Chapter Twenty-Two

ETHAN'S POV

"I'm starting to feel like Sienna has forgotten who her real best friends are. We will be needing a innervation before long against your wife and your mum" I say to Sid over a friendly game of poker.

"I hate to go against the women in my life, however you may just be right" Sid says laughing.

"I wonder if we are about to get it served to us and we lose the battle with Sienna going to a hotel. If it really comes to it do the one in Central as that one I've got security at" I say

"Ooo, I forgot about that. Great idea, let's see if we can get her to agree to stay at one of ours first. I'd rather that than some hotel with god knows who in. Plus that man was murdered in one a few months back, not far from here either" Sid says.

"I'd forgotten all about that, maybe a good bargain arguing point on our behalf though" I say.

"I like your thinking" Sid says as Maria and Sienna walks in.

"What thinking is that?" Maria asks.

"First tell us what you two where talking about?" Sid retorts to Maria.

"Oi, be nice" Sienna says nudging Sid as she takes a seat next to him and looks at his cards.

"I am, I'm simply asking what you two were talking about" Sid says acting innocent as he lays his cards down saying "full house."

"Here you go one sleeping baby" Maria says passing Jordan to Sienna then she turns to me and Sid and says "Sienna is not staying here tonight" Sid interrupts her saying "What! No way don't say you agreed with her".

"Ethan beatwood, dont be rude and stop interrupting Maria. And so help me god don't make me put my nephew down to knock some sense into you. I know our parents raised you right to not be so damn rude".. me and Ethan both look at each other shocked that Sienna has used her don't f*****g mess with me today voice. We haven't heard that it a long time.

Maria smiles before she then says "As I was saying, Sienna isn't staying here and yes I damn well support Sienna because unlike you fools I actually asked Sienna her reasons and why she would like to stay in a hotel". Me and sid both look at each other with a ooo s**t look before Sienna mutters "Seems like you both need a rudeness check".

"I think they may just need that indeed, Anyway upon speaking more with Sienna we talked over all options, you know like adults do. Maybe you should ask Sienna what she has decided" Maria says.

"Were sorry, but in our defense there was a murder in a hotel not long ago just up the road" Sid says.

"Dont give me that bullshit its like two hours away" Maria says

"Still you can't be to careful" I say backing Sid up.

"Excaulty, it could happen anywhere. anyway what have you decided Sienna. We will be sure to listen to what you want" Sid says

"I know, I'm unlucky but jeez I think one attempted murder on me is all that's going to happen to me in this life time. But you can rest assured so long as Ethan really doesn't mind I will use his spare room. Otherwise it looks like I'm sleeping in the car on your drive Sid since you both clearly have hotel issues suddenly" Sienna says without so much as taking her eyes off Jordan.

Me and Sid look at each other with relief and I'm actually excited that I get to spend some more time with Sienna so soon.

"That's fine with me" I say and Sid smiles saying "No arguments here".

"Great, that's that sorted anyway" Maria says

"Why what else needs sorting?" Sid asks.

"The nappy bin still and its your turn" Maria says laughing.

"Ooo, bad luck" I say and I notice Sienna smiling as she says "Rather you than me".

"Are you sure you don't want a drink Sienna?" Maria asks

"Nah, I'm good thanks. Oh did you like the baby outfit I had sent to you by the way?" Sienna says.

"Its so adorable, I was actually surprised you thought of baby shopping" Sid says

"I see it in a shop window and I really couldn't resist it. I'm glad you like it" Sienna says.

"While I remember you should contact Charlie and Harry, I'm sure there probably still worried about you" I say suddenly thinking of them still unaware of Sienna being back.

"Ooo, good call" Sid says.

Sienna moves Jordan as if he is made of China in fear of waking him up no doubt as she digs in her jeans pocket and takes her phone out.

"I will send them a text in group chat then they won't suspect anything" Sienna says

"Tell them you fell asleep whilst your phone was charging they will totally believe it" Sid says.

"I like it" Sienna says typing away one handed on her phone. Jordan starts to stir and Sienna quickly sends the message as mine and Sids phones go at the same so we know its Sienna. She then says "Alright, time for you to go see mum or dad, maybe uncle Ethan" as she gently rocks Jordan in her arms trying to settle him.

"I will take him" Sid says taking Jordan from Sienna.

"In that case I will leave you to see to little man, I'm gonna make tracks. Ethan don't rush off on my account. I have somewhere I want to stop by anyway quickly" Sienna says.

"It's alright, I'm ready to go as well. Where do you need to go?" I say standing up as I see Sienna standing up. Sienna looks like she is debating something as she starts fiddling with her necklace. She looks between us all goes to speak but then doesn't as she looks between us all again. "It doesn't matter it can wait until tomorrow" Sienna says waving her hands but she looks a little disheartened.

"What was it?" Sid asks

"It really doesn't matter, it was a stupid idea anyway. If I tell you all that's an even worse debate that I'd just lose anyway" Sienna says

"No, I'm sure your have your reasons for whatever it is. Try us and these two can remember to try listening before jumping to what they think is best. Your thoughts and feelings count as well" Maria says.

"It's really fine. I will go tomorrow and it really doesn't matter. Thanks for this evening Maria" Sienna says hugging Maria goodbye.

