CHAPTER SIX Ilse was impressed by the sheer size of Carlisle’s Beauty Salon. Plus, the upscale hairdresser’s came complete with live entertainment. A faint, crooning voice drifted through the parlor, accompanying the light blues music humming from the speakers hidden throughout the salon.
