Chapter 8 Dare to bully my future wife

1233 Words
"I appreciate the fact that you think of me from time to time. If I often participate in research with you, will I not be sprayed to death by other doctors at the hospital?" Professor Newt grinned. "So, I'll keep it low-key. First and foremost, go to work. If you don't understand something afterwards, please ask me." "All right." Elisa returned to the office and placed the unopened magazine on the pad. Brandon and Julia were likewise in the cardiovascular and cerebrovascular sectors, and the topic meeting would undoubtedly bring them together. But so what? She genuinely wanted to advance in the area, and it was hard for her to refrain from engaging in related studies because she was afraid of them. Wednesday was almost approaching. Elisa drove to the hospital early in the morning, she checked the forest car quality, the required papers, documents, cameras, and DV needed for the speech, and then headed off to the meeting location. It was a forest car driven by Elisa. Her POLO car was too cheap to drive to a gathering location full of luxury cars. It was nothing to start a tiny POLO in normal times, so she should pay attention to it in that public-to-public event. When Elisa arrived at the site in the suburbs, she first let Professor Malick rest in the VIP room while she went to do all kinds of preliminary work and negotiate with the venue organizers about the different procedures of the meeting. Although it had been taken over previously, it was fairly common for events such as meetings to change momentarily. When the venue's personnel saw Elisa approaching, they exclaimed, "Dr. Elisa, you've arrived just in time. There is something to dock with you. " "Okay, go on." "We already agreed that Professor Newt may take a break after two hours of teaching. There are several modifications now, and a link has been added. Do you think it is feasible? " "What type of connection is it? Professor Malick's schedule is extremely tight. This course is taught entirely in English, and the two-hour lesson drains one's physical strength and stamina. Professor Malick, I believe, needs a good rest at the moment. " "Sure, yes, I know." The staff's faces were flushed with embarrassment. "I was temporarily informed that significant visitors would be arriving and that there would be a brief lecture after class. We can't explain anything here if Professor Malick does not participate as an essential speaker. I hope you understand." The team met with her numerous times and agreed on Elisa's work organization. To some extent, she could make choices directly and had more freedom to speak than physicians and assistants around other professors. "I need to talk to Professor Newt and get back to you half an hour before the end of the lecture." "All right." The employees sighed with relief as they listened to her. "Then I'll communicate with others." "Good." Elisa took the venue schedule and flow chart and sat on the sofa on one side of the hall to carefully review them. She mentally ran through the software, imagining the potential problems with each link. "Oh, isn't this a pleasure?" Said a woman's voice. Elisa's gaze shifted slightly upwards as she noticed Julia and Brandon approaching her. Julia wore a long crimson gown and a mink coat. Her hair was pulled up high, wrapped in a bun, and adorned with diamond hairpins. It was both lovely and costly. Brandon, who was around her, was dressed in a black suit, with Julia holding one hand and a lady's tiny purse in the other, much like a typical boyfriend. "Hello, Julia, Brandon." Elisa frowned momentarily, then merged her feelings into her eyes and met them graciously. Julia sat down alongside Elisa, looked at the information in her hand, and smiled ironically. "Why don't you let your assistant see it? You're not from a shabby hospital, are you? You arrive at class, and even an assistant was not given to you?" "I went to the hospital with some of my colleagues. This is my job. " Elisa ignored Julia's sarcasm and muttered something supercilious. Julia assumed Elisa would be humiliated. She did not expect her to reply at all. She said, "I heard you didn't pursue a PhD, so you've been working for a while. How can you do what a college student can accomplish?" "Of course, it cannot be compared to you two returnees." Elisa said, looking at her watch. She didn't want to waste time on Julia and Brandon. "It's getting late. I'll communicate with the professors at our hospital about the lectures. See you later. " Elisa walked away without looking back. Elisa could not stop shivering till she got to the spot where no one was. She still underestimated Brandon and Julia's impact on her. Julia's eyes showed disappointment and hatred as she gazed at Elisa's disappearing figure. She wanted to silence Elisa since she knew she had come to engage in the research as well. Elisa was superior to her in every aspect of medical school. When others mention Monash University, the first thing that would come to mind was Elisa White, followed by her. As soon as she came home, she would be the deputy chief physician of a well-known hospital. Elisa was only a resident at the hospital whose name was known. It would take at least five years to stay up to be the deputy chief physician. But Elisa was unconcerned. Even when she walked away, she did not glance at her or Brandon. Julia felt unsatisfied, and her exquisite makeup was a little warped as a result. Brandon's gaze remained fixed on Elisa's face the entire time. Seeing Elisa from her appearance to her departure, he didn't put his eyes on him, and his heart rose with a hard-to-hide disappointment. William, who was on the third level, saw the three people's interaction. His eyes blazed with ruthlessness as he gazed at Brandon. "Who makes you unhappy?" Said Jerry Brich, standing close to William. "What will you do if someone bullies your wife?" William had a slow pace. "I don't have a wife. How do I know?" William was too lazy to talk to him anymore. When Jerry realized William was serious, he said, "If someone bullies my wife, I will kill him!" "That's what I think." Jerry abruptly came to his senses. "When did you get married? I did not receive an invitation. " "In the near future." William abruptly terminated this statement and exited. The Professor finished his lecture quickly. Elisa had limited actual expertise in the cardiovascular and cerebrovascular sectors, but his theoretical basis was strong. It was not difficult to listen to Professor Malick's class, and it was really helpful. Following the presentation, a tea break was arranged at the reception venue. All of the participants walked downstairs to the little hall next to them for tea or a walk in the garden. During that time, Elisa organized the papers from Professor Malick's recent lecture, the contents of everyone's interaction, and the photographs and videos she shot during Professor Malick's speech. The lecture hall was a medium-sized conference hall with a whole wall of floor-to-ceiling windows and excellent lighting. She was not sure who opened the French window. When a gust of wind blew, numerous dispersed documents flew all over the sky.
