She walked out of the room closing the door behind her Daniel looked up at her and smiled. She returned his smile awkwardly, walking down the corridor.
Break passed no one had seen her not even Connor she’d missed English and that wasn’t like her.
Connor sat next to Autumn.
“So where you been you weren’t in lesson.”
“Detention.”
“How come?”
“Dormston, kept the whole class back. He wasn’t pleased that no one was paying attention to his lesson.’
“Oh.”
They all went outside for a cigarette there was a chill in the air, the bell rang and they all said there goodbyes heading for registration.
Daniel and Autumn walked into their last lesson. They sat down on their seats near the back of the room.
“Well here’s your next piece of course work as promised you’ve got till winter break to finish it.”
“Hey guys.” Con said slipping his arm around Autumn kissing her cheek.
“Con.”
“We have another assignment to do together.”
“Gee he must’ve really liked the last.”
“I think it’s due to the rack me and Autumn work well togeher instead of working with on if those air head whores who just want to get in your d**k instead of getting good grades.”
“And you’d know about that wouldn’t you Dan?”
He hair hid eyes and they walked out of school meeting up with their friends walking home saying their goodbyes.
Connor looked at Autumn. “So have we got this weekend to ourselves.”
“At the minute, yeah, me and Dan can start the assignment next week. We’ve got a month to complete it.”
He smiled moving forward. “I’ll see you tomorrow.”
“Okay.”
He kissed her softly. “Night babe.”
“Night Con.”
He walked away as she lit a cigarette.
He kissed her cheek. “Good evening babe.”
“Gaz.”
“You okay?”
“We need to talk.”
“Okay let’s sit down.”

They walked across the bridge sitting in the grass.
“So what’s wrong, Autumn?”
“I don’t think we should see each other again.”
“We’re not on this again are we?”
“Yes we are!”
“I told you, tell your mom the truth Autumn.”
“I can’t.”
“You can. We’ve been seeing each other for almost a month. Tell her or I will.”
“No you can’t.”
“I will if you won’t.”
“I..”
“One week and I’m telling her about us.”
She swallowed
He leaned forward. “I really like you babe the only way we’re going to get to know each other better is by you telling your mom so we don’t have to keep secretly meeting one another.” He moved closer, pressing his lips on hers kissing her passionately.
29th November
Autumn really didn’t want to go to school today, but she knew that she had to keep good grades and up to date with all of her school work. She was glad it would be Saturday tomorrow when she could finally relax a little nice she’d done all of her homework. Her and Con were meeting up then they were all going to the cinema there wasn’t much to do around here now the winter was soon approaching them and it was growing colder and colder. She dressed for school though she was clearly not looking forward to it. She’d had enough these last few months trying to let go of her past.
At least she wouldn’t have to relive it well till Monday anyway at these next few days she could relax.
Daniel stood by the bridge waiting and hoping that Autumn would be alone. She was.
“No Con?”
“He’s meeting me here.”
“So are you looking forward to the flicks tomorrow?”
“I guess.”
“I heard it was a smash at the box office in America and London can’t wait to see it.”
“What kind of film is it?”
“Horror it’s R rated, so you best have fake ID.”
“I do.”
“Wow you surprise me Red.”
“My brother knew someone in the Netherlands.”
“Cool.”
Connor bounced over to them smiling. “You s**t the bed?”
“No like to get up bright and early me.”
“Sure you do. Morning babe.” He said, kissing her in the cheek.
“Con.”
“So what you talking about?”
“The movie.”
“Sounds cool hope you’ve got your ID.” He cracked.
“Always, have you?”
“Never leave the house without it.”
“Let’s hope the guys don’t forget there’s.”
“Let’s hope.. He looked at Autumn, “I’m sorry babe, we should have told you it’s an eighteen but you won’t need any ID with all the slap you put on!”He cracked smiling winking.
“Actually.…”
Dan interrupted her. “Actually, she had fake ID.”
“You do?” He said, surprisingly shocked.
“I do.”
A smile appeared across his face. “Cool.”
“We best get going, Con.”
“Sure babe.”
Connor placed his arm round Autumn, pulling her close and they all walked away heading to school.
“So are we still on for the flick tomorrow?”
“We are.”
“Cool.”Jae looked at Autumn. “I hope you’ll look sexy babe you won’t get in like that.”
“She doesn’t need to look sexy Jae. She just needs to look the part. I’m sure you can do that can’t you, Autumn?”
“I’m sure.”
They all went into the school as the bell rang saying their goodbyes before registration.
Autumn sat down the dark haired, green eyed male sat next to her. She looked at him. “Hey red.”
“Hey Stenton.”
He smiled. “So what you doing this weekend?”
“Hanging with Con. we’re all going to the cinema.”
“Really what you going to see? I might join you.”
“A new horror.”
He lowered his voice. “Are you serous Red? If your talking about the one I think you’re talking about, it’s a R rated movie. You know violence, s*x and gore.”
“I know.”
“You’re crazy, how are you even going to get in?”
She stared darkly.
“I’ll pretend I never had this conversation with you.”
“You should come.”
“I wish I could, but been the son of a detective everyone seems o get to know who you are and how old you are.”
“The offers there.”
“Thanks anyway, but I’m going to have to decline.”
“Sure.”
“Right class, settle down and we’ll begin.”
The bell rang for the end of the lesson they all picked up their belongings walking out of the room.
“Hey Red wait up.”
She looked at him, daint this guy know when to quit? “What is it Stenton?”
“Dont get caught okay?” He said, kissing her cheek
“I won’t.”
“I’ll catch you later.”
“Sure.”
He walked away.
Connor looked over. “Stenton isn’t bothering you again is he?”
“No, I invited him to the movie Saturday “
“Are you f*****g crazy? He’s dad a cop he’ll skin him alive and for us that matter.”
“Chill Con, he declined and said he’d keep it to himself.”
“He better.”
“He will. I trust him.”

“I thought he was your friend?”
“He is, don’t mean to say I trust him”

“Come on or we’ll be late.”
They went into their next class sitting down, pulling their books out Connor looking at Autumn, was there something she wasn’t telling him?
The bell rang and they all packed away soothing out of the room Connor dropped his arm over her shoulders. She flinched.
“You okay Con?”
“Yeah fine.”
“Don’t look it?”
“Autumn invited Stenton to the flicks.”
“Seriously, are you in- f*****g- sain Autumn?’
“Clearly she is have you forgot His dad’s a cop.’

“He won’t say anything. I trust him.”

The bell rang. They all doubted out their cigarettes. Going into their last lesson before lunch,
Connor pinned Stenton before their last lesson before lunch his eyes cold and blank. “Con what gives?”
“I hope. I can trust you to keep your trap shut.”

“Let’s hope so.”
“Just take care of her okay, she’s not you I don’t want getting in s**t because if you.”
“You’re all cynical all of a sudden Stenton anyone would think you had enough feelings for her.”
“No I don’t she’s my corned. And we all know you can’t stay out of s**t Con you’ll end up having a record if you’re not careful.”’

“She’s not you Con. what will happen if you get banged up Con? Where will she be and who will be the one to take care of her Mmh?”
“Connor Harborne, Jonah Stenton lesson now!!”
“You’re not jealous are you? Con.”
“Not with you that’s for sure.”
“I’m not the only one who likes her Con and you can’t keep protecting her forever.”

They walked into the class sitting down.
The bell rang for lunch.
