Terms of the contract

Samantha looked at him, pursed her lips before shaking her head, “No, I have a brother. My brother would have gone against my Father.. But he...” “He what?” William probed. “Well, he is not here at this moment. Let’s talk about him later, okay? We have more important things to talk about for now, don’t we?” Samantha changed the subject and William did not force her to talk about something that she doesn’t want to. Maybe her brother had a story of his own and she was not comfortable speaking about him. He thus gave a nod. Samantha smiled, “Anyway, though I already started treating you as my good friend, I won’t feel comfortable without a legal bond between us that could safeguard me from our engagement. “Who knows if later one of us will suddenly fall in love with the other and doesn’t want to let the other go? As I said earlier, feelings change. So we need this contract as a safety key that could unlock the door of our engagement when we need it without any worry.” William nodded his head, “I understand. Okay, let’s do it the way you just said it. Let’s talk about our goals, terms and conditions of our contract without wasting any more time.” Samantha nodded her head, “I agree. It is best to prepare the contract as soon as possible because I don’t think my Father would waste anymore time before he arranges the date for our engagement. If he could, he would arrange a party by tomorrow morning and announce it immediately.” William was shocked for a second but after recalling Henry, he felt that her words were really feasible. Samantha then continued, “Anyway, as far as I know your goal is for our pack to backup yours when you fight against your enemy, right?” William nodded, “Right.” “Anything more?” Samantha asked to be sure. William thought for a second and shook his head. The sole purpose for him getting engaged to her was for this reason. There is no other use for him from all this. She nodded her head, “Okay. What I want is for you to not speak about our fake engagement with anyone else. If word gets out, that would immediately affect my mate. So the confidentiality is very and I repeat very important. I will act as your fiancee until whatever you needed ends. Once that is finished, I want you to accept my mate into your pack. That is my requirement.” William raised an eyebrow at her request. But after thinking for a while, he understood where she was coming from. It was because he was her mate that he was banished from his pack. Now he had to roam the woods as a rogue fighting for his life from all the other packs. It is only natural that he would need a pack to join. But with the influence of her Father, there is no way any other pack would accept him into theirs. After all, why would any pack want to face the wrath of Henry just for the sake of a random rogue? Hence finding a pack for her mate that could also protect him should be Samantha’s main priority. If she could go to the lengths of getting engaged to a man whom she never knew for the sake of her mate’s protection, there is no wonder if she would ask him to take him under his wing. He slowly asked, “Why do you need to wait until after my situation is cleared? If you want, I can take him into my pack immediately too.” Samantha shook her head, “No, that is not at all safe. My father’s eyes would definitely be on him until he felt secure about my marriage. So we have to act like a loving couple in front of him until he is convinced before my mate could take any action.” William nodded his head in understanding. But he added another condition, “before I take him into my pack, I have to meet him. I can’t take any random wolf into my pack based on just your words, right?” Samantha thought for a few seconds before nodding, “Sounds about right.” She felt that it was reasonable for both men to meet before agreeing to her request. After all, taking in a random wolf into a pack could lead to many disturbances. If the new wolf was a spy, then the pack would be destroyed before anyone could understand what was going on. Being an Alpha, it was William’s responsibility to take care of all his pack members and not drag in any dangerous wolves into their den. Though Samantha had trust in her mate, she is not an unreasonable person that would force others to accept him just for her sake. She was sure that once William met him, both men would definitely hit it off and William would definitely take him under his wing. Since she has confidence in him, there is no need to fight against William. It would only look like she had some guilty conscience. One meeting between them wouldn’t cause any damage to their plan either. They continued talking about all their plans and also terms and conditions for a long time until it almost turned dark. They finally decided to go back when William heard the sound of someone approaching. As soon as they went back to the villa, Henry looked at both of them curiously for a second before laughing like an amiable elder. He asked them, “So? How did the conversation go? Is everything alright?” He was looking at Samantha as if asking, ‘Did you manage everything well? Or did you create any trouble?’ William came to her rescue and smiled softly, “We really had a lot in common. I think we can proceed with our relationship.”
