CHAPTER 27: UNSTABLE POWER

They proceeded to the infirmary upon reaching the campus. They saw Sirie at the door, nervous while peeking inside the infirmary.
"Sirie, what happened?" Czarina asked.
"Please help my brother," she said while crying. "He's been like that for days. He said his body is in pain and he can't move his lower body."
They could hear the sound of a short circuit inside the infirmary.
"I need to see him," Master Kenjie said.
"You might get hurt!" Sirie stopped him.
Czarina held Sirie's hand. "Sirie, let him see your brother. He knows what he is doing."
Sirie has a doubt that she wants to save his brother from his pain. She nodded as a sign of agreement.
Master Kenjie placed his hands on his back, then he walked in. Czarina and Kev followed the master, while the others remained outside.
Master Kenjie observed Valk. The electricity is running through his body, and hits everything around. The infirmary is messed up, and the nurse to cover under the table. "M-my healing power is not enough to help him."
"You may leave now," he said to the nurse. The nurse quickly ran outside the infirmary.
Master Kenjie placed his palm on top of Valk's mid-section. Electricity flowed from his palm towards the Valk's qi source.
"I see. Sirie, come here," he called Valk's sister.
She entered the infirmary. "Yes, Sir?"
"Did he overwork his body and use his power non-stop in these past few days?"
Sirie nodded. "Y-yes. He always practices even back home. Lately, he feels he was not good enough, that's why he kept on practicing his electricity at the back of the school."
"Lack of rest and excessive use of power will lead to blockage, which in his case, his qi could not flow smoothly, hence creating a short circuit through his veins. Qi flows in a precise manner through the twelve regular meridians or channels. His qi from the chest area along the three arm Yin channels is blocked."
"What can we do, Master? Please, help my brother," Sirie begged.
"I can help him remove the blockage now, but he needs to stop using his power for one week. He can only do meditation, that's it," he said it with conviction.
"I-I will tell him once he wakes up..."
Master Kenjie brings out a set of acupuncture needles and opens it. He used the needles on the Spleen channel points. He concentrated on Valk's qi pool,then released his energy to remove the blockage.
"Ah..." Valk moaned as he cried in pain. Sweat is all over his face.
"Brother!" She was about to reach for his brother but Czarina stopped her.
"Let him finish the treatment, I trust him." Czarina gripped tight on Sirie's arm.
It took a while before Valk stopped moaning. He fell into a deep sleep and he snored. The electricity discharge stopped.
"He is fine now. Remember my instruction. He should not use his power in one week. His body needs a complete rest and out of stress." Master Kenjie took out a bottle from his space ring. "Here. Let him take one drop every six hours. It will help regaining his energy."
"T-thank you, Sir, for helping my brother. We owe you a lot." Sirie wiped the tears flowing down her cheeks.
"Call me Master Ken," he said. "Tell him he will be my disciple from now on." He turned around and walked out of the infirmary.
"Thank you, Master. I will." Sirie went closer to her brother.
"Here, brother, one drop every six hours. I should not forget it. You are the only one I have. I don't want to lose you."
"Stay here for now with your brother, Sirie. We will go out now." Czarina signaled Yin to follow her. They both left the infirmary.
"Let's all rest for now," Kev said. "Our classes will resume tomorrow."
The queen returned to the palace using the magical black cloak. She went straight to her own room which no one could enter without her permission, even the king. This was her room before marrying the king.
She locked the door and quickly removed her overall cover. "I need to create something that will end the life of Kev without traces. I also need to find that woman and her baby. I am not sure if they are dead or not." She lit the candle using her dark magic power. No one knows her real power. She cast a spell so she could also control snow like the king's spiritual element and fool everyone. She suddenly recalled what happened in the past.
She went to the Zariste Kingdom twenty years ago. It was part of their long plan to penetrate the kingdom. She claimed she lives from far away land and that she crossed with dark forces and escaped. She used her beauty and charm to make the king fall for her, and that made the king marry her. They had twins, Loi and Stefan. After giving birth to them, she excused herself to the king to go back home to visit her family. The truth was, she returned to Nedostojan to visit her lover, Reji, the current ruler of the Nedos clan. No one knows they are lovers, but cousins, since she was adopted by Reji's parents when she was seven years old. She got pregnant that time, so she remained on the island for ten months. She went back to the palace a few weeks after giving birth.
On the day she returned, she found out that the king's second wife was five pregnant with Kev, and he brought in another woman as his third wife. The king said the gods chose the woman as his third wife. He also said that the possible next ruler of the Zariste Kingdom is about to be born. She was furious when she heard it. She was not sure which child the king was referring to, but she is sure she wants to eliminate both of them.
She took a black book and cast a spell. "By the power of the dark forces, let the black shadow roam around the city and find that woman for me. Her name is..." She forgot the name of the king's lost wife again. That has been her problem, she was never good with names. She thought of her as another threat to the throne, just like Kev's and Ivana's mothers. She ordered assassination, but it failed.
"Just find the woman in my mind and her child." She thought of the face of the woman. "Find her!"
Three dark shadows appeared from the candle light. They circled the queen before going out of the window. The queen made an evil laugh.
