Connor met Autumn and his friends for lunch still vexed. They chose not to ask eating before they went out side for a cigarette he stood smoking angrily. Before the bell went he took Autumns hand pulling her with him. “Wowh Con what’s the rush. You left Dan behind.” “He can catch up.” He pulled her close. He pressed his lips on hers kissing her hungrily with tongue. He moved away. “What was all that about Con?” “Your mine Autumn he’s not having you.” “Who?” “Stenton.” “What’s going on Con?” “I promise I won’t ever get locked up.” “Whats brought this on?” “Something that Stenton said.’ “Why what did he say?’ “Gee Con what’s the rush?” Daniel asked, out of breath. “Nought.” “You has a lesson with Stenton right?” “How did you guess?” “Your on fire Con. We’ve been calling you from like ten minutes. What did he say?” “Plenty.” “Come on, we best get to registration.” “The guys said they’d meet us by the gates.” “Sure.” He leaned over to Autumn. “I promise I’ll never leave you.” He moved away and they all walked away to registration then into their last two lessons. Autumn looking out of the window wondering what the hell was wrong with Con she’d never seen him like that before his eyes scared her so cold, so hollow, so glazed. “You still with us Miss. Cleveland?” “Yeah.” The bell rang for end of lesson and the end of another day. She walked out of school meeting Connor and the others. He dropped his arm over her before they all walked away. Saying their goodbyes. “I’ll see you two tomorrow.” “Sure Dan, laterz.” “Yeah, bye Dan.” Daniel walked away. Connor looked at Autumn. “You okay Con, just today you didn’t seem your normal self.” “I’m sorry Autumn we all know Stenton. He just knows how to push it and how to keep pushing it to make you snap.” “I can handle him, Con.” “Maybe, but I’d like to take care of you.” “I can take care of myself, Con.” “I know.” He pulled her close. “I hope we can be more than what we are now. I know your not ready for anything heavy but in time you might be.’ He leaned forward pressing his lips on her kissing her hungrily with tongue. He moved away. ’I’ll meet you here tomorrow at three okay.” “Okay.” “I’ll see you later, babe.” “Yeah later, Con.” He walked away as she looked over the lake she hoped they could be friends without any complications. She knew how he felt and what he wanted, but could she ever give it to him? 30th November Connor met autumn at the lake siting down. “So, did you do your homework?” “Yeah most of it.” “Cool, we’re meeting the guys around one and having lunch before ewe head of the cinema.” “Okay.” “You don’t seem so sure.” “I’m fine, Con.” “It’ll be cool babe we do it all the time.” He smiled. “Okay.” “You’ve done it before right seem as you have fake ID.” “Yeah along time ago. They sat on each other’s company silently till Connor broke the silence. “Come on babe, let’s make tracks the guys will be waiting.” They pulled themselves up and he dropped his arm over her shoulders and they walked away. They met their friends out side the burger bar. “About time Jae’s erupting.” They all laughed goof in the burger bar ordering six double stackers with fires and milkshakes. They sat down eating their lunch. “So are you looking forward to the movie?” “Can’t wait.” They all nodded in agreement. “What about you, Autumn?” “Sounds good.” “So you don’t like horror’s?” “Love them.” “Let’s make a bet who ever pukes first pays forcall of us next time.” “Agreed.” “Autumn, you in?” “Of course.” They smiled they had to see they call bet against her reckoning she’d be the first to fall and bail before the movie ended to throw her guts up. She snuck her head if only they knew.’ The payed for their tickets the cashier examining their ID’s before they went in they all sat at the back of the cinema, Autumn found her self been squashed in between Connor and Daniel yet agian. They slumped in boredom as the the credits and adverts rolled they all watched the gore horror and Autumn watched wide eyed watching with a deep satisfaction upon her face knowing they had lost their bet. They all walked out James was the first to rim to the men’s to throw up followed by Ash and Harry. Connor and Daniel laughed. “Well that’s a first we all thought it would be you babe.” “Yeah how’d you do it Red?” “I’ve been watching horror moves since I was ten they amused me at first I was scared but I got to in grossed in them to fear them.’ “But, that, that was gross.” “I know. I’ve became to have a high tolerance mechanism to blood and gore.” “You sure showed us Red.’ “You sure did babe.” “How long does you think they’ll be?” “Who knows.” “When they stop reaching.” Connor and Daniel smiled laughing. “Maybe we should’ve took a video.” “Yeah.” They smiled laughing hysterically. James, Ash and Harry walked out of the men’s rather green. “You guys look like..” “Death.” Connor and Daniel laughed. “f**k off!” “Guess you’ll be paying for the next movie?” “Or the next three.” Daniel said, laughing. “Can we just get out of here?” “Sure.” Connor said, still laughing. They all walked out. “So where to next?” “We’re calling it a day.” “Pussy.” “f**k you!” “We’re off, we’ll see you Monday.” “Sure.” They all walked away Connor and Daniel were still laughing. “So where to now?” Autumn asked, cutting their laughter short. “We’ll just hang and get a pizza or something .” “Sure.” They all walked away hanging around the town and grabbing a pizza before sitting by the lake. ‘So what are are your plans for tomorrow?’ “Autumn and I are hanging out.” “Cool. So, you won’t mind if me and Red hang next weekend? We have a project to do.” “Not at all as long as we share?” Autumn looked dead at him. “I mean as long as I can have time with you too?” She nodded. “Well I’ve got to head home so I’ll catch you two Monday.” “You will later, Dan.” “Later Con.” He said, pulling himself up. Looking at Autumn. “Later Red.” “Bye Dan.” He walked away. “Alone at last.’” She tuned he pounced forward slamming his lips on hers kissing her hungrily.; he moved away pulling her close. Her head resting in her shoulder.
