A Father's love

He was looking at Samantha as if asking, ‘Did you manage everything well? Or did you create any trouble?’

William came to her rescue and replied softly, “We really had a lot in common. I think we can proceed with our relationship.”

Henry suddenly started laughing happily as soon as he heard William’s words, “Ah Ah hahaha! That’s good. That’s good. Ha ha ha. That’s really very good. Ha ha ha.”

Once he came out of his shock and surprise, he calmed down and stopped his crazy laughs, but his smile could not converge no matter what as he announced at once, “Since everything went well, I don’t think there is any need to wait any longer either. Why don't we arrange the engagement party tomorrow? What do you say?”

Before any one of them could speak a word, Henry spoke again while nodding his head, “Since no one has any opinions, that’s good. Okay, it was decided then. Since tomorrow there will be a huge party, William, Samantha, you both kids should go to your rooms and get enough rest. You should look refreshed at your own engagement after all. Ha ha ha.”

Hence, without letting anyone speak, everything was settled at once by Henry.

Everyone looked at each other and did not know how to react to all this.

Of course, they all already knew that no matter what happened, William and Samantha would definitely get engaged in the end. But no one had expected that he would arrange everything in such a hurry.

William just came today and he talked to Samantha for a couple of hours and their engagement would be held tomorrow? Isn’t everything a bit too rushed?

It almost looked like he was running away from something and wanted to get this done as soon as possible.

Since Henry did not like Samantha’s mate, he did not let anyone know about his existence. After all, if the word gets out that his precious daughter’s mate belongs to a lowly class, wouldn’t he lose all his prestige?

Hence, he did everything to keep everything about his daughter and her affairs under wraps.

There are very few people who know all the ins and outs of this matter.

Samantha and William, on the other hand, had already expected Henry to rush this engagement and exchanged glances before giving each other a helpless look along with a smile.

It is really good that they both had already talked to each other about everything earlier. If they were late by even a couple more hours, they would have felt like they fell into a frenzy without knowing how to get out of it.

When Henry saw the smile in both of their eyes while looking at each other, he suddenly felt relaxed in his heart.

As expected, if a great Alpha was placed in comparison, there is no way his dear daughter would still think of that lowly creature.

It is great that he had a great vision and selected such a young and strong alpha for his daughter.

Otherwise the daughter, whom he raised on his chest, had to be given away to live in rags? There is no way he would let his daughter live like that.

Even if it had to break his daughter’s heart and had to bear the brunt of her anger for a few days, he was sure that once she stays with William for a little while, she would forget all about that filthy brat and would even understand the reason behind all of his actions.

There is no way his lovely daughter would be angry with her father for so long, right? Their blood would always keep them together.

He felt content when he thought so and his smile became even brighter than before.

He did not know that his daughter had already made all the plans to outsmart him.

Her smile towards William, that he was so happy about, was in fact because they had already planned to go behind his back and decided on a contract to leave each other after some time.

“You, come here and show William to his room,” Henry happily beckoned for a servant to escort William to his room before giving him a few more instructions about his stay.

Then he looked at William and his smile grew broader as he said, “William, son, go and rest now. If you need anything, you can give him a call and he will do anything for you. If you need me for anything, you can always feel free to do so, alright? After all, we are now going to be a family. Ha ha ha ha.”

William’s lips twitched at this man’s enthusiasm but he did not say anything. He simply gave a courteous nod and a polite smile before leaving towards his room.

Henry did not feel bad about William’s behavior in the least. After all, he always knew that the young man was a man of few words.

His courteous behavior and polite gestures were enough for him to feel content enough to laugh for a little while more.

Samantha rolled her eyes internally when she saw her Father’s expressions. She then greeted him a good night before turning to leave for her own room.

Before she could leave, her hand was held by her father. When she looked at him in anger, he did not care but gave her a happy smile as he nodded his head multiple times, “Good. You did a great job today.”

Samantha gave him a fake smile and pulled her hand out of his grip before taking her leave.

Henry did not mind her rude behavior in the least.

After all, he knew that she would come back to him and say that she loves her Father very much after a few days for getting her such an amazing husband.

Hence, he happily smiled and turned around to find his wife giving him a look.
