Still Jon's point of view The call came the next day. It was Nick. He had been through the archives. He found two cases of wolves having human mates. Each of those cases the humans died. The first was killed by a jealous she-wolf. The second died in childbirth. This wasn't comforting.  "The case with the jealous she-wolf is especially concerning. In this case, she challenged the human at the acceptance ceremony. The human was killed, though the pack did banish the she-wolf." He finished. This wasn't the news I was hoping for. That could easily happen here. My parents weren't the only ones who hated humans. My own bias may have even contributed to this attitude among the pack.
