(THIRD PERSON’S POV)
Immediately he stepped on to the walk it was like his presence was felt like a strong wave passing on till almost everyone was turning to look. There was something about the way he walked that drew the girls attention to him. The fact that he did not even for once stop to look at anyone and his obvious ego made the girls swoon as their eyes followed his movements in to the school. He knew that he was being watched but Charlie did not even care shift any one at all. All that he wanted to do, was get inside and find his damned classes that he had left.
Charlie thought of Viola too as he got in to the school. He had left her there standing all by herself. Good! By now she would know that he was not interested. Perhaps she would cooperate and they could just cancel those damned classes and lied about it getting done.
He wondered how he would even find her anyway. Maybe she had gotten the message. This was what Charlie was thinking about as he walked past the front lawn.
Jake Trent watched as this biker pranced about. He did not like him. But he most of all did not care about him. Jake who was the school’s number 1 Jock was not going to let himself feel threatened by some rascal. So he ignored his friends who were talking as they watched the biker from the school’s garden. Jake was having his lunch with some of his guys from the team. There was Doug Hanson, Peter Kishi and Chris Robertson.
“What the f**k does he feel like for God’s sake? Walking around like that!” Chris said and he burst out laughing because to him it was all ridiculous. “And what do they have him doing here anyway?”
“I really have no idea.” Doug said sitting up. “I can’t believe he is here. Maybe he is going to leave soon.”
“That’s true. He could be here for like just a week or so. And then he will be gone in no time.” Chris agreed.
“He is not.” Jake said keeping his legs crossed out before him. He was not interested in listening to the guys saying rubbish. He was hearing them and they had no idea of that they were taking about. “He is not staying for a week or so.” Jake said.
All the boys turned to him.
“He is going to be here for a long time.” He said and even Peter gave him his full attention. They knew that whenever Jake Trent opened his mouth to confirm anything, he was usually right. He was always right. Jake’s father was the town’s lawyer. Not to mention that he was one of the most influential and wealthiest people in Starsvalley. That of course meant that Jake knew what he was saying when he decided to talk about.
“You have go to be kidding me.” Doug said looking like he was very much in amusement that a biker could go to school here. With them. Together.
“There’s some sort of peace deal now between both sides so this is like I don’t know to seal the deal.” Jake tried to explain to the guys.
“They offered one of their own.” Chris said in a very sarcastic tone and the group laughed.
“Actually it is both ways.” Jake said nodding his head at them as he leaned back in a relaxed position.
“What do you mean?” Doug threw at him. He had a feeling that he knew what this meant but he needed to be certain.
“I mean. We would have to give one of our own too.” He said using air quotes. “As you call it.” He added going on to sip his orange juice from the bottle with a straw.
“You can’t possibly mean one of us is going to go?” Peter finally said something
“Well one of us will.” Jake answered straightly even acting nonchalant about the whole thing. “May be one of you.” He added looking elsewhere
“Haha very funny Trent!” Doug said pointing at Jake.
“No really I hear they have a good football team there.” Jake went on.
He kept on teasing because for him he was uninterested in whatever this was. He only took it as a joke because that was what it was.
When Jake heard about the exchange student thing, he thought it was crazy. The people do starsvalley and the bikers gang community have done all they can to keep each other apart and now they were having an exchange student program. What was next? Group camping? Co habiting together? It was all ridiculous! He did not care that the girls were all swooning because of him, he thought girls were dumb. Girls except Viola. But he did not care about the rest. Not even if the school’s Barbie was going in twists over him.
Natalie Fisher wanted to faint the second she laid her eyes on the exchange student. And even now as she watched him walk away, she felt all the air in her body be taken away from her by just a sweep of air as he walked by.
“He is so sexy.” She said to her friend, Jenny who looked at the biker walking away as well. “He is so sexy.” Natalie repeated in a low growl as she twirled a strand of her hair in one of her fingers.
“That is true.” Jenny agreed and went back to texting on her phone.
“I want to have him Jenny.” Natalie said and then she scoffed. “I am going to have him. In fact he is mine already.”
Jenny gave her best friend a questionable glance. “I agree that he is sexy and all that.” She said rolling her eyes. “But I don’t know, isn’t he too…..”
“Dangerous?” Natalie said still watching after him even though he was out of sight now.
Jenny groaned “No I was going to say that he is below you.” She said in a matter of fact tone.
Natalie gasped. “Jenny! You are speaking low of people.” She said and then her lips formed a wide smirk. “I like it.” Then she laughed “Well come on Jenny . Lighten up, I don’t plan on getting married to him you know.”
Then her lips curled in to an even deeper smile.
“Except I can not get enough of the sex.” She said with a wink. “Then there might be a problem.”
Jenny rolled her eyes and went back to fiddling with her phone. She was the one who had tried to have a serious talk with Natalie when she was looking at a man that was sweeping her off her feet. That was a wrong go to. When Natalie had her eyes set on something. Well that was it.
“Just think of how crazy mum would go if she found out that I was seeing a biker. The biker.” Natalie said and she was already laughing with glee as the imagination amused her.
“Your mother would hate you.” Jenny said with a short.
“Exactly!” Natalie concurred. And then she shrugged. “But you know, it is just not about that. The biker is gorgeous. Did you see his eyes? And oh My God! Those muscles. I think Jake Trent should watch his back.”
She said smirking as she pulled her friend away in the direction of the restroom. She needed to go and adjust her makeup. She had done so only twenty minutes ago but it was alright for her to check again, just in case the biker took another walk around again.
When Charlie was away from most of the crowd in the bathroom, he scoffed at no one in particular. He could not believe how annoying it was being in this school. He opened his map and his time table and when he was almost certain of where he was going to, he put it back inside his jacket and headed out. He turned on to the hallway and again the starring continued and then just as he was taking a turn to where he assumed was his next class, he saw her, Viola standing by lockers and she was with the same blonde girl Charlie had seen her with in the town this morning.
His eyes very quickly glanced at her and fixed on hers and without a word he took the turn in to the corner.
Pat, turned immediately to Viola.
