Chapter4 -Pseudo Mate

***Luke’s POV*** I don’t know why I opened up to her like I did. I’ve never told anyone that story, and it was something that I swore I’d take to the grave. My lycan hadn’t approved of her, but he hadn’t disapproved of her either. It’s like we’re in some weird type of limbo. I’ve never heard of people having two mates unless they’re twins. I tried to clear my head by grabbing the tiny crystal glass containing my one and only love, Skyy Vodka. “You know it’s rude to walk out on people. The only other man who has walked out on me and lived is my father, and the b*stard wasn’t even my biological father. ” I turned around with a look of shock on my face. “Do you know who your biological father is?” I don’t think I’ve ever sounded nervous when talking to a female. She c*cked her head to the side as if she was thinking about something. “Do you know that Youtuber GotDamnZoe?” I nodded my head. “So you should know about that video where he said, “Girl shut the f*ck up I don’t got to explain sh*t to you.” Because that’s my answer to your question.” She winked at me while taking my drink from me and downing it in one go. My jaw almost dropped through the floorboards into the pits of h*ll. She didn’t even flinch; I swear she’s my sleep paralysis demon. ***Jessica’s POV*** It was from the strength of the goddess that I didn’t flinch or anything when I drank his vodka. Anyone who knows me knows that I’m lighter than your regular run of the mill lightweight. For f*cks sake, I can smell any type of hard liquor, and I’ll be falling over! But my hardheaded a*s refused to let him or anyone see that it affected me. I still remember what my adoptive mom always told me. She always said, “Never let a b*ch see you sweat.” and I keep that energy with males and especially females. Because some of y’all b*tches be forgetting who tf you’re talking to. I was so lost in my thoughts that I wasn’t paying attention to where I was going until I caught a whiff of rogues. My lycan, Brianna's fur spiked up as she pushed forward making her presence known. One out of the three shifted back into his human form. “Awe, if it isn’t a little she-wolf all by herself.” He had a disgusting smirk on his face while slowly eyeing me up and down. “Listen, I’ve had a rough couple of months, so I’m not in the mood to fight. Normally, I would love to rip throats or hearts out or practice torture techniques, but not today.” All I could hear was Brianna cackling in my head when one of the wolves flattened his ears down and tucked his tail between his legs. “Awe, your friend is scared. What’s that I smell? Oh, a p*ssy b*tch.” The wolf flashed his canines at me while leaning back so he could lunge at me. Within seconds, I gave Brianna control. ***Brianna’s POV*** There’s nothing that makes me happier than scaring people when they see me, especially since lycans are believed to be extinct. While I was antagonizing that one wolf, one of his buddies decided to try to sneak me. Without taking my eyes off of the other two wolves, I catch him by the throat. “What type of man are you? Are you that much of a big b*tch that you couldn’t fight a female head on. Let me guess, your daddy wasn’t in your life as a kid? Poor you; you never had anyone to teach you how to be a man. Now look at you, a sorry excuse for a wolf. Oops, I mean ROGUE wolf, I guess your pack didn’t want you, kind of like how your dad didn’t.” I made sure I had the most sarcastic, smart a*s smirk on my face. If I’ve learned anything from what I was taught growing up, it is that your opponent fights wild and messy when their feelings get the best of them. It was proven true when he started wildly jumping, swinging, and growling. I was dodging everything he threw at me with ease, which only angered him further. Suddenly, I felt something prick my neck. It was then that I saw their supposed leader sticking a syringe into my neck. Against my will, Jessica was forcefully given control. This caught both of us off guard since we’ve almost always given each other control. ***Jessica’s POV*** It was such a weird feeling. Never have I forcefully taken control, I don’t know how long, but we’ve always have had a mutual understanding. It’s not often that we forcefully take control, but neither of us fought for control this time. It was like someone gave it to me by force. Because of that, I was caught off balance, which temporarily gave them the upper hand. Before I knew it, my body started to give out. I dropped to my knees, but before I could fall onto my face, the leading a*shole caught me by my hair. “The almighty lycan has fallen!” The amount of mockery in his tone made me want to end his entire bloodline. At that point, I didn’t care about who it was; it could be a small child, but they’d have to pay for the mistakes of their loved ones, even the pups. ***Jessica’s POV*** My rage toward Ivan started to come out, and I blacked out. The only thing I saw was blood, and I wanted my enemy’s blood, every single drop of it. Although I thought it probably wasn’t right to make others pay for someone else’s sins, but I didn’t care. I dove at one of the wolves and started tearing into them. I was blinded with rage, tearing into every single bit of them. It wasn’t until someone dragged me off that I realized what I had done. Completely stunned, I looked at the minuscule pieces of their flesh. My heart almost stopped when I looked into the eyes of the person who stopped me. “Ivan?”
