He had seen some of her pictures from when she was a toddler but all were her eyes closed. She looked exactly like her except for the grey eyes and the long curly raven hair. His heart broke as soon as he saw those bandages on her hands and bruises.

" Hey sweetie, I'm your your uncle Timothy. " he introduced himself nervously

" Hi " Mel responded in a weak voice.

It was only when she was searching for a high school that she recalled that she she was currently in senior year. Mr Thomas had forced her to earn better grades but not too great in order to fully control her.

" You look just like your mother" He said.

He had pictured his niece with brown hair and hazel eyes just like her mother. Make no mistake, she's even more beautiful than Tyra especially her light grey eyes that sparkles like a billion stars in the milky way. He felt an endless whirlpools drawing him as he stared at her.

Thank you, this is for you" Melissa said and handed him a letter.

Tim took the later and got emotional very quickly when he saw the handwriting and just as he was about to read it, a police officer came in with Dr Beth at that moment so he put it away.

" Hey sweetheart, how are you feeling?" she asked.

" I feel like i have ants crawling all over my body" she replied.

" That's normal, all the indicators are normal. Take your medicine in time. " Beth said and introduced the two officers.

" Good afternoon Mr Duncan, I'm officer Parker. We came here to take miss Duncan 's statement. All the defendants are saying that she's lying. They all suddenly changed their statements this afternoon in regards to child endangerment and a***e" he said

" There's CCTV cameras in the house i stayed in for the last 16 years of my life. " Mel said and took her tablet and showed them the videos she had already retrieved before those guys have a chance to delete it.

" There are over 100 footages from when i was young and i think my grandparents were present in some cases. In order to monitor my every move and to cover up his a***e, he set up the cameras and i happened to stumble upon them a few months ago. I managed to get those before the weird person who always called to check up on me called him" she said.

Tim and the two were horrified from just one video and it was from when she was 4 years old. It was brutal and the video showed all of the family members except for GG and Timothy plus that scum Thomas Humfrey. They stood there as Thomas grabbed the little by her hair and slap her . It became apparent that Lidia Duncan was involved with Thomas and was responsible for some of the trauma when Melissa was still an infant.

Timothy was shaking watching and asked for the officers to stop. They copied the footages to their phone and handed the tablet back to Mel. They left after that a few exchange of words. After they left leaving the uncle and niece in the room, it went quite. Tim was caught in his own turmoil in regards to his ignorance that led to a horrible life for his sister child.

" Uncle, where's GG?" Melissa asked after remembering that her great grandma passed away two months after saving her this time.

She went back to the ancestry village since age is catching up with her. I sent a caretaker with her and promised to visit her once you recover." Tim replied after stepping out of his self blame moment.

" No, uncle. I've been reading medical books secretly and noticed that GG didn't look well. I tried to ask her but was too weak to speak and fainted. I may not be proficient in medicine but i could tell that her condition is very serious" Mel said

" What do you mean? she looked perfectly well when i saw her" Tim said

" The reason she hasn't fought for my custody all these years was because of an illness. I overheard her and the doctor a year ago. That's the reason i was secretly taking medical classes online. Uncle you need to get her a doctor or get her to a hospital for a checkup " she sad and Tim panicked.

He stood up and made a few calls before returning back to the room.

" We are going to country D after you get discharged " Tim said as soon as he sat down.

" I have my final exams in two weeks uncle, can you contact my school examination centre and number. I skipped a few grades to avoid trouble faster." she said

" Really? I thought you were going to highschool next year." Tim said

" Normally yes but I'm a straight A student and i could've graduated a year ago but Thomas refused to sign for my exam admission procedure. He only agree earlier this year because his mistress of 30 convinced him that I'd be able to earn more money if i finished school early." Mel said and Tim was gritting his teeth after hearing that.

Mel only found out about this before she died when that bastard told her. They had been planning to extort her for everything she had while they still controlled her and then get rid of her when she is no longer of use.

" Alright, I'll contact the school now. Grandma will be here tomorrow, i lied to her so she can actually get here. You know how stubborn she is." Tim said and then they talked about a few things. Mell also gave him a plan on how to deal with those properties which impressed Timothy. His niece was a genius and she had tracked down some of the property those idiots had sold. He left after Melissa fell asleep again.
