It felt odd, having Betty inside of me, not just in my mind, but my body too. I could feel her heart beating in rhythm with mine, and I loved it. Dad must feel the same way with my mother, but does mother feel the same way? I doubt it. With Betty being a shifter, she would feel the same as me. The look of wonder on her face told me as much. I feel we will have a better relationship than Dad has had with my mother, because of Betty being a shifter. Well, I hope I do. Mother just does not understand, at times, the bond side. She has become very selfish over time and has tried to act with authority, but other than being Dad’s mate, she has no real power, and shifters can just ignore her completely.
