Tiffany POV
I reached home and saw Mom and Dad na nasa living with Kuya Andrew. Nanlaki ang mga mata ko at ang biis ng takbo ng puso ko when I saw him talking to my parents. But my parents only smiled and asked me how I was.
Isa lang ang ibig sabihin nito, Kuya did not say anything, yet. I gave tight smile and told them na I was going to my room. I quickly went up and got inside my room. I can feel my phone vibrate inside my pocket.
I fished it out and saw him calling me. I declined his call and just went to my bathroom and change my clothes, nawalan na ako ng gana to attend school. Ilang days nalang, graduation na and a lot of things are happening.
I went to my study room after, I submitted my papers online. After doing so, I went to my balcony and sat there on my couch. I was then lost in my own world. I kept thinking what he told me. All this time, he wanted me. All this time, he waited for me. But all this time, he was with Ms. Kisses and all these while, I have been tagged as mang aagaw and now, a photo of us surfaced.
I closed my eyes tightly. I am not sure kung na aagapan na nila Kuya ang nangyari but if that has come out, hindi lang suspension ang aabutin niya. There’s Miss Kisses who may again, I don’t even want to think about it.
I heard a knock on my door. I know it wasn’t Mom kasi hindi ito pumasok kaagad. I let another knock happen until I heard Kuya’s voice.
“Come in.” he enters my room and sat beside me sa isang couch.
“You didn’t attend class?”
“I can’t” he sighed.
“Don’t worry. I managed the contribution of those pictures. And that person who posted it, quickly taken it down.” Napalingon ako sa kanya.
“And.. him?” Kuya looked at me and sighed.
“As much as I want to keep him, your ate has the final say. He’s suspended until you graduate. Ilang days lang naman and he will be back.”
“But Kuya. I also wanted what happen—“
“Hindi pa din tanggap ng Ate mo. Kilala mo naman yun. And kahit ako ang president, your Ate makes the final decision. He’s lucky enough suspended lang siya. Kasi kung Ate mo ang solong nagdedesisyon, she might have fired him.”
“Kuya.”
“He’s my friend, princess. Kaya hindi ko din hahayaan na matanggal nalang siya.”
Sandaling naghari ang katahimikan samin.
“Hindi naman sa nagbabawal ang Ate mo sayo na idate mo siya, ang sa kanya lang, it might not just ruin him and Kisses, but most of all, you.” Tumingin si Kuya sakin.
“She is afraid na dumihan ang panhalan mo hindi kappa nakakalabas sa school na yon. Alam mo naman siguro kung ano ang mga yon?”
I nodded. Sniffinf as I silently cried. I understand Ate so much, and I know she does this because she loves me. Bumaling ako kay Kuya.
“Why didn’t you tell Mom and Dad?” he chuckled.
“Gusto mo bang instead na suspension lang ang abutin ni Miguel eh maligwak sa school at ditto yon? At ikaw, baka di ka na palabasin dito. Dad is so protective of you, princess, alam mo yan.”
Humarap ako sa labas and sighed a relief. Buti nalang. Tumayo ako mula sa pagkaka upo saka isinandig ang likod ko sa railings paharap kay Kuya.
“I won’t march in my graduation, instead, kukuhanin ko nalang diploma ko. I’m staying away from here.”
Nagulat naman siya sa nagging desisyon ko. Maging ako, nagulat din.
‘Are you sure? Hindi mo siya aantayin hanggang sa maka graduate ka?” I looked away.
“To prevent further damage. Kahit naman maka graduate ako, may isa pang problema. It’s her.”
He nodded in understanding. Alam ko namang di niya hahayaan makalaya si Miguel sa kanya. I know that for sure.
“Mas mahihirapan siyang makawala sa kanya, lalo pag maka graduate na ako. Dahil alam niyang wala nang makakapigil samin nun.” I sighed.
“May problema pa siya sa Mom niya, dadagdag pa ako. Mahihirapan na siya ng masyado.”
“You love him?” napatigil ako sa tinanong ni Kuya.
