CHAPTER 5

Memories of last night, the intense pleasure she felt as they made love. The way he knew the right places to touch her to make her close to losing her mind came back and Natalie could feel goosebumps forming on her skin. One would almost say that she didn't love Elijah based on how she reacted to Jeremy's touch.

She cheated. She did the exact same thing that Elijah did with Sasha and she didn't know if she would live with herself after she leaves this room and goes back to campus.

Being around Jeremy doesn't make her feel the consequences of her actions just yet. The way he looks at her with his brown eyes, she wishes that she would stay in this fairytale forever. However, she knew that she was going to regret this decision once she left this room.

She had just cheated back. She cheated back on her fiance Elijah. Did she have her reasons? Of course she did but right now she did not have the moral authority to judge Elijah for his actions because they did the same thing.

Honestly though, this was not her. She was not the type to cheat, not after what her first boyfriend did to her. With Elijah she promised herself that she was going to be loyal to him till forever but last night changed everything. She cannot even trust herself, especially after meeting Jeremy.

To make matters worse, she cheated with Jeremy, his brother. How was Elijah going to react if he found out about what she did? She knew for sure that this was going to crush him. She wanted this secret to die with her. No one should ever know that she slept with Jeremy. Thank goodness Jeremy was not here to stay, in a few weeks, he would go abroad and maybe then is when she would stop beating herself over what happened. Plus, Elijah cheated on her with her own best friend, Sasha, that hurts so much.They are still in school together and running into them would remind her of that horrible night when Elijah decided to break her trust.

Natalie knew for sure that she was never going to forgive him. Trust is like glass. Once you break it, you lose it. You cannot get it back.

“Baby,” Jeremy called when he realised that she was lost in her thoughts.

“ Yes,” Natalie said, easing back to reality..Overthinking was not going to help her. She would rather enjoy this moment with him and figure out everything later.

“ When I met you, I thought that it would just be a one night stand thing. But, let me be honest, after last night, I want more. I want us to have a fling before I can go back abroad, what do you think about that?” Jeremy asked as he played with her hair.

Natalie was in shock. Her mouth formed a perfect letter O. She was just trying to figure out how to forget this one night yet Jeremy is requesting for a fling. Oh no, this is not exactly what she wanted and the turn of events that she expected.

“ Oh no, I don't think that's going to work. I am not into relationships. I met a guy, had fun with him and went to the next guy,” Natalie said chuckling. This was not her, this is not what she does. She is a girl who leads with her heart and she deeply believes in love. One night stands are not her type of thing and she should have known better than to show up here last night.

“ Solange, don't say that. You said that you wanted forever with me last night as we made love. You have changed my thought process when it comes to love, please don't let me down,” Jeremy was vulnerable with her. She could feel the desperation in his voice. He had totally dropped the bad boy front that he had presented all along.

“ You are just like me. No one was born a player. We all want to be attached to the people we love. I know your ex-boyfriend broke your heart. My ex-girlfriend also broke my heart but that should not be a reason why we do not believe in love anymore. Come on Solange, let's keep seeing each other, who knows where this is going to lead?” Jeremy said, reaching for her hands and interlocking her fingers with his.

It took Natalie a minute or so to think through what Jeremy had just said. To be honest, she wouldn't mind being with him. But right now, she is angry, she is so angry at Elijah. The two of them were engaged, that means that they loved each other. What she has with Jeremy and the excitement that she has around him is because of lust and knowing so well that she was going to hurt Elijah when he finds out the truth.

“ No, I am sorry but I can't give you what you want,” Natalie said but Jeremy did not back down. He believed that if he persisted asking her to say yes, then she was going to say yes.

“ Do you know how many ladies would want to have what I am offering you? I will treat you like a queen. I will give you everything that your ex-boyfriends didn't give you. I will help you heal your inner child. I will love you so deeply, the way you deserve to be loved. All that I want from you is to say yes,” Jeremy added and Natalie heard him say everything that she has always wanted to hear.

“ I am sorry but my answer is still ,No,” Natalie said. She really wanted to say yes but her hands were tied. This is Elijah's brother we are talking about. If he finds out that she was his brother's fiance then he would dump her.

“I want you to know that I don't give up easily. I will not back down Solange until I have you,” Jeremy said and Natalie rolled her eyes. He was really so ambitious.

“ Anyway, that aside. Come to me, come on top of me, let me kiss you, let me make love to you, who knows, you might change your mind afterwards,” Jeremy said with a smile and of course Natalie couldn't resist his request.

Her mantra was still the same, now that she was here, she should enjoy the moment. Plus who knows, maybe the s*x would be so good to make her change her mind.

With Jeremy, you can't be so sure, he is so full of surprises.
