Since I met with the others, they have found a way to contact me without alerting my wife, I had made peace with dying when they came for her. I tried to kill her so many times but she placed a spell on me so that I could never harm her with a twist, "If you tried to kill me, the more you will fall in love with me, the more you resist me, you will love me unconditionally," her exact words, if not she would be dead already. He told me, "They are on vacation, I stayed back because of work," and I said, "So, you let your mates have fun without you?" We both laughed, I love to see the sparkle in his eyes when he talks about his mates and I once had that. After I told my son I wanted him to meet my boyfriend, he was skeptical and said, "You giving up on dad already," and I laughed and said, "I loved your father but he left me with two kids and a Kingdom to run by myself, no word, he is dead, I don't feel him anymore, I need to move on, Elijah." He said he would meet my lover after that and he left leaving at least one guard with me, he was so protective just like his father and I headed back to my penthouse. I lay on the bed thinking about Johrir and I cried for the first time in a long time, I still missed him, but I need to stop doing this to myself, hurting myself.

He didn't love me enough to come back, and I should stop expecting him to, Domar was right, I needed to forget Johrir and tell everyone we were engaged and planned to marry and mate soon. I made a special dinner and Domar arrived fifteen minutes ahead of my son, he brought Eli and I loved my grandson. This would just be killing two birds with one stone and maybe Eli can help plan my wedding, we sat down after the pleasantries and introductions and we had a wonderful dinner. I knew it was time to bring it up, so I did, when Eli asked about his job and he explained he was a detective, Elijah stared at him and said, "Interesting," before I blurted out, "I am engaged," showing them the ring. I could have sworn Elijah had grown two heads, he was furious but tried to hide it. I felt uneasy and excused myself to the bathroom, I wanted him to be happy for me, I deserve happiness, don't I?

After that awkward dinner, Domar helped me clean up as my servant had turned in for the night, I smiled when he put his arms around me and I felt his hard-on in his pants. After the dinner, I was shocked my mother was going to mate a dragon, it was not unheard of but a dragon. I called up King Dominic and had a file built so I could understand who my mother was letting into her life. I was not going to sit back and watch my mother break if this went all wrong, plus, my father was alive and he would be back for her. He is not her mate, if not, I would have no problem, but she was giving up hope and I needed to get Amara to talk some sense into our mother, it was time for my dear sister to return. I was back at the office and I called Ty to explain everything and he smiled saying, "See if he has a mark and wears jewelry that he doesn't take off, if she is so drawn to him, it could be her second mate which means Johrir's second mate is a man."

He busted out laughing and I said, "My second mate is a man, what's so funny?" He said, "Sorry, it's just that Johrir was a womanizer and I can't wait to see the look on his face." I said, "Maybe, he was not gay just that my mother has two mates," and he said, "Time will tell, and we have a theory about the marks and jewelry, so meet me later," and I hung up. So, I was going to stop in the precinct where we work, I needed to know if he had a mark accompanied by jewelry. However, I knew Ty was right, Royal Vampires have triads so the mate will be my father's mate and I smiled. The Supremes were different though, but who questions the powerful beings anyway?

I was deep in thought thinking about the day Jade confronted me about my father, I knew she was my aunt but I didn't want to jinx it. When they found my father, I was excited that he was alive but I was scared for my mother as she had finally found someone she loved and he was still married to Vivianne. I couldn't believe he was mated and cloaked all these years because of spies in my camp. I wanted to see him but that would have to wait and since I needed to make sure Domar was right for my mother, she was going to go against me and mate him anyway, so I gave my blessing. However, I was going to get this blood read because too many traitors and spies were popping up all over Ravena working for that witch and it was time we put an end to her.
