Diana was still coaxing Chris as her dear darling son was still holding grudge against her as she called him as “good for nothing son”. To be frank, Diana still think her son is good for nothing. Other men his age have been dating and get married left and right and here goes her son. Still not even having a girl to call as girlfriend at his age. Other guys his age, if they had his good looks and status, they would have used it to their advantage and would have got married by now. Some would even kids of their own to call them father. Thinking all this, Diana sighed heavily. Seeing his mom sighing heavily with a sad face, Chris felt bad for dragging his little temper tantrum. He stood from the couch and sat next to his mom and hugged Diana. Chris put his arms around Diana’s shoulder and brought his mom into his arms. “Ok miss beautiful. Stop sighing and frowning too much. Then your lovely face would be filled with frown lines, making you look like a old lady” Chris now began to coax Diana. “Stop it. you are such a sweet talker. You definitely got your honey dripping sweet talking genes and techniques from your beloved father” Diana said and swatted Chris arms around her shoulder. “Ouch….now why am I being punished?” Chris asked with a pout like a wronged child. “That’s for calling me a old lady and making me worry” Diana shrugged and smiled happily. “Now…now…there is the smile I was wishing to see. Now you look like a beautiful lady.” Chris said and got up. Then he bend down in one knee and extended a hand towards his mom who was still looking at her son like he had come from the outer planet. “would you like to give me the honor of dancing with a beautiful lady?” Chris said dramatically with a dashing smile on his face and took a red rose from the vase present on the tea table. Then he gave the rose to Diana. His mom too took the rose from his hand and took a whiff of the red rose. It brought memories of her late husband Daniel. Pushing the tears that were threatening to fall from her eyes, Diana blinked her eyes hard and recovered her bearings. Then she gave a lovely smile to Chris and put her hands on his extended hand. “Yes….of course, I would love to dance with such a gentle man” Diana said and she too stood from her spot on the couch. Both the mom and son duo began to sway slowly without any music as their background. Diana taught Chris to dance in his childhood days. She loved to waltz when she was a young girl. When she got married to Daniel, Chris’s dad, she taught her husband how to dance and they both would dance often. Her all time favorite memory of their dancing, was the dance moment they often dance on a full moon day. Both Daniel and Diana would have a little picnic planned in their back garden and would eat their dinner under the moonlight. Then both would dance with mild music as their background and the full moon light to guide their steps. It was the romantic date moment they usually plan every full moon day, till the day Daniel died. Then after her husband passed away. Diana would miss him the most on those full moon day, as the light of her life, her husband had left her alone in this world. Chris who was a little boy at that time, found his mom, crying looking at the moon, understood his mom’s yearning for his late dad. So one day, he proposed to Diana to have a dance with him. Diana too held her son and began to dance under the bright full moon. But Chris got his steps all wrong, which made Diana to laugh out loud in the end. From then, Diana would teach him how to dance on the weekends.it became their usual routine. Diana would usually tease him saying , this dancing skill of his would get him more girls in the future. After a little dancing, both the Mom and son duo went to the dinning Hall to have their breakfast. “Hey darling, are you free today?” diana asked in the middle of her eating. “Yes mom. I don’t have any work. I’m totally free for you to use “ Chris said jokingly. “Wait a minute..You are not seriously setting me up in a date with some random girl right?” Chris thought of something and questioned Diana suspiciously. “Oh god….why didn’t I think of this idea.” Diana groaned dramatically. “Though the idea is more tempting, but I don’t have time for you today. You are off the hook today. But I want you to run an errand for me” Diana said to Chris as she poured her favorite orange juice from its carton into a glass. Then she took another glass and filled it and placed it near Chris. “What do you want me to mom?” Chris asked a he happily took a sip from his glass of orange juice. ................ hi lovely readers....... happy reading....... thanks for reading this book.... love you all ❤❤❤❤
