Isaiah’s P.O.V
It was time for me to start getting ready for my date, so I took a shower, but the more I thought about Ava the harder my d**k got and I really didn’t want to show up to our date with a hard on, so I had to fix that problem. I hurried to get dressed and decided on a blue shirt and jeans. I put on my jacket and then thought about wearing a tie, but I couldn’t figure out how to tie one of those things, so I decided against it. I grabbed my Rolex and made sure I had enough money, then I was ready. I looked at the time and saw that I was slightly ahead of time, so I went to go and check on dad before I left.
“Hey dad, I’m heading out now, is there anything you need before I go?” I asked, popping my head round the door to his office.
“Go have fun and just remember what we talked about.” Dad replied, still looking at his computer. He seemed a little distracted, but I just assumed he was looking at the next collection or something, so I left and went to my car.
“By the way son, I will need you tomorrow night, so don’t make any plans.” Dad said, mind-linking me just as I got into my car.
“Alright dad, no problem.” I replied, mind-linking him back and then ended the link. I started the car and headed out on my way to Ava’s house. It would have been easier to shift and run there, but I didn’t want to scare her, so decided against it. I got there in no time at all, even though I was trying my best to drive slowly as I didn’t want to be there right on time. Besides, she only lives a few minutes away, so I pulled up to her driveway at five past eight. When I walked up to her porch I noticed that there was nothing but woods surrounding her house and she had a swing on her porch, with flowers hanging around it. I could tell they were only for decoration, but they looked great. I climbed the steps and took a deep breath before knocking on her door, but with my werewolf hearing I could hear her footsteps coming towards me and then she opened the door smiling.
“Hi there, come on inside, I’m almost done.” Ava said, opening the door wider for me. I walked inside and the first thing I saw was the living room, which was nicely set up. It had a couch on one side and a chair on the other that matched the blue carpet. She had a very nice glass coffee table with a few magazines in the middle of it and to my right was a standard size flat screen TV, which looked like a smart TV and it made me wonder if it had Netflix and Peacock on it. Ava left me alone while she finished getting ready, so I began looking at all the photos on the wall. There were some with just her and I’m assuming her family, then there were some with Ava and a dog. I wonder what happened to it and where it is now, but from what I could see there were no recent photos of her with her family. I carried on looking around the room and there was a stereo system beside her entertainment center and a few game systems as well. I saw the Wii and couldn’t help thinking that Ava was definitely my kind of girl. After ten minutes of me standing in the living room, getting to know a little about my mate Ava came back out and she looked absolutely beautiful. She had a spaghetti strap light blue dress on with a slit on the side and the heels to match. The dress hugged her curves in all the right places and her hair was braided on the side. She had a small amount of make-up on, which was perfect because she didn’t look like a clown. I hated when women wore way too much make-up because they always reminded me of clowns and don’t even get me started on when they wear red lipstick and it doesn’t even match anything that they are wearing.
“Are you ready to get going?” Ava asked, breaking me out of my thoughts.
“Yes, you look beautiful by the way.” I replied, nodding. We headed to the car and I held the door open for her, then closed it behind her and got in my side. I started the car and began to drive to the restaurant, but I had this really weird feeling and I didn’t know what it was or why I had it.
Unknown’s P.O.V
Damn it. I have been watching this female for sometime now and he just comes in and sweeps her off her feet. The f*****g bastard, how dare he do this. I’ll think of something else and then ask her out, maybe I’ll take her to some place different, but either way I am going to get her. I watched as they left for their date and then left her little house and ran back to the pack house, but when I got inside I was stopped by my Alpha.
“Where have you been?” Alpha asked, curious.
“I went on patrol, Alpha.” I said and he just nodded and walked away.
Isaiah’s P.O.V
I pulled up at the restaurant and got out of the car before Ava, then went around to her side and opened the door for her, helping her out.
“Come on, you’re going to love this.” I said, smiling at her as we walked into the restaurant.
“Long time no see, Isaiah. We haven’t seen you here in a while, how's the family doing?” The hostess Kym asked, smiling.
“Family is doing alright, we are trying to get everything back in order after mom passed away.” I replied and Kym nodded.
“I was sorry to hear about your mom, she was very much loved. So, are you ready to sit? I have just the table for you.” Kym said and I nodded. Ava and I followed Kym as she showed us to our table, which was a booth in a dark corner, giving us privacy.
“Well, tell your dad I said hi. I’ll just go tell the waitress you're here.” Kym said and I yet again nodded as Ava and I sat down side by side.
“I’m sorry to hear about your mother, if you don’t mind me asking, when did she pass away?” Ava asked, turning to look at me. I sighed as I really didn’t want to talk about this, especially on our first date, but I also didn’t want to be rude either so I decided to tell her.
“She died a few weeks back. It wasn’t serious, well actually it was, she gave her life up for my dad. He needed a new heart and well, she gave him hers. We had her on life support for the past two years, hoping we could find her a heart, but none of the hearts that the doctors tried worked, so we took her off the life support machines and let her go in peace. It was hard on us, still is, but we are trying to get it together. My mother was a strong woman and she was loved by a lot of...er...people, so it's going to take a while for everyone to get over this.” I said and Ava nodded. I had to stop myself from saying werewolves, but quickly recovered and said people.
“I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to intrude.” Ava whispered to me, but then she looked down at her hands.
“No, it’s okay, you didn’t know. So come on, how do you like the restaurant?” I asked, wanting to talk about more pleasant things. Ava smiled at me and I think that deep down she knew I wanted to change the subject.
“Yeah, I really do, it's very beautiful inside here.” Ava said, but all I could do was smirk.
“Not as beautiful as you are.” I said, wiggling my eyebrows at her as I watched her blush. This is going to be a good night and I don’t think anything could make it better.
