Awake

1006 Words
Just like her previous life, Melissa woke up two weeks after but the difference is that she wasn't surrounded by machines but a cold room with darker colors. She sat there thinking about her past life and the timeline of what had happened to her. She had died at the age of 30 , 2 years from now things would have gotten worse for her. Thomas would d**g her and had her over to his business partners whenever he needed favors. He locked her in the basement and hired private tutors with everything. Then she tasked to do the work he couldn't do and turned his crap of a company into a multi billion dollar company. She also remembered what Elsa said to before they pushed her down the ocean. Elsa was Thomas 's daughter and he was helping others destroy her life. She knew that they are powerful and that she's a sitting duck at the moment. She was alone at the moment and caught sight of the blue folder on the table next to her. She took the folder and realized that it was a list of properties her mother left for her for her. A certain address caught her, it was the house Thomas had taken her to meet his new "girlfriend and stepdaughter" a month from now. She was pretty surprised at that time the woman her "father" was dating was the mother of her best friend and that's when friendship blossomed. She only realized now that she was set up from an early age. She remembered the real estate value from past and took a pen from her bag pack and ticked the places she would sell which includes the places where those pigs stayed. She had never enjoyed school in her past life she wanted to experience it now. She took her laptop and looked at the information on best high schools around the world. Part of her wants to stay and make those people pay but she's been trapped long enough in this place that she lost all of her faith in humanity. Although she had come back 14 years, it won't erase the fact that she had gone through that and her perfect memory isn't helping either. Timothy went straight to the police station to see his parents since they were awaiting their bail hearing after more evidence has come out thanks to his grandmother. They have done so many things over the years that it amazed him. Although the crimes weren't anything like murder, they evaded paying tax, money laundering, running illegal gambling matches and adding to a few harassment cases. Let's just say they are looking at a few in jail on top of the fraud case. Tim brought along a few documents his grandmother had given him before she left for the village. He hired a nurse to accompany her after hearing her situation from her doctor. It was thanks to her that everything went well. He got very surprised when he saw the DNA results she did behind his parents back. It turns out that his mom wasn't Tyra 's biological mother but dad's childhood sweetheart who's also missing. It's a mess!? After a few minutes, his parents were brought in wearing prison clothes in the interrogation room John organized. They looked far off from their usual far off luxurious selfs. " Son, you need to get us out of here?" Lydia demanded as soon as they sat down. " And why would i do that?" Timothy asked nonchalantly. " Because I'm your mother!" she yelled at him. " That ended the moment you hid the fact that my sister left my niece in my care for the last 16 years. The one who can get you out of here is her and i doubt she will be able to do so. She's still in a coma and if she dies, you and that animal will add intentional murder in your impressive resume. Plus you are already broke at the moment and have no place to live so I doubt you'll be granted bail" Tim said in a lazy manner scaring the couple so bad that they were trembling. " It was Thomas who hit her, how am i involved in this?" she asked in an ignorant tone. " Because you gave him to her knowing full well that he wasn't her biological father and that he had no right to take care of him for money. There are some evidence showing that you knew he was abusive but did nothing so that makes you his accomplice. You could've had at least 5 years in prison for fraud with the Will but you just had to hand over an innocent kid to an animal and get involved in illegal activities. If you had loved my little niece, she could have testified that you were good parents but look at what your jealousy brought you mom!! The fact that Tyra isn't your biological daughter and the fact that she was murdered has put more possible years for. I'm sure whom ever it was that placed those evil thoughts in your head won't mind sacrificing a lost lamb to save her skin. Dad, I'm very disappointed in you. She was your daughter and the other one is your first grandchild, my niece!! You can rot in jail for all i care." Tim said and left ignoring his mother screaming behind him. " You are going to use your parents as bait?" John asked as soon as Timothy came out. " They owe her that much. " Tim said taking out a cigarette. " She's awake" John said which stopped Tim from lighting the cigarette and run at lightning speed before John could catch up. An hour later he froze as soon as he saw her, most especially her grey eyes. None of his family members have grey eyes including her mother so that means they came from the bastard father who left his sister to die.
