things can’t fit in my condo unless you are willing to take the guest room. You are not thinking ahead and that just makes me think you don't see our relationship going farther than this” I said to him. He stared at me and sighs.
“Baby, I am trying alright. I really am,” He said to me.
He fell quiet after that and I didn’t say anything. Sometimes I don’t understand men. They want you to accept whatever bullshit you throw in the relationship but don’t want to consider your thoughts and feelings. I truly love Chad with everything in me, and sometimes it upsets me how dumb he can be.
When he asked me to move in with him, I agreed because at the time our relationship was going well. I offered for us to get a place together, but that never happened so here we are. I wasn't going to beat myself up over that at all. We are still alright where we are, and I understand what it is like to want your own space.
“How did it go with the two clubs you went to buy?” I asked him. He smiled and looked up at me.
“Well, I just have to make some calls to get the renovation started. Everything is going well so far, and I just have to transfer the other half of the money for the new place,” He said. I nodded and smiled.
“I am so happy for you babe. Expanding the business is great, especially in your line of work” I said to him.
“Yeah, it is. It sure isn’t what my parents want, but it is what makes me happy. And so do you,” He said to me. I smiled sheepishly.
“You are so good with your words” I smiled as I took a bite of my food.
“I am good with other things too. I showed you that last night” He said to me. I smirked and swallowed the chicken in my mouth.
“Maybe you should remind me,” I said, biting down on my lower lip.
For the rest of the night, we flirted back and forth. When we got in the car, we started making out. Since it was late at night, after all, Aries was the one driving with me and Chad in the backseat. Suddenly the SUV came to a stop and we both flew forward.
“Man, what the hell was that?!” Chad snapped. I sat up properly in my seat and looked up to see Aries staring at me in the mirror.
“It has been a long night. I am trying my best not to get out of this car and take an UBER home. Either of you has no home training and it disgusts me. I don’t need to be hearing what is going on in the back of the car when I am driving” Aries snapped sharply. I looked away from his eyes and I never understood why he affected me so badly. His gaze, his words. Everything.
“Aries, I apologize. We got carried away” I said to him. He ignored me though.
‘You do know there is always Aries right?’
‘That man clearly has feelings for you’
My mother's and my brother's words rang in my head. I refuse to believe this man had feelings for me. He never once showed it nor has he ever been lenient on me at all.

Aries/Aarini’s Point Of View
I gritted my teeth angrily as I heard Dianna and the bastard moving around in her home. She had a meeting that started 10 minutes ago and she did not think about that at all. If it wasn’t for me, she wouldn’t have been awake because her phone was off and I had to ring her doorbell until it was answered by the bastard who only wore boxers.
“f**k. I can’t find my red bottom tiger print heels” Dianna cursed under her breath.
“Where did you have them last?” The boyfriend asked. I pinched the bridge of my nose and stepped away from the door.
This is really getting out of hand and the bastard didn’t even ask her if she had any meetings today. After last night I had expected her to be responsible but she can't seem to think sane when he is around. She gets sloppy and irresponsible. That is another reason that he is not good for her.
Twenty minutes went by and they both walked out of the apartment, She apologized and I ignored her. She doesn't get to apologize after this and gets away with it. When the boyfriend was about to enter the car, I stood before the door and gave him a pointed look.
“There is no time for your puppy romance. She is already late because of you” I said to him. Before he could say anything, I got in the front seat of the car and drove off.
“Aries, I am sorry to keep you waiting,” Dianna’s voice said. I chuckled humorlessly.
“Your apologies don’t mean anything. Every time that bastard is around you make the same mistakes. Your assistant called you so many times and you didn’t answer. I don’t get paid to be an alarm clock” I stated.
“You are out of line Aries. Don’t talk about Chad like that” She said to me
“He is nobody special and you just prove my point” I shook my head and drove to the restaurant.
Whatever she said after that I ignored. I have no time to listen to her sob story and her excuses. Normally she would have been ready before I knocked on her door. She wanted this meeting and now that she got it, she is late. I had to call the client this morning and tell her that Dianna wasn’t feeling well so she would be a little late.
