Chapter 7 Who dares to marry you but me

1368 Words
William set the teacup down after the three of them exchanged pleasantries. "Uncle and aunt, it's late. Don't disturb your sleep, I'll go ahead first. " Mrs. White smiled and added, "Let Elisa send you. Our community is easy to get lost in at night." "In that case, Aunt, I'm grateful." Elisa White secretly pinched a handful of her mom and gnashed her teeth to take the key card out. The road layout in their neighborhood was more difficult at night than it was during the day, making it extremely easy for people who were unfamiliar with it to get lost. Elisa walked three steps behind William, occasionally peering behind him through the dim street lamp. She was not sure whether God had a soft spot for that man. Even his rear and the back of his head were more attractive than others. William, who was walking in front, stopped and gazed at Elisa with deep eyes. Standing beneath the street lamp, it transformed into a lovely image in an instant. Elisa couldn't help but stop. William furrowed his brows. "Woman, don't fight it. How nice it is to marry me?" "What makes you think I will marry you?" Elisa had only been thundered once by her mother before listening to William, and her face was not shocked. "No one else dares to marry you but me!" William said. "I think you should go." William did not only roll, but also approached Elisa. She unconsciously stepped back two steps. William approached Elisa and took a position in front of her. Even if he did not speak well, he was quite dazzling. "I'm so handsome and wealthy, and I'm pursuing you. After you marry me, I may transfer all of my shares in Brich's Group to you, allowing you to become a wealthy woman in an instant. Where can you get anything so wonderful? " Elisa could not help but notice William smoking out of the corner of his eye, and she thought that the present William was a split, not the same guy at all. Annie once told her that William had signed a deal with someone. With a cold look, William flung the contract in front of the opposing party. "Four or six points. I'll give you four if you'll sign it." As a consequence, billions of dollars’ worth of contracts were signed. William was seen as "cold and taciturn" by the mainstream or internet media, and they were unable to utter more than a few words in meetings, frequently with a chilly expression and silence. "Start!" was generally his command at the start of a meeting. And he would say "The conference is over!" when it ended. He did not mention anything unnecessary. But the William in front of her that day was not the one who was rumored in the media. With her eyes on William's attractive face, Elisa remarked, "Who else could you possibly find with such a fantastic quality, but I am?" "You allowed my little son to fall in love with you, and as his father, I am hesitant to surrender." Elisa tolerated it, but she couldn't stop herself. "Get the hell out!" William took advantage of Elisa White's rage and hastily kissed her cheek. He strolled away slowly before Elisa could respond, saying as he walked, "I'll have someone get you a wedding gown tomorrow. Marry me when your wedding gown is ready. " William's obscene feast disheartened Elisa. She was clearly simply an average and ordinary local. How could she entice the men that all Australian women want to marry? Elisa's quality of life had drastically improved since her Mom and Dad returned. Her mother used to be a pastry chef. She quit working when she got married. She was comfortable being a full-time wife at home, taking care of Elisa's everyday needs. When Elisa reached adulthood, her mother concentrated on her father. Her father was a construction engineer who traveled a lot. Over the years, they had frequently carried their bags and left, often for three or four months, even a half-year, which made Elisa jealous since it was so spontaneous and uncontrolled. Elisa looked a lot better after two days of being properly fed by her mom. Annie was surprised to see her when she came to the office on Monday. "Does the allure of love still have such a sway over you?" "Where would you want to go? My mom has returned. " Elisa replied as she tossed a snack bag and a can of milk onto Annie's pad. "Please thank your mother for me." Annie ate her goodies one by one, with sparkling eyes. She posed a hazy question while eating "What do I have to do with you all the time? I'm quite intrigued." "Ask me nothing but work-related questions!" "People are asking. They wanted to know your relationship with him, I told them you are not with him. A certain post is circulating, with your photo in it. And he genuinely holds your hand, which makes me intrigued! " "I told you, nothing but work-related. Please prepare the information I need as soon as possible." "Yeah, yes, yes." Annie nodded. "Oh, by the way, I nearly forgot to mention that Professor Newt requested you to come to his office when you arrived." "Did he say anything at all?" "No, I think it's about his topic lesson." "I get what you mean. Wait a second. " "Mm-hmm." Elisa stowed her suitcase and proceeded to Professor Newt's office. Professor Newt was 32 years old, and his actual name was Newt Malick. He was a Harvard medical student with a master's and a doctorate degree. He returned to Westmead Hospital after earning his Ph.D. to do research on cardiovascular and cerebrovascular disorders. With Newt's research at home and abroad, he was fully capable of being transferred to larger and better hospitals, but he insisted on staying at Westmead Hospital for the time being. Because of his involvement, the overall rating of Westmead Hospital had significantly increased in recent years, drawing a large number of excellent medical staff to work as the hospital's reserve force. Elisa went inside Prof. Newt's office and knocked on the door. "Hello, Professor Malick. My name is Dr. Elisa White." "Please come in, Dr. Elisa." Elisa pushed the door and went in. Newt was sorting something behind the bookcase, away from Elisa White. "You take a seat first, and I'll look for some information." Elisa sat on the sofa, patiently waiting for Professor Newt to resolve his problems. Soon after, Newt came over to say hello. He was a gentleman who possessed a certain elegance. Professor Newt had a book in his hand. "Take this book and have a look at it." Elisa recognized it as a piece of pure English medical literature at first glance. "This is the most recent cardiovascular and cerebrovascular idea, and it will be the subject of my presentation on Wednesday. I need your assistance with this translation since I need to organize some other materials right now. Do you have any difficulties? " "There isn't anything difficult about it. It's simply that you're surrounded by medical teams and medical equipment firms who are providing you with assistance. They should be able to do a better job translating these documents than I can." Elisa said. "To be completely honest, I am dissatisfied with the working abilities of the people who are currently around me. Nevertheless, if I return them, a new set of people will be recommended. It's possible that the newcomers will be worse than this group of people, and I don't have the time to take this risk at the moment." Elisa was taken aback by Professor Malick's boldness, and she smiled as he said it. "If that is the case, I will not postpone it. I'm particularly interested in getting more hands-on experience with cardiovascular and cerebrovascular problems. " "There are issues and conferences in this field that have been discussed in the past. I'd like to invite you to play a couple more games with me. The number of contacts in this sector has increased, and the technology is simple to learn and apply."