“I-It’s too early to say it’s love…”
Kuya sighed and stood up. He patted my head before he said his final question.
“If you feel love, I don’t think that’s a good idea. But, ask yourself again, do you now love him?”
Sakai to lumakad palabas ng room ko and left me alone. I sat back and got lost in my own thoughts again.

Miguel POV
Nairush ko si Kisses sa malapit na ospital. I called his cousin and told him what happened. Papunta na din ito sa ospital.
Doctor said she just fainted and just need to take some rest. Mukhang napagod daw ito. Naghintay lang ako sa labas ng room niya sa parating na pinsan niya.
I tried calling her again, but again, it got declined. Then Andrew’s words came rushing back in my thoughts. Kailangan niya ng space. So I will give it it her.
Dumating na din ang pinsan niya and thanked me na andito pa din ako. He told me na sinabihan na niya iton di maglalabas pero matigas ang ulo.
I just nodded and tapped his back. Papa alis na sana ako when she shouted inside, agad naman kaming pumasok sa kwarto.
She was shouting and asking for me. I held her kahit na panay na ang pagpapatahan sa kanya ng pinsan niya. She slowly stopped nang makita ako.
“Miguel? Please… don’t leave me, please.” Agad ako nitong niyakap. Napatingin ao sa kaibigan ko na ikinailing lang niya.
“Stop this, I’m here. Stop shouting.” I said
Nagbuntong hininga nalang ako. Her cousin just sat beside her bed and told her to just rest kasi nandito naman ako. Mukhang nag aalangan pa itong humiga, pero at least sumang ayon itong humiga ng kama.
I sighed in relief as she was asleep already after a few minutes. Umupo kami sa couch ng pinsan niya and was talking in hush tones.
“Pare, sorry, I can’t do it anymore.”
“I understand, dude. Kilala ko ang pinsan ko. Ganyan talaga siya pag na aattach sa isang tao. That’s also the reason why naghiwalay sila nung last bf niya. She had been possessive, obsessed. Masyadong nasasakal yung ex niya. She was suicidal for a few months but eventually, she changed and back to normal nanaman. Kaya nga sabi ko sayo, just gradually leave her.”
“How can I kung di niya ako tinatantanan? Did you know nasaan siya kanina? Outside my flat, pare. Taos doon pa siya nawalan ng malay. Pababayaan ko nalang, ganoon ba?”
Napa iling nalang siya sa narinig. Paareho silang natahimik nang sandali bago nagsalitang muli ang kaibigan niya.
“Leave. Leave while she’s asleep. Ako na bahala sa kanya.” He said without facing me.
“Pupuntahan pa din niya ako sa condo.”
“Leave this place for a while. I’ll take her somewhere.”
“What?”
“You heard me.”
Hindi na ako nakaimik but I did as he said. I went out of that room then out of that building. Hindi ko dinala ang kotse ko kasi ambulance ang ginamit naming.
I rode a cab and nagpababa ako sa condo ko. I quickly went out and jogged to my condo. Isang bag lang ang dala ko, with clothes and necessities.
Hindi ko alam san ako pupunta. So I went home to my Mom’s instead. I drove about 1 and a half hours kasi traffic na.
When I was there, I just parked outside and saw my sister. May binili siguro sa labas, nang makita ako ay kay lapad ng ngiti nito.
I smiled and hugged her shoulders nung papasok na kami. My brother was also surprised to see me. I went to my Mom’s and saw her watching TV.
Nilapitan ko sya and kissed her forehead. She smiled and welcomed me.
“Kumusta anak, napabisita ka?” I smiled and grabbed her hand.
“I’ll stay here for a while.” She was surprised.
“Buti naman nang makasama ka namin.”
Nanood lang kami habang nag uusap nang tumunog ang phone ko. I looked at the caller and abruptly sat up.
“Mom, wait. I need to answer this.”
Lumabas ako ng kwarto then outside the house. Napangiti ako saka ko sinagot ang tawag niya.
“Hello, baby?”
