As soon as Melissa sat down in the car, she fainted. John panicked when he saw that and called his sister to organize a VIP room as well as keeping it private. From what Timothy told him, the little girl 's life was threatened and judging by marks on her neck shows that she must have been through a lot.

The hour long ride was reduced to 20 minutes after he saw her pale face. His sister Bethany was waiting in the underground parking lot for important VIPs for privacy purpose. Bethany was mortified when she saw her and quickly rushed her to the emergency room.

John then proceeded to call Tim and explained what happened plus also got one of his trusted subordinates to investigate and arrest the relevant parties in regards to the Will and child a***e. Timothy was so angry that he almost punched his assistant but quickly controlled his temper.

He apologized and gave him the day of. He gave a few instructions to his employees and rushed to the airport to take his niece away from those predictors. His lawyers have already left a few hours ago to handle the custody agreement. The lawyer who was supposed to make sure that the will was executed was reported and he broke down when he saw how many charges he'll be facing.

It was only then that he learned that his little sister had divorced her husband two years before her death and married someone else but they couldn't find out who it was. Apparently his parents wanted the property and they couldn't leave to him or the unknown husband so the only thing they could do was to raise the child for benefits.

Timothy took a 16 hour flight to Infinite City and headed straight to the hospital and took the private route to her room as instructed by John. He cried so hard as soon as he saw the carbon copy of Tyra, his late sister. She was so skinny and so vulnerable and weak.

Doctor Beth came in at that moment and was surprised at seeing Timothy so broken. She has had a crush on him for 6 years but Tim wasn't interested in relationships at all. She had also noticed the resemblance between the little girl and a certain childhood friend of hers. Both of them, she looks like her but those set of eyes that holds countless of wisdoms are the exact copy of his.

It's kinda strange that they both disappeared at the same time back then and the fact that he gave up everything and retired in the middle of nowhere raises a lot red flags.

" Beth how is she?" tim asks.

" sighs, Well her body is covered in bruises , she has an two untreated broken ribs and who whoever choked her was hell bent on killing her. She has a sevier case of malnutrition. I've put her to sleep and administered painkillers to help her manage the pain. I'm surprised that she managed to walk at all" Beth said with a sad tone.

" Wow, thank you." Tim said and his phone rang so he went out to answer it

' Mr Duncan, we submitted the will to the court along with the medical evidence provided by the police chief and Dr Beth. You are now officially Miss Melissa 's legal guardian and everything the will specified will take effect with immediate effect. Your parents are currently under police custody along with your sister and your late sister's ex husband. I've sent you the list of properties they had taken and they will be returned to miss Melissa to deal with as she wishes. There's a total of 34 billions which will be handed to miss when she turns 18. Mr Thomas received a total of 1 million a year for raising her which totals UpTo 16 million which he'll be ordered to pay back along with the money you are suing him for. I've managed to keep the media away from this case and it is confirmed that Mr Thomas shares no biological relations with Miss Melissa. Your grandmother called and wished to see her granddaughter before you take her. She has more evidence for you to take a look at. Her health is failing so she wants to go back to her home town.' Prosecutor Miller said

" Thank you, it's been a tough week for you" Timothy responded.

' It's part of my job and i feel sorry for the little girl. I never knew she had a child and maybe i could have done something if I knew. By the way, i think i might know who the second letter belongs to, if it is who i think it is. The little girl 's life is even in more danger. I opened it and it contains critical evidence of the incident that happened 17 years ago.' Miller said.

" I thought so too, it was the only thing my sister was investigating before her untimely death. Melissa told me a week ago when she called me that she overhead that scum Thomas blackmailing someone on the phone in regards to mass murders which was why he tried to kill her." Tim said and sighed heavily.

' She still hasn't woken up?' Miller asked

" No, Beth says that her body is exhausted and sleeping is good for her. She said she might wake up tomorrow. Do you have the number of the phycologist you went to back then? John said she might need it." Tim asked

' I'll send it to you. All her properties are returned to her name and your parents request to see you ' Miller said.

" I know, it's time to get to the bottom of this" Tim said. They exchanged a few words before hanging up.

Tim said goodbye to Beth and asked the secret bodyguards not to let anyone in except for Beth.
