CHAPTER 8

1024 Words
NIGHT OUT. Before the thoughts escalated, Juliana quickly recalled of the promise that she had made to her friend Dorah and that made her stop thinking about Cooper completely. Cooper is Dorah's boyfriend. She needs to find her own boyfriend. Shoving those thoughts aside, Juliana thought of the future of her bakery just before she got to her house. She was so excited for a night out. She had heard that going out with friends is a very good experience and she felt lucky to experience it tonight with her friend Dorah. Juliana got into the shower and turned it on. She showered as she sang along to her favourite song that boomed on the stereo. She decided to look good tonight. She tied her hair in a neat bun and went ahead to apply, lipstick, mascara and a layer of foundation. Putting her little black dress on and a nude wedge, she was ready to step out. The black dress articulated her figure very well. She was so pretty tonight. She could already feel it. Tucking her Denri clutch under her arms, she stepped out of the house. The bakery was not far away hence she walked there hoping to find Dorah. She couldn't wait to get into the club and have a good time. Dorah was looking around hoping that Juliana would show up anytime from now when she saw her. Damn! She was so beautiful in that little black little dress. "Is everything okay? You look startled," Juliana told Dorah when she realised that she had been looking at her without even blinking. "I am fine. You look beautiful by the way," Dorah complimented her. " You look so beautiful too. " Juliana told her but Dorah did not believe it. If she was that beautiful as Juliana says, then Cooper would have fallen for her. He had done the most to be with him but Cooper had not popped the, will you be my girlfrien, question. "Thanks, we should be going. The club is just down the street," Dorah announced and the two ladies headed to the club. Dorah had every right to doubt Juliana because of her beauty but she chose to trust her. She had given her her word and Dorah decided to trust it. She also knew that the more that she becomes a good friend to her, then it was going to be so difficult for Juliana to betray her. She was going to hold this up until Cooper finally asks her out. "So, are you going to look for someone new to love?" Dorah asked Juliana. " Honestly, yes. I really want to be madly in love with someone. I want to have it all, friendship and relationship," Juliana was honest with her. "Say no more, I am going to help you find that person. You deserve love my friend," Dorah told her. " Thank you, I really appreciate," Juliana said. " What are friends for. I can literally do anything for you," Dorah promised. " Me too. I love you friend," Juliana said. " I love you too," Dorah replied. ** I am going to have one last drink before I go over to the bakery and ask her out," Cooper promised his friend Jax. " Okay," Jax said. Cooper sipped his gin once more as he looked around when he suddenly spotted them. Dorah walked into the club in company of Juliana. Heck! Juliana was so sexy and pretty. Cooper found himself drooling. He couldn't wait for them to be in a relationship. He had to do something or else someone else will notice her and ask her out. He couldn't help but be proud of Dorah. Dorah always listened to him. She went ahead to help Juliana in the bakery and that is why they are together. However, Cooper had not seen this coming. He did not know that Juliana was a party freak but now he knows. She is exactly the woman who has always been on his dreams. Jax was right, the universe had given him a second chance to be happy with Juliana. Juliana walked into the club and she immediately loved the energy. The music was booming from the speakers. Some people were dancing while others were seated in square tables, just catching up. She loved it here. She has Dorah to thank for giving her this awesome experience. "Which drink will you take?" Dorah asked as they walked in. "Red wine is fine with me," Juliana said. She did not want anything hard on her first day. Dorah spotted a table and ensured that Juliana was comfortable before she walked to the counter. She ordered gin for herself and red wine for Juliana. She hoped that the gin was going to take her stress away. She had always wanted to be with Cooper. She wondered why it was so hard for him to ask her out yet she had always been there for him through thick and thin. Talk of the angel. Dorah was scanning through the crowd in the club as they processed her order when she spotted him. He was chatting with his friend Jax. He seemed happy and Dorah couldn't fight the urge to go say hi. Dorah made her way through and she finally got to where they were seated. "Hi," Dorah said and Cooper was happy to see her. He knew that she was going to take her to where Juliana was. Since Cooper was tipsy, he pulled her to a tight hug. As he felt her embrace, her eyes immediately locked with Juliana's. How was this possible? Cooper quickly pulled away from the hug and pushed Dorah away. "Is everything okay?" Dorah implored. He didn't understand him. One minute he was happy to see her and the next he was pushing her away. Juliana who spotted Cooper hugging her girlfriend Dorah quickly looked away when their eyes locked. She did not want problems with Dorah. She was supposed to stay away from Cooper. If not, she was going to lose Dorah as a friend and this is not what she wanted.
