Chapter 11

Mercury’s P.O.V

  Cheyenne and I watched as Alpha Dash and AJ drove baby Abigail off our territory and I was so proud of Cheyenne. I thought that she handled the whole situation amazingly, but I didn't realise Cheyenne was crying until I turned to face her. Her eyes were puffy like she had been crying all this time and it was then that I realised just how heartbroken she was. I pulled her close to me and hugged her, while rubbing her back and kissing the top of her head. 

  “I’m so sorry, love. I wish we could have kept her, but she wasn't ours to keep. You knew her family would look for her and now she is in the best place, just like Nelsa wanted.” I whispered and she nodded. We turned around and went back into the pack house, where I proceeded to walk Cheyenne up to our bedroom. I closed the door behind us as Cheyenne sat down on the couch, wiping her tears away.

  “I’m alright, it was just a lot harder than what I thought it was going to be, but I understand that it had to happen and I am so glad that Nelsa’s family and mate cared enough to look for her. Abigail will be alright, I just know she will.” Cheyenne said as I sat down next to her. I knew I needed to have the conversation about what I heard earlier, but now I wasn't sure that it was the right time.

  “Mercury, what is it? You have looked deep in thought ever since you came to Anna’s room this morning.” Cheyenne asked, snapping me out of the internal debate I was having with myself.

  “Cheyenne, I….I heard what you said to Anna earlier on. Is what you said true? Do you want to try for another child?” I asked and watched as she bit on her lower lip, avoiding eye contact with me. She always did this when she dreaded telling me something, but she normally caved when she didn't have a way out of it. 

  Cheyenne’s P.O.V

  I was sad when Abigail left and out of nowhere Mercury shocks me with his question, leaving me dumbfounded. I knew that he had heard something, I just didn't know how much and I had no idea what his reaction was going to be. I have been wanting another child since before Abigail came into the picture, so I knew I wasn't just feeling broody, but how do I tell him that. I sat there for a few minutes, thinking of what to say and I guess this was my moment, so I decided to just be honest with him.

  “Yes, it's true. I have been wanting to try for another child for a while now. I know we are a little older, but it couldn't hurt to try, could it? Besides, if we have a boy then he could be the next Alpha, if not then Anna will be taking over when you decide to step down or William if you decide to let him be Alpha.” I replied, letting him know how I really felt while all the time looking at my hands. Mercury took a deep breath and then his whole face lit up like a christmas tree.

  “Cheyenne, I wanted the truth and I am so glad you have been honest with me because I have been wanting to try as well, but I was...I was just worried in case you didn't want to. I promise I wasn't trying to eavesdrop when you were talking to Anna in her room, I just came in at the very end of the conversation, but I am so glad that I did.” Mercury said, making me smile and look at him.

  “Well…..” I said, pretending to think and then smirked at Mercury.

 “We could start to try now if you want?” I asked and he started to chuckle.

  “Well, since you insist.” Mercury replied as he grabbed me and pulled me onto his lap so that I was straddling him. I giggled as I leaned in and crashed my lips against his, kissing him passionately. I ripped off his shirt as he tore off my dress and bra, leaving me in only my panties. He picked me up and carried me over to the bed as I undid his jeans and pushed them down with my feet, almost causing us to fall over. He kicked them off before setting me down on my feet and turning me around, bending me over the bed and quickly thrusting his hard c**k inside of me. Mercury pumped in and out of me, deep and hard, making me moan. I looked back at him over my shoulder as I pushed back on him, meeting his thrusts each time and making him groan when I did so. Mercury reached round, grabbing my breast and pinching the n****e with his one hand, while the other slapped my ass, making me scream out in ecstasy. The more I screamed and moaned the harder he f****d me. An hour and many different positions later we both came together, falling on the bed and gasping for air. 

  “Round two?” I asked, winking at him once I had caught my breath.

  “You bet your sweet ass, baby. I love being inside of you, I love how tight you are for me and now that we are trying to make a baby there will be no stopping me.” Mercury replied, getting between my legs. He lifted my legs up and shoved back inside of me. Mercury and I made love for hours on end and once we had both come for the tenth time he fell on top of me. Both of us were in a sweaty mess as we tried to catch our breath. Neither of us knew what time it was when we finally fell asleep, but we were both so exhausted and thoroughly happy. Who knows, maybe we did just create life, but one thing was for sure, we would keep trying until it happened.
