I don't know what is was, but seeing this girl walk down the halls with her lips between here teeth had me adjusting my pants like the pig I really am.
She looked lost, and I took that as my cue to help her. I took long strides in her direction, not bothering to bid my friends farewell. A shy nerd began to walk towards and i grab his backpack, flinging him behind me before pinning him with a glare.
"Need help?" I question, and her head snaps up to meet my eyes, a look of relief crossing them.
"Oh, actually I do. I didn't have time to find my locker this morning, and these numbers are really-"
"Ms. Lettermen! A word please." Our homeroom teacher, Mrs. Holden interrupts and Greene sighs.
"Give me a second."
"How about you hand me your paper and bag, and i'll take care of it for you? It's lunch anyway. I'll just walk you to it after." Her eyes light up.
"Really?" I nod, smiling softly. She hands me her stuff before flashing me a dazzling grin.
"Thanks." I stood there like an i***t before snapping out of it and scolding myself.

"Change this locker to the one next to mine." I inform the organizer and she glares at me.
"Mr. Gourd-"
"Just do it Carol, before I tell dad about your little adventures." She once again scowls at me before making the arrangements.
She prints out the new form before shoving it at me and I smile.
"You are just too kind." I say sweetly before walking off to my locker.
The combination was on the paper, and I open up the door before rolling my eyes at the geek now next to me.
At least I don't have to throw all of us stuff on the floor.
"Here's your new locker." I State, handing him the numbers. "Clear out quickly." He does as he's told and I lean against them, watching him practically sprint down the hall.
I begin placing Greene's stuff inside before shutting it and walking towards the direction i last saw her in.
"Teddy, man, did you see Jasmine this morning? She looks hot." One of my football acquaintances, Freddy says walking along side of me says and i grunt.
"Great, why don't you take a chance?"
"I thought she was yours?" His eyes widen and I shrug.
"Not anymore." I quicken my pace, seeing Greene still in a conversation with the teacher. She always had a mouth on her.
Jasmine was the closet thing i had to a girlfriend. She was hot. Blue eyes and long black hair and a cheerleader build, but she was too much.
She was unkind and bitchy, always willing to throw someone under the bus for herself. On top of that she was clingy and spoilt. The only reason we even had this on and off thing was because life got boring and she was great in bed.
That was about it.
"So, Saturday?"
"Saturday." Greene confirms as she turns to look at me.
"Hey new friend." She teases as she comes next to me and I smirk.
"What's happening on Saturday?"
"Oh, I'm behind on my hours. . I'm coming here to help out in the library." She explains and I nod, happy that I finally have plans for the weekend.
I lead her into the cafeteria where she immediately takes a stand behind the last person in the line.
There I stood, my head beating quickly in my chest as she turns towards me.
"I'm sure you know my name, what's yours?"
"Teddy." I answer immediately and she smiles softly.
"Aww." She coos and with any other person I would've glowered at them, but with her, I couldn't. "Well at least you didn't getting some odd name like Greene, what the heck dad." She giggles and I let out a chuckle. She takes two slices of pizza, with a packet of gummy bears and a can of Dr. Pepper.
"Who still drinks these?" I tease and she scoffs, playfully glaring at me.
"They sell them here don't they? So people must obviously drink them." She had a point.
It was my turn to order and as usual, i took more than I could eat, but it wasn't my fault i'm a growing boy.
"How do you guys eat food in your weight and still not gain any?"
"There's this thing called 'working out', maybe you should try." Her mouth drops open as we walk towards an empty table.
"Did you just indirectly call me fat?"
"Oh. . I- well- i didnt-" She bursts out laughing and I glare at her playfully.
"No, its okay. I agree with you. Compared to the girls here I must look like a whale to you." She chuckles softly and I frown as she avoids my gaze. Obviously, even if she doesn't show it much, it was an insecurity.
"Hey, no comparing. You're beautiful just the way you are, and fat isn't something i'd choose to call your curves." I let my gaze r****h her body and she smacks my arm, a small giggle leaving her mouth.
"Thanks." She says, a genuine small on her face.
"You're welcome." There I go again with the mushy stuff and googly eyes. What has gotten into you Teddy! This is not you!
"You know, I thought you-" a gasp finishes Greene's sentence as a pile of red tomato sauce falls all over her.
"You're not only a freak, but a w***e. Stay away from my boyfriend new girl. Or you'll get what's coming for you."
