ASK HER OUT.
Cooper hardly slept last night. He kept on tossing and turning in bed. All that he could think about is his encounter with Juliana.
He could feel it. He could feel that he was falling in love with her.
How was this possible? He had thought that he would never get over his ex-girlfriend but it turns out that he was wrong.
Cooper wished that he could kiss Juliana. He wished that he could tell her the truth and be in love with her because life is too short to wait for a perfect time. He wanted to start a life with her already.
Eventually, Cooper managed to sleep. When he woke up in the morning, he went back to thinking about Juliana. Today is the launch of her bakery.
He really wanted to be there and give her a banquet of flowers for a job well done but he couldn't do that.
He is not supposed to move on so quickly. What will the people say? They will tend to believe that he did not love his ex-girlfriend.
To clear his mind, Cooper decided to do what he loved most and that is going for a hike. This will really help him a great deal to forget all about Juliana.
Cooper hiked the entire day. It really worked to get Juliana out of his mind. However, he started thinking about her again when he met with his friend Jax for a couple of drinks.
"Cooper you have that glow," Jax said after they took their first shot of the night.
"What glow?" Cooper arched his eyebrows up in confusion as he asked. He did not know what Jax was talking about.
"The glow that comes when someone is in love," Jax told him.
"No," Cooper gushed. He had done the most to try and get Juliana out of his mind. Why was this happening especially now that he is in front of Jax?
"I can see it in your eyes. So, don't lie to me. Start spilling the details already," Jax urged.
Cooper was not ready to talk about Juliana to anyone but since he could trust Jax, he decided to do it anyway. Maybe he had a tip that would help him to forget about her completely.
"Okay, there is this girl I met yesterday. I know that it is such a short time to make a conclusion but the truth is that, I think that I am in love with her," Cooper said after sipping his gin.
"This is what I have been wanting to hear since …" Jax paused. He did not want to creep up bitter memories.
"Come on, don't go there," Cooper urged.
"You have your entire life ahead of you. You deserve to live. This is a second chance that you have been given to be happy," Jax told him.
"I will be betraying my ex-girlfriend," Cooper raised his concern.
"Trust me, this is what she would want for you. Just take the step and get the girl of your dreams. What is her name again?" Jax asked.
"Her name is Juliana," Cooper said with a smile. The thought of her alone brought him so much joy.
"Get her my guy. This is what is meant to be. Love is a beautiful thing. You deserve a second chance in it," Jax said.
"Thank you. I will ask her out," Cooper made a decision.
"Yes! That is exactly what I am talking about," Jax was so excited for his friend.
"Wait, what about Dorah, how is she holding up?" Jax asked.
"She is fine actually. She healed so fast. She kept on coming to check on me to ensure that I was okay too," Cooper said.
"Wait, what if she cares for you. I have seen the way she looks at you," Jax mumbled.
"Who Dorah? No! Dorah is just a great friend. Plus, I have never felt anything for her. She is like my sister. I knew her since she was little," Cooper explained. He wondered why Jax could say such a thing. Honestly, he never thought that Dorah looked at him in that sense.
"You are overreacting," He added.
"Dude, I know what i'm saying. Dorah might be in love with you," Jax insisted.
"No! Let's talk about Juliana. She is the only one I care about. Tell me, where should I take her for our first date?" Cooper asked for advice.
**
"I will never get close with Cooper. Never!" Juliana swore. She was not going to do anything to sabotage her relationship with Dorah yet she had been with her through thick and thin.
"Are you sure about this?" Dorah asked. She was not expecting a quick answer from her.
"Yes, I am sure. You matter to me. He is no one really. Trust me," Juliana said with a small smile playing on her lips and Dorah decided to give her the benefit of doubt.
Dorah watched as Juliana closed the bakery. She didn't know if what she was about to say would get a yes from her or not.
"Thank you for today," Juliana thanked her.
"Thank you for allowing me to be your friend," Dorah said.
"By the way, let's go out," Dorah decided to say what was on her heart.
"Really?" Juliana had never gone out to a club or something. She did not have someone who asked her out before.
"Yes, let us celebrate our friendship and how today was a success in the bakery," Dorah added and Juliana was all in.
Today had been great and she definitely deserves to celebrate.
"Okay, say less," Juliana was all in.
"Let us give ourselves one hour to prepare. We will meet here at exactly 8:00pm and I will take you to the best club in Virgin River," Dorah said and Juliana excited.
"Yaay!" She said in excitement.
The two friends hugged and they went separate ways.
Juliana was so happy to have chosen to come to Virgin River. Finally, her bakery is a success and in addition to that, she has a very good friend.
Even though Dorah warned her against it, Juliana could not help but think about Cooper. He wondered why he did not come to buy a treat from her bakery.
