Chapter 17 up in flames Devon's coming home

Star’s P.O.V
Who the f**k does this b***h think she is? Does she seriously think that she is going to take National away from me? Does she seriously think that National is going to pick her, a woman who has spread her legs more times than I’ve had hot meals? I’ve had enough of her and her bullshit. I charged at her, knocking her to the ground and grabbed her by the hair, yanking her head back and making her look at me.
“So you want to challenge me, huh? You think you are strong enough to take me, b***h? Well, challenge accepted.” I said, growling. I knelt down and bashed her head into the ground, then grabbed both sides of her head and twisted it until I heard her neck snap. I threw down her lifeless body and stood up, turning to face National.
“Mind-link Devon and tell him that his mate won't be coming, not tonight or ever again.” I said, turning around to face Lisa’s dead body. I closed my eyes, setting Lisa’s body on fire and when I opened them the flames were rising high.
National’s P.O.V
I was so proud of Star and how he handled herself, but I was also a little more than turned on as well. I shook my head and started the mind-link between Devon and I. It wouldn't be too hard to get in touch with him as neither he or Lisa had officially renounced their bond with the pack, so I soon connected with him.
“Devon, you busy man?” I asked, mind-linking him and then waited for him to reply.
“Hey Alpha, I was just about to link you. Lisa and I were mates, but she rejected me a few weeks after we got here, then the pack split up. I was wondering if I could come back, please.” Devon replied and I was a little confused.
“Yeah, of course you can come back, but I’m a little confused. We got a letter from you just the other day saying you and her were doing fine and that you had already named your pack. She came here today and pissed Star off, lets just say that she's up in flames right now.” I said, looking at the flames.
“Alpha, I didn't write a letter, she must have written it. She rejected me after a month of being here and then she left. I should have warned you, but I thought she would have gone some place else, I had no idea that she was coming back to you. I’ll be back in a few days.” Devon replied and it all made sense now as to why she had come back here after all this time.
“Great, I'll see you soon.” I said and ended the link.
“Well, you are never going to believe this, but that letter we got from Devon was bogus, Lisa was the one that sent it. Lisa rejected Devon a month after starting up in Utah and left him, he is on his way back here now, wanting to come back home and I told him yes.” I said, telling Star everything.
“That b***h should have known better than to come back here, I’m the wrong b***h to mess with. I’ve already lost one mate, I’m not about to lose another. I wish I had drawn it out a bit longer now and really made her suffer.” Star replied, getting angry.
“Don't worry, love. You are not about to lose me, I’m rock solid, baby.” I said, hugging her and trying to calm her anger down.
“You better be because I am. Come on, let's head inside. There's something I need to take care of.” Star said, smirking at me.
“Oh and what is it that you need to take care of?” I asked, smirking and trying to sound all innocent.
“Oh, you will see.” Star replied, taking my hand and leading me inside and back to our room.
“By the way, you’re hot when you get all angry and start fighting.” I said, smacking her ass and making her giggle.
Kevin’s P.O.V
It had been a few hours and Justin and Karen had finally come to see me, but what took them so long?
“So Justin, did you see anything when you were watching them?” I asked, but he shook his head.
“No sir, the only thing I saw was the female with her mate and they were talking about something, then she did something with her hand and a small flame danced around her hand. I thought it was pretty cool, but that's about it. It was quite boring actually.” Justin replied and I was overjoyed to hear this. He might have thought it was boring, but I was over the moon.
“So it's true then, she really does have powers. I need her, Karen, with her we will rule.” I said, but Karen just sighed.
“You need to stop and listen to yourself, all we know is that she has the power of fire, that's it and we don't even know how strong that power is. We have one more day before we go and see the witch, then we can figure out what to do.” Karen replied, bursting my happy bubble. Why does she always do that?
“Fine, we will go and see her tomorrow. We will see what she has to say and then we will go from there, but if she tries to trick me then I will kill her on the spot.” I said and Karen rolled her eyes, walking out of my office with Justin quickly following behind her. What is up with those two? I know my plan is going to work, my sister just needs time to really think about it and then she will see that it is a great idea. It's a foolproof plan and no one is going to stop me from carrying it out, especially not my sister, not anybody
