When she was laid back on the pillows, she said, “You keep calling me ‘my Lady’. I am afraid there is some mistake. My name is Shaldon – Miss Romara Shaldon.” To her surprise, Mrs. Fellows hesitated. Then she said, “His Lordship said that I could tell your Ladyship, if you asked, that you are in fact Lady Ravenscar.” Romara stared at her with her one eye in surprise, then decided that it must be a case of mistaken identity.
