CHAPTER SIX Donny Davies couldn’t believe his luck. Sometimes life was hard and times were tough. Other times, things aligned in a way that made him feel as if his bad luck was over and his big chance had arrived. He knew that this time, he would need to be careful. He’d recently been paroled after serving a six-year sentence. No way did he want to go back. Not when he’d been dealt a potentially winning hand—if he played it right.