After the meeting, she tried apologizing again. Thanked me when I told her that the investor knows she is going to be late because she was coming down with something. While she went out for lunch, she invited me to sit with her but I ignored her. I didn’t have anything at all to say and I don’t need her to apologize. I need her to learn from her mistakes.
“That will be all Ms. Hendrix. Should I call Myra in for this one?” Dianna’s assistant asked her.
“No, we don’t need Myra. I can take care of that. Let her enjoy her maternity leave” Dianna laughed and walked past me.
It was almost 6 pm so she was getting everything together before she left the building. Tomorrow is Friday and according to her, it should be the day when you have the least amount of work to do. The day they dress all casually. To me, it is just another day in the week because I still wear my suit no matter what.
20 minutes went by and we were leaving the building. While we were in the elevator, she stepped closer to me and when I looked at her, she smiled. She was so f*****g beautiful. Especially with her hair down. I looked over her face, her flushed cheeks, and then turned my head back ahead.
“Since it’s still early, maybe we should have something new for dinner,” She said to me
“What do you mean, we?” I asked her. She sighed deeply and turned to me as the elevator opened. She grabbed onto my arm as we made our way to the car.
“I want us to have dinner together. As friends,” She said to me
“We are not friends, Ms. Hendrix,” I told her, unlocking the car. She reached ahead of me and opened the passenger door. She got in and I sighed. When I got in the driver’s seat, she started talking again.
“I wanna try Indian food and you should come with me. As an employer and employee,” She said to me. I shook my head and drove off.
When I got back to her place, I checked around the house like I usually do. I had also agreed to have dinner with her again. When I walked back out to where she was, she stood frozen in the same spot, tears streaming down her face as she stared at her phone in her hand. I quickly made my way over to her and touched her shoulder but she didn’t look up at me.
“Miss Hendrix, what’s wrong?” I asked her. She fell into my arms and started sobbing. Her phone fell out of her hands onto the floor. My phone chimed and I took it from my jacket pocket.
When I lit up the screen, I can say that I now know why she was crying. Numerous news websites have multiple pictures and videos of the bastard boyfriend and his model mistress. The pictures were just normal pictures, they were kissing on more than one occasion. One of them was taken today because he had on the exact same shirt. Dianna’s phone started ringing on the floor and it was his number.
“Don’t answer it” I said to her as she pulled away wiping her nose.
“I have to, or he will show up here,” She said to me. She picked up her phone and took a deep breath.
“You don’t have to do this. If he comes here, I will make sure he leaves,” I stated. She shook her head and answered the phone.
“Baby, I can explain” The bastard rushed out quickly.
“Explain? Explain f*****g what?! How you cheated on me with my employee? Or how you f*****g lied to me and right after you were with me you went to see her?” She snapped at him.
“It was just a mistake. It all happened so fast and I was stupid” He tried to excuse himself and I was close to walking over there to hang up that phone.
“How long has it been going on?” She asked him. The line went silent. She looked at me, her gaze lingering.
“It wasn’t very long,” He said quietly.
“How long have you been f*****g Jessica Scott, Chadrick?!” She snapped
“A little over a year now” He mumbled. She laughed.
“Alright, well now you may continue. You won’t have to explain to me anymore,” She said. He was about to say something else but she hung up.
“Range check on dinner?” I asked her. She wiped her face and smiled.
“No, it’s fine,” She said to me. No, she is not.
“Dianna, I know that you are not okay. You don’t have to pretend with me,” I told her. Her eyes met mine again and this time she let the tears flow down freely.
“How? How could I not see this?” She asked and I wrapped my arms around her letting her cry. She buried her face into my chest and cried for a long time.
I had taken her to the living room where she cried until she fell asleep. When I tried untangling her arms from around me, she woke up and begged me to stay. Her red-swollen eyes and puffy cheeks were enough to convince me.
I went back and forth with my thoughts wondering if I should take her to her bedroom because now she is sleeping with her head on my chest and I am trying to not wrap my arms around her tighter and kiss her forehead.
