9. Runaway Models

Aspen POV

"If you dare to make any stupid move Layla, I will tell everyone that Blake and I were ex mates!" I threatened her. "Now you choose between keeping it a secret or punishing Eva?" I threatened with a fierce look on my face and not missing a single beat. I knew how hard she's trying to cover her little dirty secret. Of course she doesn't want a slight stain on her reputation which to me is already very bad. She doesn't want anyone judging her.

"Are you just threatening me?" She asked with an unbelievable look on her face. She seemed greatly taken back by my audacity as her mouth parted with wide shock.

"I'm fine with however you try to interpret this! As long as I am able to pass my message across I am fine with it!"

"The nerve of you!" She raised her hands which had swiftly changed into long and sharp claws and aimed for my face. I immediately grabbed her hands to stop her. She had intentionally aimed for my face knowing fully well that I couldn't heal very fast.

"By the way, I wouldn't act impulsively if I were you, Layla!"

"How dare you call me impulsive, you wench! Do you still think you are still the beta's daughter or perhaps do you think you are still his mate!" Her voice was incredibly low because she didn't want anyone hearing the last part.

"No Layla, I am acting impulsive because I know fully well that I am an omega now! Do I have to remember how far the news travels amongst the omegas?" She winced and her brows furrowed deeply.

"I guess not! Now do yourself a favor and leave! I wonder how mommy Stella will react once she hears about you despite her behavior!" I continued, rubbing more salt to her wound and slowly watched her wilther in pain.

"She's already aware of Aspen!" She had a proud smirk on her lips. "And she's very pleased that I was able to get rid of a stench like you!" She added the last part with her chin lifted up.

"I expect nothing less from her, after all you are trailing her path." Now was my time to smirk and she looked very pissed. The next second, she stomped her foot on the ground before turning to leave.

I immediately rushed back to Eva who sat on the floor like a pathetic mess and weeping her heart out.

"I'm sorry Eva, I'm sorry that this had to happen!" I sympathized with her and even had her light pay on her back.

"He's in pain right now, in great pain! I can feel it!" She wailed whilst clutching her shirt tightly.

"It's going to be fine Eva!" I tried to reassure her.

"No it's not! It's not fine that he's in great pain and I can do nothing to help him! Aspen my heart is in shambles right now, I shouldn't have let him do this.

We shouldn't have embarked on this. He didn't have to endure all this suffering alone!" She yelled out loud. At this point, my heart began to thump loudly in my chest.

Her sobs were getting louder and louder and I am afraid that she might blurt out something bad and that might rile up the alpha or Stella.

"I completely understand your situation right now!" I hugged her very close to my chest.

"By the way, thank you for standing up for me! Thank you for protecting me from that horrible witch!" She sniffled silently.

"No biggie!" I caressed her cheeks with the back of my palm. "let's get out of here before someone else's sees is and comes to make a fuss!" I said and fortunately she agreed.

We were soon inside our quarters and of course all the omegas were perched on their bunks gossiping about the incident. Chloe was their ring leader and to my surprise Lily had been released and she had this killer look on her face.

"Hey runaway girl!" She mouthed and everyone bursted into laughter. I didn't miss the hurt expression on her face but she held it all in and had a confident look on her face which I liked.

"If Chloe or Lily ever ran away from this pack, they wouldn't be called runaway girls, they would be called RUNAWAY MODELS!" Hannah giggled out loud. The moment that our eyes met, she ran her hands through her soft black curls nervously.

"They wouldn't even be caught! Don't be clumsy!' another girl caught in and then another round of laughter.

Chloe walked up straight to Eva and grabbed her bag before rummaging through it and scattering her clothes all over the ground.

"Poor little bag, had to go through a rough adventure!" Lily mouthed whilst dramatically grabbing her bag from Chloe.

"It needs to be thoroughly washed Lily or you start having nightmares about running away!" She threw a joke and the room echoed with bolts of laughter. I slowly walked up to Eva and held her hands before helping her with the clothes.

"And you Aspen…will ever regret running your filthy mouth when it wasn't needed!" She glared at me with full bossiness in her tone. If looks could kill, then I would be buried ten feets below where I stood right now.

"You know what! I only regret not doing one thing…" I paused and that seemed to gain the attention of the nosy omegas in the room. Each of them was curious about what I'd say next or what happens next.

"It is not running it enough for you both to stay next to each other in the dungeons!" I stated, my voice clearly echoing through the entire omega quarters.
