CHAPTER SEVEN Ilse could no longer avoid the town of Leavenworth. Devon Gibson lived smack dab in the center of one of the upscale, cul-de-sac subdivisions. The backyard faced mountains, and she heard the bubbling jacuzzi as they pulled into the driveway. The town itself, in the rearview mirror, exactly reflected some of her own memories from her childhood. Bavarian architecture, small, quaint.
