chapter 20❤

1004 Words
Since it was Sunday morning, Chris thought of sleeping some more as he felt more tired than any other day. So he wanted to use this day to take as much rest as he can, so that he can work more efficiently and effectively when he goes to office on the Monday morning. Usually he would wake up at 6:30 a.m. in the morning and leaves the house to the office at 8.00 a.m. but today he woke up only after the sun rose high in the sky. Just as the sun rays were flashing through the curtains that hung on the large glass windows, Chris began to stir in his sleep. After rolling on the bed for few more minutes, Chris sat up straight on his large king size bed, and leaned on the headboard of the bed. Lazily wiping his eyes to ease of the remaining sleep sticking adamantly on his eyes. Moving out of the bed, he went to his bathroom. Taking the mint toothpaste on his tooth brush, he quickly brushed his teeth and washed his face. Feeling refreshed, he came out of the bathroom and went to his walk-in closet to take clothes to take a bath. Taking a bath, he went downstairs. When he saw there was sign of his mom, he went in search of his mom. The fresh warm sun and breeze greeted him went he reached the villa’s garden. He quickly took notice of the small figure running around the garden, watering the plants. Quickly plucking a freshly bloomed a red rose from the nearby small rose garden, his mom was growing, he went towards Diana, his mom and bent Infront of his mom dramatically as if as a guy was proposing a girl. Seeing his son with acted rose in his hand and kneeling in front of her Diana laughed happily like a little kid and took the rose from Chris. Hearing his mom’s giggling sounds, Chris was happy since his motive to do such an act was to bring a smile on his mom’s face. As he achieved his goal, he was more than happy. His mood was raised to another level of happiness. Without knowing the thoughts running on her son’s head, Diana smelled the rose on her hand happily. Seeing the red rose, brought back so much memories back to her. Her husband, used to give her red roses, since the day they both met in their teenage years. That’s the only reason, Diana liked the red roses very much. For others the red rose may be the symbol of love. But for Diana, red roses meant and symbolize the time her husband Daniel and she spent together in their early stages of life. Red roses meant the happy memories she has shared the her husband all through her happy days. Every day she spent with her husband wàs a happy day to Diana. Thinking this, brought tears to Diana’s eyes. Even though they were not rich in the beginning, Chris’s dad used to give her red roses everyday. Since it was expensive to buy everyday,Diana told her husband to plant a red rose garden for her, so that he can give her roses daily from their own home garden. It was also the same reason, Diana wanted a grows rose gardening their new villa. It was also the first plant both Chris and Diana bought and planted together on their new villa. Diana came out from the memory lane of hers and placed the water bucket she was holding in her hands a few moments back, on the ground. Hooking her hand with Chris arm, she began to pull him up, as Chris was still in the kneeling position. “Sorry handsome young man. I’m already married” Diana teased Chris. “ you hurt me. Don’t lie. You are so youbg n beautiful, how could you be married at such an young age” Chris played along while placing a hand in his heart for more effect. “True young man. You are a little late. I even have 2 kids if my own” Diana continued her play,as it was rare was her son to be home and spent time with her. She wanted to make more memories with him and cherish it in her heart. “really?” exclaimed Chris acting as if he was truly hurt. “Don’t worry. You are not so bad yourself. You have nice looking face, so you could get a girl if you put a little more effort” disks winked to add more effect and giggled happily. “OK mom. I lost” Chris surrendered while raising both of his hands above on the air. “But I’m not joking. If you put on a little more effort and do the same gesture you did a few moments ago and propose a girl, she would surely say yes to you”. “ I would get a daughter-in-law so soon. You are not good for nothing stupid fellow. You too have charms” Diana continued her ranting without noticing what she was saying and forget to check her son’s facial expression on hearing her words. “ What did you say that I was what??” grumbled Chris from behind Diana. That’s when she noticed that she had walked a few steps ahead while Chris was still standing behind in the same spot they stood before. Realising what she had said about her son, she began to coax him nicely. “Nothing” Diana replied too quickly. “nothing. I said nothing. I just kept talking about how good the weather is” looking up the sky she continued. “ today’s weather is so nice. Isn’t it?? Why don’t we go out for a picnic or something” she faces her son with the most innocent puppy look she could muster. .............. hi lovely readers...... happy reading..... check out my other books in my profile.
