I pull up in front of Ben’s house and park, not entirely sure what I should do next. Ben looks at me from the passenger seat, his face illuminated with the orange glow from the street light beaming in the windshield. “I’d ask you to come inside,” he smirks, “but I don’t want you to think I’m cheap.”       I laugh, despite my nerves, and shake my head. He makes it so easy to relax around him. “I should probably go,” I say with a touch of regret. “It’s getting late and Tone’s coming over early tomorrow. We’ve got a billion things to get done for the gender reveal party next weekend.”       He smiles, and I imagine he looks a little disappointed, but he leans towards me, his face cast in shadows.
