                                                                                    - DAY ONE -         KAYLEE suddenly opened her eyes and almost jump off from bed. Catching her breath. She felt as if she’s drowning, she can’t hardly breathe, she coughs continuously as if she ran for miles. It took a while before she finally composed herself and remembers something. Is it just a dream? That she died on an accident and an angel talked to her?           Until an angel suddenly appears in front of her. Kaylee screamed so loud but the angel quickly covered her mouth.           “Hey, it’s me Uriel.”           Kaylee paused and remember her dream. Memories slowly came back to her. Then, looked at the angel and put took off his hand on her mouth.           “So, everything I remember is not a dream? The accident and the one where we talked in heaven?”           “Correction, that’s not heaven. We are in between…”           “Whatever… but! Does this mean I already time traveled?”           Uriel crossed her arms and nod. “You can look at the date in the calendar.”           Kaylee jumped off of her bed. Her heart beats faster.           “December first, twenty-sixteen.”          “So, it’s true. I came back thirty days early before the day of the accident,” she told herself.           When she walked out from the room. That’s when only Kaylee realizes that she’s not on her apartment. She’s at their house in province. She hurriedly stormed out of the house and asked their neighbor who that time was passing by.           “I’m sorry but, can I ask what’s the date today?”           The old woman smiled at her. “It’s already the first day of December. Looks like you just woke up. Your father told me about what happened to you in Japan. Don’t worry about that, I believe that it’s not your fault. You father raised you a decent woman.”           Kaylee smiled at her. “Thank you.”           “You should rest, dear. You looked really tired.”           “Ah… really? Yes, I’m a bit tired. I’m trying to look for another job.”           “I’m sure you’ll find a new job soon. So, I’ll go ahead.”           “Okay, thank you so much again.”           After that, she went back inside the house. When she opened the door. Kaylee got scared because Uriel suddenly appeared in front her again. She sighed.           “Can you please do me a favor?”           “Sure, what is it?”           “Stop popping out in front of me! I might die because of heart attack this time instead of car accident! I might not finish the thirty-one days!”           Uriel laughed.           “Sorry.”           When she went inside. Kaylee sat on the sofa.           “What should I do next?” she asked.           “What else? Look for Grayson. Don’t forget that today is your first day. You still have thirty-days.”           Kaylee breathe out. “I know what will happen to day. Grayson will call me around two in the afternoon. He will ask me to go to his house. By this time, he already knew about what happened to me in Japan.”           “No no no! You seem to forget something.”           “What?”           “I told you, remember? There will be changes on the events in your life when you come back. And don’t forget, he doesn’t remember you now. You’re not existing in his memories. You have to do something for him to be able to remember you. The events happened before the accident was different. Starting today, everything that will happen on the next thirty days will depend on the progress of your mission. That is because of Grayson’s memory loss. The only event that will happen exactly as what happened before is the car accident.”           Kaylee closed her eyes and took a deep breath. She hasn’t even starting and yet she already felt the stress and pressure. How can she make Grayson remember her as soon as possible?           “Can’t you change it? Why does it have to be this way? How can I do my mission if he cannot remember me?”           Uriel shrugged his shoulder.           “How can we know your determination to do your mission successfully if we will not do it that way? Our Big Boss wants to know and he wants to make sure if you really want to correct your mistake wholeheartedly.”           “As if I have a choice,” she sighed.           Uriel smiled again. “Exactly!”           Kaylee lay her back on the sofa. She wants to see Grayson as soon as possible. She misses him already. At the same time, worried. What if she fails her missions?           “Don’t worry, I’ll do my best to do my mission. Grayson doesn’t love the way I love him. It’s always been one-sided, that’s why I will not have a hard time to confess my feelings. He will just probably laugh at me.”           He smirked. “Are you sure?”           “Yeah! I know him! I am just a friend and that’s it.”           Uriel wasn’t able to answer her when the door suddenly opened. When she looked back again, the angel already disappeared. Kaylee immediately stand up, tears immediately rushed down her cheeks as soon as she saw her father.           “Papa?”           He looked at him.           “Oh, when did you woke up? Give me more time, I will just cook our lunch,” he said.           Kaylee wasn’t able to hold back her tears as she approached her father and embraced him tightly. Her Dad must be wondering what’s happening to her, but he didn’t ask anything, he just embraced her back, tightly.           “Don’t worry, you’ll be able to find another job. God knows you’re innocent. You just happen to meet a very influential family,” he said, thinking that she’s crying over what happened to her in Japan.           It’s been eight months since she came back from Japan, before the accident happened, where she worked as an English Teacher for six years. She was forced to resign and go back home after she got involved on a scandal. She was accused of hitting one of her students physically. It happens that the parents of her student have high profile status in Japan. In the end, the school management decided to relieve her from her position. She just accepts the decision of the management instead of going to jail. Since she came back, Kaylee had a hard time of finding a job here in the Philippines when they learned about her case in Japan.           “I miss you, Pa.”           She heard him laughed.           “What’s happening to you?”           She forced herself to laugh, then nod. “Nothing, I’m just practicing to cry. I will just apply as an actress, if I no one accepts me as a Teacher,” she jokingly answered.           Her father laughed again.           “it’s good to see you laugh and smile despite what you’re going through.”           Kaylee sighed. “That’s life, Pa. I don’t want to take my problem seriously.”           She followed him in the kitchen and help him prepare the lunch.           “Oh, by the way, have you heard the news?”           “About what?”           “Grayson’s car crashed earlier today. He’s on his way home from an event when a truck hit his car. According to the news, he is on the hospital now.”           Kaylee felt worried. She wants to immediately go to the hospital and see him. But she has to restrain herself. The situation now is different. She can’t just go there and appear in front of him.           “What? Aren’t you going to the hospital and visit him? Go ahead and prepare, I’ll just cook faster so you can eat before you go.”           “Okay Pa.”