"Your welcome" Maria says not pushing Sienna on the matter and I then say "Catch you all later. Sienna I will meet you back at mine then?".

"See you later" Sid says and then Sienna says "Yeah, we should arrive about the same time depending on the routes we take".

"I will just follow you back as it will make it easier" I say and then Maria says "Bye" to us both and we head on out with Maria on our tail.

Maria walks Sienna to her car while I head for mine. They seem to be in deep talks and I wonder how long there talk this time.

SIENNA'S POV

"You really don't have to walk me to my car" I say to Maria but she says "No i want to, So you want to tell me whats on your mind now that the lads are out of ear shot?"

"It really isn't that important, it was something I was going to do tomorrow and then I suddenly felt the urge to do it this evening. But I can wait until tomorrow" I say unlocking the car door and opening it.

Maria looks past me and I turn to see what she is looking at. I forgot I had left the flowers in the passenger seat with the teddy's I'd brought to put on the grave.

"You want to go to grave don't you, I really don't like the thought of you going in the dark alone. If you really want to go tonight why don't you ask the lads to just kinda be there in the background so your not alone?" Maria asks.

"No, I want to do it alone. And I knew I wouldn't win that debate so I will just go tomorrow" I say.

"Your right you wouldn't of won that debate. Hell not even I can think of way to help you win that debate. But I also understand it" Maria says giving me a hug again.

"Thanks" I say and then I get in the car.

"Remember just send a SOS message if you need my help. I have your back" Maria says and I laugh again at remembering how Maria has this part all figured out.

"Okay, thank you again. Have a good evening and we will catch up soon properly" I say starting the car up.

"Definitely, you have a good evening as well" Maria says standing back so I can drive away and she waves me off blocking Ethan which I find even more funnier. I know though it won't be long before he catches me and and I'm not wrong when I catch his car in the rear view mirror behind me a few streets away.

The rest of the drive back to Ethans was Just like I suspected, Ethan staying right behind me all the way. I debated going through a light on Amber but knew there was a chance Ethan would chance a ticket taking a red light so I didn't. I waited and I even see Ethan put a thumbs up to me laughing. Its like he knew I debated it and was giving me approval of my decision.

But now we had arrived at Ethans and both of us was turning our engines off after parking not far from each other. I got out my car and headed for my boot. I heard Ethan get out his car and lock it as he said "I really thought you were going to go through that Amber light"

"I debated it" I say opening my boot to get some clothes out my suitcase.

"I could tell you debated it as you looked at me in the rearview mirror a second before you decided to stop" Ethan says laughing.

"If I wasn't already bored of driving today I'd of given you a run for your money getting back here" I say finding some pj's and few other bits I'd need overnight then stuffing them in my bag.

"I'd of still caught up with you though" Ethan says sounding really sure of himself.

"Next time we shall test that theory then" I say grabbing my bag and shutting the boot before locking my car.

"I will look forward to it" Ethan says as we head in to his. My phone starts ringing to I briefly stop to see who it is. Seeing its Vic I turn it to silent mode and ignore it.

"Its no one important" I say putting my phone into my pocket again.

"Okay, I wasn't going to ask anyway. I was actually going to ask how your drive back was" Ethan says

"Oh, well it was long and I got stuck in traffic the last few hours. If I knew traffic would be bad this end with road works I'd of not taken so long on my last service station stop.. otherwise it was alright" I say as Ethan opens his door.

"That's good then. Help yourself to drinks and anything you need. I'm just going to put the bedding on the bed in spare room" Ethan says as we walk in.

"Okay, thanks for having me tonight" I say

"It's no problem, you all know I've a few spare rooms for when you all want to crash anyway" Ethan says heading off to to sort the bedding.

I go sit down on the sofa while I wait and its excaulty as I remember this place still.

I decided to get my phone out and search places to buy. Having my own home and having a fresh start would be good for sure I think to myself.

Before I know it I'm engrossed at looking at property's locally to buy that I haven't heard Ethan coming in.

I didn't even notice Ethan until he sat down next to me and I jumped out my skin.

"Sorry, I didn't mean to startle you. I did call out to say the bedroom was ready before I went and put the kettle on" Ethan says

"You did?" I ask looking at Ethan and he replys "Yes, I did. Whats got into you to distracted you, that you forgot I was even here?" Ethan asks.

"Oh, I'm sorry. I'm just looking for a home to buy" I say showing Ethan my phone.

"Seen anything you like?" Ethan asks.

"Nothing is screaming at me 'Buy me' yet" I say.

"I'm sure your find something you like soon, So you want a drink?" Ethan asks.

"No, I'm good thanks I finished a drink I had in the car at one of the lights" I say

"Okay, well if you change your mind you know where the kettle is" Ethan says

"I sure do. If you don't mind I will probably go get some sleep soon after I've looked through a few more of these properties" I say.

"Yeah, thats alright" Ethan says getting up and heading for the kitchen again. But he stops in the door way and says "Once I've made my drink I'm going to have a shower so if your in bed before that I hope you sleep well"..

I turn to face Ethan and says "Okay, I will say night just incase. If not I will see you after your shower. Thanks for having me".

"Okay and your welcome" Ethan says then he disappeared out of sight.
