Chapter 27: Dreaded Mission

A Few Months Later

The bodies were piling up and I needed to find out what was going down until Aidan summoned me to the Palace and because I was his Advisor, I could teleport. Teleporting was fun and I realized this was big when I arrived because the room had Michael's team and a few of Emile's men. Kolie was already there and Aidan looked at me and said, "We need to tell you something and get your men on standby." I nodded at Kolie before Drax took him back and then I was filled in on the situation, Toffe was the one killing everyone, I had my suspicions but who was going to confront a Feral Supreme? I may be cold but not dumb, I had linked Jasper about the situation and he told me to be careful, he was home most of the time keeping a close eye on our pregnant mate. The meeting started and a plan had been laid out, Ty was going to be the kill shot and we were going to lure Toffe back to Frogger Forest.

We had everyone clear the streets on lockdown so we could draw Toffe out, he went feral because of his bloodlust and anger toward Issy. He killed her husband in anger and has been in wolf form since then, a lot of rogues were killed along with a few of the civilians, so we had to do something before it got out of hand and word got out about Toffe. Rumors were beginning to spread about an evil entity gunning for the Supremes, it was comical but a serious problem for us. A story was already being leaked that Toffe would be away for a while on a special mission for Aidan. I felt for the kid because the look on Ty's face said it all, he was torn about this and he turned to go and talk to his mother. I linked Kolie and he advised us that our best men would be sent along with us to help the others capture Toffe. Aidan was masking the pain on his face because he hated putting Toffe down but it was a short-term fix for now until they could truly help him.

We were all spread out and we all were on alert, Toffe was running around from us as we lured him to the butcher shop with blood on the floor. He took the bait and my snipers were in trees and on buildings along with Emile's and Cayden's men, Michael's Men were in the mix, up close. Tommen had his wolves around along with the Palace Guards, the area was clear and it was time for Issy to do her part for once. We got the signal as Drax looked at me and nodded his head to get ready, I could hear Issy's heartbeat, she was scared as she stood on the hill so that Toffe could see her. Ty's mother joins her in case she needs a push to run when the occasion calls for it, we saw the big wolf burrel through the trees and he was shot but healing. The gunfire was heavy as he roared and growled at us in pain, his eyes were those of a feral wolf as he looked at Issy, we all felt his rage as he dived for her but Drax blocked it with a kick signaling for Issy, and Lady Stella to get out of there.

The tranquilizers were weakening him and I saw Ty get in place, Aidan and Michael were not too far behind, one of my men was hit but he survived. I closed my eyes as I heard the shot and I wondered if I would have to do that to Lauren eventually, I shook my head, I could never harm my daughter, and hopefully, this would never come to pass. I watched Ty and his mother mourn Toffe because they won't have him around for a while, I linked Kolie to be with his family and he headed over to comfort his mate. As the dust settled, Aidan ordered a clean-up before he announced the threat had been neutralized. Eli mind-linked me about how it went, I had told him since he was in vampora in our absence, he felt bad for Toffe but understood and no one spoke of it again until it was time to wake Toffe.

Toffe

I was in my wolf form for two days and people were told to stay indoors, I had gone feral and was draining every animal and unsuspecting rogue or innocent bystander. I ran after I killed Matthew because I was in so much pain and Aidan was going to lock me away, I couldn't go to prison not again, I wouldn't do it. Tricia linked me, "Where are you, baby?" I said "I can't come home right now," and blocked her out, they were using her to get to me but I needed blood. I needed to feed, but there was no one around and I broke into the meat shop and was eating the raw meat when I heard noises. I saw the red dots on the wall and I knew it was Michael's team hired to take me out, I was angry, they were going to lock me up, I tried to hybrid out but my powers weren't working properly and Ty had me grounded, I could feel it through our brotherly bond.

I jumped out the show window and heard the roars of the automatic weapons, I was hit a few times but I was still going, I was burning through whatever they hit me with. I saw Issy standing on the boulder and I said, "I need blood," and she said, "I can't," and backed away. I jumped at her and was kicked to the side by Drax and I growled, he mind-linked me, "Stand down, kid," and I got angrier. Then I heard Ty inside my head, "TT, stop," and I turned around and was surrounded by about forty men, all with guns pointed at me. My mother was crying holding that b***h Issy hand and I wanted to kill the b***h, she caused this," and Ty said, "Over here, TT," and he had his gun on me. He was crying and I said, "This fucker was crying, he pulled a gun on me and crying," I slowly started going towards him and my hunger grew, the pain was overbearing and I ran at him, I wanted to kill someone, I needed blood and he told everyone to stand down, and I jumped at him before he linked me, "Sorry," and I felt it and saw black.

Three Years Later

I have been out for at least six months and needed to catch up on everything, I went to Ty's office and he filled me in on everything. I felt better but not totally cured, I still have cravings but I am handling it for now, I married Tricia but I never permanently marked her. I still had second thoughts and was holding out just a little, Tricia knew and understood, I loved her and she loved me and that's what matters. We choose not to have any kids after her miscarriage to avoid future heartbreak for our kids if we do find our mates, and in her case meet up with her mate again. I screwed up big time with the way things were handled but I understood that it needed to happen and I wasn't mad at any of them. I was just scared to be locked up again after what happened to me in Roman's prison, things that I don't think I will ever get over.

However because of my crimes, Aidan had no choice but to put me down, I was down for two years and now I am free, Tricia remained at my side and loyal to me, she was afraid to meet her mate so she decided to be put down with me so that I won't be alone. The spell they put on us had us on a beach enjoying life just two of us, this happened right after her miscarriage and she wanted to be with me, I was grateful that I wasn't alone like I was when I was imprisoned by Roman. When we woke up, we were in the north tower that was used to imprison royalty, it was spelled so only those authorized, could enter, and it was heavily guarded. I saw my brother as soon as I opened my eyes and Aidan, I smiled and hugged both of them, then I turned to see Tricia was still asleep so I carried her to our room and let her finish sleeping it off. I had a few blood bags and it was Issy's blood, which surprised me, Ty said, "Since Matthew's death, she has been alone and stopped dating, she needed to be there for the kids," and I nodded in understanding.

He asked me about what happened at the wedding because I never told him and I said, "Another time." However, I asked him about Elena and he said, "She has another child with her husband, probably going four by now," and I was confused, I had never seen her pregnant before I was put down and Ty said, "She hid it." Since being freed, I have been enjoying life before I resumed my duties, Ty still had guards on T.J. from a distance and I was grateful. I was out to lunch with Tricia and everyone was staring at us since I wasn't around for a few years, they were told I was away in human territory on business. A few of the people linked me saying, "Welcome back, Delta Toffe and Lady Tricia," and we smiled. I had fallen madly in love with Tricia because she cared and stood by me when I needed someone the most.

Back at the Underworld

Unknown POV

I was planning a great escape for the man I love but I need more time to make sure this works, I believe he has changed and deserves a second chance. I succeeded in losing his execution papers over the years so it will take time to go through the channels again to replace them. However, I will look for a place where we could hide out and live our life away from everyone, I was working with a witch who was sent here and she knew a spell that would work as long as it freed her too. I couldn't wait for my plans to come to fruition, I was heading to the front office where we were preparing for a special prisoner personally requested by our Queen. I don't know what they did but the Queen will have this one punished differently from the others, well just a bit more than the former Rogue King was being punished along with his former mate.
